I arrived in Sydney, Australia on a Sunday after a very long flight and suspected that I might have a big health problem due to the trip. The receptionist at the front desk was very caring and said she would try to find a doctor for me. She researched it on-line and found a medical clinic nearby but they had just closed (2pm on Sunday). So she left a message for the Monday morning desk receptionist to get an appointment for me. She did. I went to the clinic (within walking distance of the hotel.0 I spoke to a doctor who sent me for further tests and very fortunately, I was OK. The hotel staff was very caring and efficient. That was the first time in all my travels I've needed medical help and they were terrific!

The room was good !! We paid for a harbor view room and to say there was a view is a real reach. We were on the 10th floor of a 20 story building. There MAY have been some harbor views on higher floors but probable not. All-in-all it was a nice place and a good room in a great location.

We had a good stay at the Breakfree. It's a great location on George and close to Darling Harbor and the central train station. The only thing that did not meet my expectations was the size of the bed and the bathroom. I got a good rate and was able to get transportation to the airport, but no transportation from the airport to the hotel.

"Don't go there!!!"
I would not recommend anyone to stay there. I booked a private room which was dirty! The bathrooms wasn't cleaned for two days and there was no toiletpaper for those two days! There was also a lot of fungus in the sealing. The kitchen was so gross that I wouldn't cook anything there. And I can't even describe how disgusting i found the lounge area! "Close to the Cross + the CBD"
I did not know what I had let myself in for when I first saw this Hostel. There was a couple of problems with my room which were fixed very promptly. I am 65 + I worried I would be out of place in a young environment. However the Kids who were staying there + the Young staff welcomed me warmly + were interested in things I had to talk about. "A great cheap room in Kings Cross"
This hostel has clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, and is situated less than a 10-minute walk from the city and train station. Downsides are: the steady stream of noisy traffic, and the plethora of people congregating in the entry-way, often drinking and smoking (not always cigarettes). "City resort, not for the delicate..."
Pictures at hotels.com told quite a different story than the actual hostel, that was very run down and depressing. Free wifi unstable and only working at the hall-way by the door. Problems with the creditcard machine when paying for rooms (that are not refundable). All in all an experience I could have lived without.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Crapiest place on earth"

"City Resort Hostel - just for partying"
El Hostel es un desastre - la habitación estaba sucia, era incómoda y pasamos frio debido a que no había frazadas. El "shower only" es eso, una ducha, y el baño compartido es por pasillo y lo limpian cada tres días. Solo lo recomiendo si lo que buscas es emborracharte y fumar en los pasillos. Nos devolvieron la reserva cuando nos fuimos anticipadamente.
