"Hotel Genetes, Rome"
It is extremely essential for guests to confirm whether the front desk/reception is open otherwise one can get stranded. Otherwise this hotel is very good value for money.

During my first solo trip to Europe, I decided to stay in Gentes. I am very happy I chose it while visiting Rome. The room was very clean, the location was great and Cristina, the owner was extremely helpful. Since the first day she recommended several places to visit and eat. It was very easy to move around with her guidance and my stay at Rome was the best. I will definitely recommend my friends to stay at Gentes when they go to Rome. If you are looking for a place that is affordable, has great location, and friendly staff, I highly recommend Gentes B&B. Thank you for all your help Cristina!. Hope to go back soon.
"Good location and competitive rates"

The apartment has good location which only 10 minutes walk to the Coloseo and 3 minutes walk to the Metro Mazoni. Room is small but clean. Good option especially in peak season. I will definitely recommend it to friends. The host recommended a very nice restaurant to me , good food and competitive prices.
"A Great B&B"

My wife and I had a wonderful 2 nights stay at Gentes B&B. The owners were very friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants and sights to see in the area. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower and bathroom were perfect. The internet worked without any problems. Also available are three different coffee/espresso machines. Gentes B&B was easily our favorite place we stayed in in Rome. It will be our first choice when in Rome again.
"Very pleasant place to stay in"

We spent wonderful 3 days in Rome this April. Gentes is a perfect place for those who don't want to waste time using public transport to reach the city centre. Breakfast was good enough to start a new day full of motion. The room was clean, but a little cool at night. But the problem was solved by closing windows:) There is no wonder we will book this B&B next time we are in Rome.
"Great location & contemporary homely atmosphere"
Although a bit hard to find as it is in an apartment block, our taxi driver knew exactly how to find it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a very cute converted apartment with 3 separate rooms. We stayed in the purple (triple) room, which was clean and contemporary. We had to share a bathroom across the hall but it wasn't a problem as we never ran into anyone else. Although there was a couple with a baby staying in one of the other rooms we felt as if we were alone there so we were not bothered by noise and it was private enough. Because there are only three rooms it feels homely and safe. There was a communal lounge/kitchen with free water and juice, which was a nice touch. It is situated really close to the metro station and Piazza S. Giovanni, from where you can catch a bus. The free breakfast is just down the block at a little corner cafe (coffee and croissant). The location is great - just down the road from the Coliseum and in the heart of the old city. I would recommend Gentes B&B to anyone.
"Comfortable and friendly."

We found this place a little difficult to find at first but once we got there the staff were incredibly friendly and gave us a few good places to go. We stayed in the orange room (double) which was very clean and contemporary in design. The bed was comfortable and made every day. We did have a peak at the other rooms which seemed similar in standard. The bathroom was across the hallway, also contemporary in design and very clean but it was for our room's use only. Breakfast was basic but tasty and set us up for the day. A lovely place when exploring Rome.

I had difficult time at first finding the location of the hotel. Me and my friend walk through the via tasso and could not find it. Luckily nice italian girl phone the hotel for us, and it is exactly near musei de liberaziation,,and do not expect to see sign board with name b&b gentes, just find the apartement building with number 155, and you are in the right place. But apart from that, the room is nice, we have orange room with external private bathroom. Just perfect stay in rome.
"Cozy and unique B&B"

My friend and I got this B&B from our friend who already stayed here last year, so we book for 2 nights. We arrived around 7.30 pm and try to look this place. 1. The address is correct but somehow I found the location in Trip Advisor lead us to other part of Via Tasso 2. There is no clue where is the Gentes B&B at all, even the number is 155 is not in sequence.. lucky for us, there was a Italian woman who willing to call to the Gentes B&B, and finally (accidentally, to be honest) we found it. So tips for everybody who wants to go to this hotel : if you coming from Termini, take ine A metro to Anagnina and stop at Manzoni. Manzoni only 2 stops from Termini. Then take exit to Via Tasso road, go straight until you find 'Revenge' bar/coffee turn left. The hotel will be on your right side next to Museo Storico Della Liberazione. Overall we enjoy our stay, room and bathroom is clean, and they also clean our room in daily basis.. recommended place to stay at Rome..
"Not to bad actually"

Small B&B. Room was fine. Bathroom across the hall. We didn't have hot water the first morning. Not sure why. The next two mornings were fine. Breakfast was at the coffee shop/bar on the corner. You get a croissant and a cappuccino which seems to be pretty standard fair for the smaller b&bs. The street it was on looked a little shaddy but we had no problems at all. Was a pretty good location. 2 blocks from the metro. Not to far to walk to the Colosseum. We would consider staying again. Didn't see anyone from the B&B after check-in.
