My wife and I stayed at the Hotel El Faro for five days on our vacation. the place is amazing and beautiful. The restaurant is first rate. If it was closer, I would go back every year.

Very pleased with out stay. It is a business type hotel, but the location is very convenient as it is right by the Old City where most of the action is. So much fun to walk around at night with restaurants, shops, etc. At 10:00 pm restaurants are totally busy. Had a problem with printing out our boarding passes with Ryanair (avoid them if you can) they nickle and dime you for everything. Previously, we were staying at a 5 star hotel and they were not helpful at all with our problem. Moved over to this hotel and Roberta at the front desk was so delightful and pleasant and and even called them for us using our cell phone as Ryanair even charges to call them! Being we don't speak Italian, she helped with our problem and printed out our passes for us. Something the other hotel was not interested in doing. An employee like Roberta, is a real asset. She was professional and willing to assist us with all our questions and needs. Our room was very comfortable and had a great view of the Old City, park and harbor. You could watch all the boats coming and going. They have a nice eating and drinking area on the top floor with amazing views. We went up their for drinks before dinner (Apertivo) and in the morning for their lovely breakfast. Great way to start the day. Don't hesitate to stay here as you will enjoy it.

The Angedras (whose name we had a hard time remembering until a cabbie pointed out that it's "Sardegna" spelled backwards) was a fine choice for an Oct wknd. Friendly, patient front desk staff. Comfortable bed. Ocean breezes. Spacious bathroom. A two-block walk to the water. Even English-language cable. Just two negatives: the breakfast was pretty thin, and the weak, old shutter locks made it hard to keep the windows open during the night because the wind would slam them closed -- a real shame in a town known for beaches.

La Playa is close to San Giovanni Beach, Lido Beach, and Maria Pia Beach. Also nearby are Madonna del Santo Rosario and Maddalena Tower.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel La Playa which is about 15 mins walk from Alghero old town in a quiet back street just a short distance from the beach. A local bus service is available but not very regular. Excellent food on offer for evening meal. Good air conditioning in rooms. Make sure to book a pool view room.

Dette familieejede hotel lå indhyllet i grønne planter og blomster og virkede som en slags oase i Alghero. Restauranten kan også varmt anbefales, hvor man virkelig mærkede passion og sjæl bag maden.

Mycket bra hotell med trevlig personal. Både middagen och frukostbuffén på hotellet håller riktigt hög klass. Personalen var väldigt hjälpsam med taxibokningar och vägbeskrivningar.

La Playa ligger snaue 100 meter fra Algheros beste strandområde med utleie av solsenger og et godt lunsj og middagssted, "Santa Cruz".
