After a long day of traveling, missed connections there was a discrepancy with our reservation upon arrival. In addition the hotels appearance was not great as it is currently under construction adding additional rooms. This could have been a disaster, but it was not. The manager and hotel staff at Monchapet were warm, friendly and attended to all the details to honor the reservation. We were greeted each morning with our choice of cafe, tea or chocolate and fresh croissants and bread. The hotel is located with in walking distance of lovely Dijon. Restaurants, churches, parks the holiday lights were very accessible by foot. I would recommend Monchapet.

This hotel is lovely with the exception of the rooms which were decidedly average. The hotel has lovely gardens, a nice outdoor pool and newly refurbished... reception, bar and lobby. Without doubt though the star of e hotel is the restaurant. The food was simply fantastic and the cheese course the best I have ever has, anywhere. My total bill for the room, food and wine was 248 euro and I would have paid that for the meal alone in NY or London and would have been completely satisfied. Nice chateau but their wi if was not working. Booked this accomodation because it was advertised as having wifi. I needed my iPad to work so I could research and book more accomodation. Very frustrating and upsetting. Also reception staff on Sunday could not speak English, very poor service for a hotel chain.

Fantastic surroundings, lovely pool and a great view from our room over the grounds. Could offer an alternative to the haut cuisine catering as it was exceptionally narrow. Overall though, a fantastic experience.
