Beautifully decorated & very restful property. Owners very attentive with great, friendly service - nice touches such as very welcome pot of tea served... on arrival & petals placed on bed as part of turn down service. We hadn't appreciated when booking that the property is in a residential area a little way out of Hermanus which was the only downside for us. by a Hotels.com guest on 11/22/11

B&B's and Guesthouses in the UK could learn a lot from this place - simply stunning! From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted by Louis & Jena, the owners. Not only is it a beautiful place to stay but the warm welcome definitely added to our first impressions. We were offered tea, coffee or a glass of wine in the guest lounge - a great touch. The […] whole decor of the guesthouse was beautiful - definitely inspiration on how to decorate my own home and make it modern yet welcoming and cosy. Our room was lovely - it had all modern amenities that you would expect but also had a few surprises like underfloor heating, a bathtub in the room where you can see the sea, a huge bathroom with a great shower!! Bathrooms always make a room for me and this was one of the best I'd stayed in. The guesthouse owners were also able to recommend a nice restaurant for us to eat out in at night - they have a helpful guide of the local restaurants and what each one serves - great if you're short on time and want to eat somewhere good! In the morning we had a lovely breakfast! It was the best breakfast of my whole trip to SA. In terms of location, 138 Marine is situated right on the seafront, so you get excellent views from the property. Its a safe location - only a few mins drive to the main shopping area of Hermanus. I just wished I had stayed here for 3 nights instead of 1 - we did a tour of the Garden Route and I much prefered Hermanus to the towns of Mossel Bay, Knysna or Plettenberg Bay - I would definitely recommend staying here for at least 2nts as we didn't get to see everything the place had to offer - definitely more restaurants and things for tourists to do than other towns we visited. Overall I can't recommend this place enough, friendly owners & staff, lovely location, great breakfast and best of all - the beautiful rooms and decor!! Read more

Das Guesthouse liegt direkt am Ozean und ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit tollem Ausblick auf das Meer. Das Eigentümer-Ehepaar ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist ein Gedicht!
