This is a very pleasant guest house in a town just outside of Garmisch and about a 15 minute walk from the Zugspitze rail. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional, home-cooked, and plentiful. I stayed here by myself for two nights. Regina took care of me like family on both days, including volunteering to drive me to the Zugspitze rail and to the Garmish metro when I left (both in the snow). She also was able to accommodate an early breakfast for me so I could catch my train on time. The house is from the 1890s and, although renovated, still has a simple, old Bavarian feel to it. The room was simple (had a deep bath tub, rather than mounted shower stall) but clean and comfortable. I was surprised at how pleasantly quiet the house was at night and slept very well. Lastly, they have a very cozy, copper fireplace w/ comfortable leather furniture in the front, bar area that is perfect for lounging in after a hard day of skiing. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for inexpensive convenience, comfort, and quiet!

Despite the fact that it took them over 1 hour to check us in because they couldnt find our reservation... we really had a great experience! Very friendly staff and amazing breakfast. Beautiful view of the mountains from restaurant's patio. Easy to get around the city.

We had a delightful stay at the Hotel Central. The hotel is a very easy walk from the old city and its many attractions, and just a few blocks from the train station. Breakfast buffet was diverse, plentiful, and of high quality. Desk staff was very helpful, fluent in both German and English. Our room was spacious, clean, and generally comfortable. The only small problem was that it was a few degrees warmer than we would have preferred and we couldn't find a thermostat in the room to adjust the temperature. Other members of our family had the same problem in their rooms. It wasn't a big concern though, and we didn't bother to notify the hotel staff about it. There is very little communication between the hotel and the attached cafe/restaurant. It was surprisingly difficult to make a dinner reservation by calling the number listed on the hotel website. When I tried to confirm the dining reservation upon arrival at the hotel, I was told I could only do that with the restaurant manager directly. Considering that it's a relatively small hotel, I thought they should have been able to handle that. Overall though, our stay at the Hotel Central was a very positive experience.

We opted for the accommadations with shared facilities. We only had to share with two other rooms and it didn't cause any problems. The room was larger than we needed and had a nice little table we could sit at. The beds did slide apart on us and my husband almost fell between the two beds because he wanted to get some what close to me. The sheets were […] nice--beds were fine--comforters were nice. We would definately stay there again--esp. since we basically walked only a few hundred feet to get there from the main train station. We were very close to the "downtown" area and all the local sights we'd want to see. Overall a nice hotel in an excellent location. The worker who took care of us was nice and the Cleanliness of the room was good. There is free parking in the area between 7 pm to 9 am also free parking if you order ahead at the hotel. Great location Overall I would recommend the hotel.

You don't want to come here for more than 1 night and not if you don't need to be near the train station (which is very close). Don't bother to alert them to the hour of your arrival, if it happens after 9 pm, since in any case they won't bother to be there: although I had warned them I would be arriving at 10.30 pm, and though I arrived at 10 pm, I […] had to wait 20 minutes under the snow for someone to open the door (and only because I found their telephone number among my stuff). The room was heated insufficiently; the curtains let the sun light come in directly at the crack of dawn; towels are only very small (for shower too); Wi-Fi working intermittently; no breakfast (but this is stated very clearly in their website: it's just to say that no additional benefits come from choosing this place in particular); no credit cards accepted. They would clean the room every day, as far as I could see, but starting around 8.30 am or so, and randomly, so you'd better get out before getting cleansed. I'll be going back to Innsbruck, but, since better accommodation in hotels can be found for a little more money, certainly not here. Read more

The only reason I gave this hotel a low rating on neighborhood is that the roads around it were under construction and that made crossing streets difficult. My kids and I stayed there in April of 2011. My son is almost 5 and he could walk the distance from the hotel into town--it was very close. Das Hotel war recht einfach, kein Luxus, wir hatten ein Gemeinschaftsbad auf dem Flur. Aber alles war ordentlich und sauber. Ich würde das Stoi empfehlen wenn man eine günstige Unterkunft für eine Städtereise sucht.

Hotelli sijaitsee aivan Insbrukin keskustassa. Hotelli oli ehkä hieman hankala löytää koska se jäi toisen rakennuksen taakse eikä sitä kadulla ajaessa heti osannut huomata. Parkkipaikka löytyi hotellin oven edestä ja on ilmainen. Hotellin recepsion on toisessa kerroksessa. Palvelu on ystävällistä mutta niukkaa. Da vi Kom hele famillien godt trætte havde de givet vores værelse til nogle andre. Godt gal i skralden, bede jeg ham om at finde et andet værelse/hotel til os hvad han dog også gjorde. Han betale også differensen.

Hôtel très bien situé, à 2 pas de la vieille ville d'Innsbruck. Personnel sympathique. Chambres spacieuses et propres. Les sanitaires à l'étage étaient également bien entretenus. Cependant, l'hôtel est mal insonorisé et on entend un peu les voisins et les bruits extérieurs (avions, trains, voitures...). Literie bas de gamme. Pas de parking, il faut […] arriver bien en avance pour réussir à se garer devant l'hôtel (4 places). Parking payant à proximité. Je recommanderais cet hôtel pour un court séjour uniquement.
