"If you're staying in Tuscany, stay here!"

If you are looking for a B&B, tucked away in the Tuscan countryside, outside of the main Tuscan 'hubs', with gourmet food and alive, fun and warm hosts, then stay here. The B&B is run by a local family who warmly welcome you into their house - they are also a wealth of knowledge, always there to provide tips on 'non-tourity' things to do/restaurants, and an insight into the Tuscan way of life. The rooms each have a different character to them, and they look like they are straight out of styling magazine, yet in a warm and homely way. The food is home made every day. I was so excited to wake up every morning to handmade bread, delicious cheese and sweet treats. The B&B also seems to attract an interesting mix of people, which was another highlight for us - we had great meals sitting around their shared kitchen table, meeting interesting people from all walks of life. We can't wait to go back!
"A perfect holiday in the countryside"

Aside from getting lost on the way to Follonico, our visit was a huge success from start to finish. We were driving without GPS and found it difficult to locate Susanne's homey retreat on our own. A quick call on our mobile to Susanne, and she sorted us out and had us headed to her within 5 minutes. Upon arrival, Susanne told us she'd upgraded us to a suite, which we happily accepted. We asked for recommendations for dinner in the area, and quick as a shot, she came up with 3 different places. The one we chose was an organic farm about 20 minutes' drive away. Knowing we had no GPS, she loaned us her TomTom, which was already set up for us. What a clever idea! Before leaving for dinner, we lazed about in lawn chairs out front, and enjoyed watching her little chicks frolicking. When not admiring the chicks, we were mesmerised by the views of vineyards and ancient towns in the distance. The next morning, we rose to a delicious breakfast served in the main house, and Susanne offered us plenty of advice on how to get to our next destination, including stops for lunch and areas of historical interest. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. One day is definitely not enough!

In the heart of Tuscany you find with Follonico the perfect situated accomodation you can wish for. With the help of the provided GPS and the tips of the landlords you can discover the region completely relaxed. Enjoy dolce vita on the terasse, sleep in absolutely unique rooms and eat the best home made and every day changing breakfast in Italy. We loved it and we would recommend it to everybody looking for amazing holidays in Tuscany.
"Tuscany at its best"

My husband and I have just left Follonico after a wonderful 4 nights stay, and the only negative comment we have is that we wish we'd booked for longer!! Follonico is a very special place and Suzanne and Fabio are such good hosts, they really made us feel at home straight away. The building itself has been restored in the most loving way and the attention to detail is amazing! I kept walking around the various rooms and outside areas in amazement! The views are quite frankly some of the best in all of Tuscany (after driving around most of it, we know!) Suzanne and Fabio recommended lots of special places to drive to and go for dinner throughout our stay which really added to our Tuscan experience and helped us to relax (especially when they provided us with a sat nav for the duration of our stay!). We visited so many beautiful little towns and tasty local restaurants, however one of the evenings all we felt like doing was to sit in the garden with a glass of wine and our books, so Fabio kindly made us a delicious light dinner from the veg in his garden - it really was home from home. We cannot say enough about Follonico and it's hosts (including their 2 dogs, cat, donkey, horse and various chickens!) - they all made us feel part of their family and we can't wait to go back again one day. If you want a beautiful relaxed base for exploring Tuscany this is paradise.

Excellent hotel in a beatiful location. Very, very charming. Samll family run hotel, where the owners take really good care of their guests. The kind of service, tips of places to go and visit, restaurants and so on make them unique. Extremely recommended.
"Perfect Tuscan B&B"

This hotel was recommended to us by a friend. We had originally booked a smaller room but found out they upgraded us to the "Verde Intenso" Suite which was a fantastic surprise. Everything about the resort is decorated beautifully. The scenery is incredible and the views from the windows are surreal. Immediately upon arrival we were greeted by Fabio with an espresso before showing us around. We were given time to settle in before going back downstairs to find out what they recommend for our first night. If you listen to what they suggest you can't go wrong!! There are a couple small villages nearby that have a few restaurants which are very nice to go to. We did an evening horseback ride to watch the sunset which was also amazing. Antonio manages the Horseback Rides and is incredibly hospitable. Once we finished our ride we were invited to have a beer and eat sandwiches his son had made that were delicious. The family is wonderful and we would highly suggest going there. Suzanna and Fabio are excellent cooks. We had delicious breakfasts and had a dinner they offer to all of their guests (which also includes all the wine you can drink) that was great. They use the vegetables they grow from their garden and everything else comes from local producers. They were incredible hosts and did everything they could to make our stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. This was one of the best experiences we had on our entire trip! If you want the quintessential Tuscan experience, stay at Follonico.

Words can't describe how much we love Follonico... My husband and I have been here several times and we will continue to come back again and again. You will never feel so relaxed sitting on the property and gazing out towards the rolling hills. Simply breathtaking. The modern rustic stone farmhouse is beautifully decorated and is absolutely charming and very comfortable. Suzanne and Fabio are warm, upbeat, and gracious hosts- whatever help you need, they are there for you. A fantastic breakfast is cooked by Fabio each morning with organic produce straight out of their garden. Follonico truly exudes warmth and happiness. We just may book it for the whole year because we want to live there.
"Amazing place in a beautiful location"

Our stay was perfect and Suzanna and Fabio were fantastic hosts. The old farmhouse has been expertly refurbished and furnished and every way that you look the view is incredible - it felt like we were living in a postcard. Breakfasts were a treat and there are lots of places to visit that are a short drive away. We'll be going back and hopefully in the not too distant future.

We absolutely loved our three-night stay at Follonico and absolutely hated to leave. Fabio and Suzanne are gracious and energetic hosts who have thought of everything for a wonderful stay - from delicious (and varied) breakfasts every morning, to offering us fava beans straight from the garden to add to our impromptu picnic, to the intimate dinner they prepared for us one night using fresh, delicious food from their garden and surrounding farms, to soft linens and lovely bath products, to sightseeing recomendations (including the most scenic roads to take), to the loan of a pre-programmed GPS, to restaurant recommendations, and much more. We loved both our room (the Verde Intenso suite) and the common spaces - the aesthetic throughout was simple luxury, charm and comfort. We hope to return someday soon!
