We enjoyed our stay! Charming very old Gasthof in Matten. Very old building, with low ceilings! We could walk to the Interlaken West train station. A bit off the beaten path, but near the Tell outdoor theatre in summer, would be a plus.

Alpha Thun was clean and comfortable. There is a city bus stop right at the door, so it's convenient to get there from the main train station. It's very close to the lake and an easy walk to Seepark. Breakfast was included, and it was delicious. We were happy with our choice to stay at Alpha Thun.

I've stayed in this hotel twice in the last couple of years and both times have been a real pleasure. The decor in the public areas is really nice and they've kept some of the original stone walls and flooring on show so it has a really cosy feel in places. The bar is particularly nice and the service from the bar and restaurant staff is fantastic, […] with English being very well spoken by everyone. The restaurant is especially worthy of mention as it has a really authentic menu and the quality of food is exceptional (the fondue and flambe skewers very nice!). The rooms are quite small but nicely decorated and the views of the mountains surrounding Interlaken makes it feel really special. Their reception gave good advice on the local area and we ended up arranging our train journey up the Jungfrau with the hotel - they even helped us get the best discounts. Highly recommend for a stay in the Interlaken region. Read more

The ceiling in our room was cracked and sagging. During our 4-night stay, we were very worried that the ceiling would crash down on us any moment! The upholstery on the armchairs and settee was very faded and dusty, definitely not suitable for people with an allergy to dustmites! The room was dim and pretty depressing. The bathroom to our relief was […] renovated. However, the shower was over the bath and the bath had very high sides, making it extremely treacherous to get in and out of the shower. The only saving grace was the buffet breakfast. There was a good spread and the food was replenished regularly throughout the breakfast period. Read more

Ein scheinbar erst vor kurzer Zeit vollkommen renoviertes Hotel. Von aussen sieht es nach einem der vielen schönen Jahrhundertwende Hotels aus. Das Innere des Hotels inkl. der Zimmer ist nicht weniger gelungen aber/und komplett neu und modern. Für Schweizer Verhältnisse ist das Hotel, wie aus eigener Erfahrung die meisten Hotels in Interlaken auch, […] mit tollem Service, ausgezeichnetem Essen und perfekten Zimmern gesegnet. Diese Umstände sind wahrscheinlich der hauptsächlich Asiatischen Kundschaft zu verdanken, die in enormen Mengen Interlaken beleben und sich offenbar generell ein höheres Level erwarten als Schweizer Gäste. Vergleicht man das Komplettangebot mit anderen Regionen in der Schweiz bekommt man in Interlaken und speziell auch in diesem Hotel sensationell viel für sein Geld geboten. Die Qualität der Mahlzeiten im hoteleigenen Restaurant ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben, ich habe selten so gut - für diesen Preis - in der Schweiz gegessen. Das einizige was mich persönlich gestört hat, sind die enormen Kosten für das erstaunlicherweise nicht kostenlose W-Lan im Hotel. Ein Umstand der in diesen Zeiten doch etwas verwundert. Bien que proche de la gare d'Interlaken Ost, le trajet global jusqu'aux pistes de ski est très long. Mais la remarque vaut pour tous les hôtels d'Interlaken. L'hôtel en lui-même propose de très belles chambres, spacieuses et décorées avec goût, ainsi qu'une très bonne cuisine.

Uitstekend hotel voor uitgangspunt uitstapjes in de regio.Enige minpunt was, dat de kamer warm gestookt werd en dat kon je (afgezien van openen balkondeur) niet wijzigen. kregen bij vargen daarover wel netjes een ventilator op de kamer. Veel (en vriendelijk en hulpvaardig) personeel.
