Lastingham Grange - North Yorkshire (county)

Only spent one night, but this was due only to the inclement weather. We stayed on the first floor and it was very warm and cozy with a newly decorated en-suite shower room. Very clean with friendly owners. We had an excellent night's sleep and a delicious breakfast.

I liked all in this hotel:) my fiancée and I enjoyed our big sized room, the quality of service, our delicious breakfast, and the amazing view from the room! I ihighly recommend this hotel! I know exactly that we will be staying here next year!

Only a short walk downtown, this place was great. We stayed one night and it was the most comfortable bed we slept in during our 2 week trip. Food in the hotel was okay.

From the time I checked in until the morning I left was a pleasant experience. The room was great. Very comfortable. They were even able to accomodate me for an extra night. My first room was actually in a separate building in the back. Very quiet. My second room was in the main building. I was on the second floor and there was no elevator but they helped me with my luggage. Breakfast was very good. The location is a very nice walk in to the town center and close to just about everything. I walked all over York and was not too far from my room. The neighborhood was good. The service was impeccable. And I don't drink but they have a nice bar right in the house. I would highly recommend this guest house.

The hotel was good and the staff were excellent, very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The only disadvantage was that the hotel was a long way from the main area of the town and we had to take a bus or taxi but the cost of the room and the hotel itself offset this.
