The owner seems to be all on his own, and a bit stretched thin. He seemed very nice, if frantic. The interior is charming, if very dark. The lack of elevator is understandable in such an old building, though difficult with heavy bags and steep stairs. The laminate floors turned our socks a bit black from a lack of sweeping, but the bathrooms were in […] decent condition. The lack of screens on the windows of Ireland meant a lot of moths in the bath, whose window had to remain open to get the damp air out. Hotel very quiet, heating not switched on through the day, and lookedand felt like trying to save money. Bar not open on Thursday night, ( our arrival date).
