This place was fine. Firstly, when you drive along the only road to get to this place, there is a barrier/gate type thing. You need a code to get thru. I pushed the button and they told me to contact the hotel to get it??? Hotels.com didn't mention this in a confirmation email??? Anyway, we called the hotel and got it. Hotel is in the Main Street, parking across the road in an open parking area. Reception staff spoke English ok. Room was quite large, wifi only worked the closer you got to the door. Shower was fine, bed fine, - only problem was the door downstairs. It was soooo loud it just kept banging as guests left. Sounded like gunshots. The abbey is about 2km down the road. Perfect location. Bus stops out the front of hotel. Recommended .

Hotel was quaint and clean. Good luck finding. It's tucked away in a commercial area, but once there you're in a sanctuary. No AC. Continental Breakfast was good and had lots of options. It's outside of the central old city, so walking to the town center is not an option.

This hotel is first class, it's in an unusual location, in the middle of a retail park, but the hotel was there first! Our family room faced the main road but the room was well soundproofed so we were not disturbed. the restaurant is very high quality and therefore the prices reflect this. We did not have breakfast but it looked very nice.The staff […] were helpful and the room was very clean. No tea or coffee making facilities were available in the room, although the supermarket is within walking distance where there are coffee shops. Overall the hotel is very well located for a holiday, or as we did, a very convenient stopover for the ferry. I would definitely stay here again. I hope you find this review helpful. Read more

This was a lovely little hotel for an overnight stay before catching the ferry back to Portsmouth..The location was a little offputting at first- beside a busy road and in the middle of a shoppong complex however parking was good. hotel confortable de charme clinquant flanqué d'une aile type hôtel formule 1 et vue sur le parking de l’hôtel, qui en plus de la vue n'offre pas de place pour notre voiture qui termine sur le parking de Kiabi... Le charme n'est pas brisé par le plateau déjeuné en faux bois type cafétéria des années 1980... dommage pour les 9€!
