This was a great stay. The room was huge and comfortable with a nice canopy bed, plenty of storage, and a nice TV. View was amazing as we could see the ocean from our 3rd floor room. The bathroom was very large with a giant tub that easily fit 2. The shower was lovely and a nice size, though the water pressure could of been a bit better. The location of this hotel was perfect. We came in at Edinburgh Waverly and several buses (5, 44, 113, 24X) all stop RIGHT in front of the hotel. There is an ASDA (walmart super store) with a wonderful breakfast cafe about 10 minutes walk. Porto Bella is about 15 minutes away which is a gorgeous little beach front area with an amazing cafe in the swim center that makes homemade food. The bus will get you into Edinburgh in about 30-45 minutes. Edinburgh castle, Arthur's seat, the Parliament, etc is all there. One of the best hotels I have stayed in at a great price. The Bistro, Bar and Restaurant downstairs were good but very expensive.

The accomodation was just adequate though good value for money. One of the reasons we selected it was that it was described as a 4 star guesthouse & unfortunately I could not see how this rating could be at all justified . Our bathroom was seperate from the room, this was not apparent at the time of booking.The venue was run by a series of very courteaous […] overseas students , who changed daily,even though on the door it described itself as a ''family run business'' it did not seem to be the case at all.The cooked breakfast on both days was quite cold & the sausages on day 2 so undercooked they were inedible. The staff at the hotel were all extremely nice and willing to help. The only problem we encountered was that the toilet in our room was not working the night that we arrived but this was fixed the next day.

The bed was super comfortable and massive; the best sleep we've had for a long time in a hotel/guest house! The staff were ever so willing to help, even if it didn't always come out the way you wanted to - the staff always did their best to help. Within 10 minutes you were in the heart of Edinburgh (Old Town), and having come from a hotel that was twice […] as expensive, this guest house was a great little find. The only regret was that the room didn't have a desk which would've been handy, and occasionally it took more than a reasonable time to try to hunt down the hair dryer, of which they had two in the whole house! room was very small , en-suite was tiny it measured about 2 feet across , there was no room to turn . we ordered breakfast as requested the night before , but had to wait over half hour . this place was just a B&B ( breakfast was an optional extra ) it should not be listed on your hotel's.com website .

This would have been good value if we hadn't paid the extra charge for an ensuite room. The bathroom was tiny and looked as if it had been built inside a wardrobe: advanced contortionist skills a must!However, we had a great view from our room and there is a cheap and frequent bus service into the centre. Unlikely to stay there again but it was OK.

Nb'sis a poor mans backpackers at best. Whilst the staff were lovely and tried to help out where they could, the accomodation was poor. There were 2 wet towels hanging in the room, the wardrobe tipped over when the doors were opened and the radiator cover not attached properly. After our 6 hour drive to Edinburgh, we arrived at NB's and walked in to a home made reception desk in the dining room !! Then the gentleman informed us that as we booked online our booking wasn't actioned and they had sold our room over the phone ! Vi möttes av trevlig och hjälpsam personal samt en hund när vi checkade in. Hund och heltäckningsmattor överallt var inte så bra för min allergiska bror men det gick okej ändå. Jag sov dåligt i bäddsoffefåtöljen men det var bara jag. Det gick inte att stänga dörren till badrummet ordentligt vilket var ganska störande men vi hängde upp en handduk så […] var det problemet löst. 20 - 30 minuters promenad till centrum eller ta bussen nästan utanför dörren. Maison victorienne sur une avenue très passante, absolument pas entretenue : sale, très bruyante (pas de double vitrage, on dort dans la rue !), mobilier de mauvaise qualité. NB´s Guesthouse i Edingburgh Hyggeligt guesthouse med rigtig god betjenning og rimelig god beliggenhed. Hotellets faciliteter og generelle tilstand svarer dog ikke til 4 stjerner, mere 2 eller 3 stjerner. Alt i alt havde hele familien dog et rigtigt godt ophold.

We had a really good time in Edinburgh and NB's Guest House was a perfect hotel for us. It's situated near the old town and it was very easy to go by bus to the city centre. The rooms were simple but comfortable. The service was very good and we didn't have any problems during our vacation.

Trevligt, enkelt litet hotell med någorlunda komfortabel promenadsträcka till centrum. Rummet var av lägenhetstyp, dvs. med tillgång till en liten kokvrå, något vi inte hade räknat med.
