Everybody very helpful. Four poster bed and wonderful decor. Breakfast outdoors in morning or could stay in lobby area. Overall wonderful experience.

This bed and breakfast is charming. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are all quaint and unique, and the garden is very pretty. The internet was free, too. My only complaint is that I felt the staff was unclear about whether parking was free or not. When I asked about it, from what I understood, parking at their lot would be free. However, I was charged $14 per night on my checkout bill. I would have been less disappointed if they clearly articulated that guests paid for parking up front. Read more

Allen, Renee and everyone at the Meeting Street Inn were wonderful. We had five rooms, and all were beautiful. The full breakfast and evening wine and cheese are just the icing on the cake!

Staff was very helpful, outside area could have been maintained better; things out guests should not see hose, broom,dishes. Room swept us back in time and the early check-in was extremely helpful. While there is no parking on sight, don't let that stop you from staying here. The hotel does not advertise that parking will be $15/day and the hotel fees add up. My total was close to $100 more than what was quoted on hotels.com. We have stayed at this hotel before, and we'll go back again. The staff is friendly and helpful, going beyond what they need to do. The rooms are beautifully decorated. One of the best parts of the experience is meeting other guests at breakfast and at the afternoon wine reception; we have made friends and had great conversations. This was my second stay at the Meeting Street Inn. It was a great place to gather with my sisters-in-law and our daughters. We loved the charm and ambience of the hotel. The staff was very accomodating and friendly. We were able to walk to restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend the Meeting Street Inn!

We had a wonderful weekend at Meeting Street Inn. The rooms were beautiful and looked just like the pictures from the website (which is always a plus for me!) The only problems we had were the beds were rock hard ( if you like a very firm bed then its perfect for you) and the parking situation. They do not have on site or even valet parking. We were […] told to drive up the road a couple blocks and we would find the parking lot. The only lot we found was behind the Inn, but when we checked out we realized it was not the right place. The hotel was going to charge us $14 a night to park in their lot, but the lot we ended up parking it was also going to charge us $14 a night. When we told the hotel we already paid where we parked they were very nice and took the parking fee off of our bill. Long story short, they need a better parking situation. If they're going to charge me to park so far away from the hotel it should at least be valet. Read more

Location was perfect, we were within walking distance to everything. The parking lot was a little inconvenient. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant! It rained one evening and they drove us to the restaurant so we would not have to walk in the rain. We will definately stay here again.

Great location...real flavor of Charleston....lovely courtyard..wine and cheese in afternoon...nice breakfast...only con is they lost their parking and you have to park 2 blocks away, however hotel staff will take you there in a golf cart.

My husband & I stayed here for a few days in Oct 2011. We loved the layout of the hotel, helpfulness & friendliness of staff, and the location. Our room had a colonial decor with high bed and a comfortable ambiance. The bath had plenty of room for cosmetics etc. The only negative we saw was that our room was dark even though there were plenty of lamps […] in the room - probably the bulbs. We really enjoyed our two night stay at The Meeting Street Inn. The location was central to everything that we wanted to see. We parked our car in a lot about two blocks from the Inn and we didn't get back in our car until we left. I really enjoyed the beverages that were always available in the main lobby. This hotel met our expectations and then some. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were charming and extremely comfortable. The location is in the heart of everything so walking to locations is very easy. They served wonderful breakfast and had a wine and cheese hour in the lobby every day. There was always cold water, sweet tea or pink […] lemonade waiting after a long day sight seeing. The courtyard was by far our favorite place. They have a fountain with Koi swimming in it. A bird feeder so there are always lovely little birds playing around and it is a certified wildlife habitat. There is a wonderful in ground spa that is perfectly hot for soaking after a long day of walking around. There are many tables and chairs spread through out and it was nice to talk with fellow travelers. The flowers are gorgeous and as a special touch, they have a table with cuttings and descriptions of each to educate about the different plants. I have stayed at various hotels downtown in the historic district that cost twice as much but done of them can touch The Meeting Street Inn! I wish I had discovered this Inn years ago. My best friend & I left our husbands at home & went to Charleston for several nights. Our room was perfect with 2 double beds (Rice planter's beds with lace canopyies - just lovely. The room had wood floors and high ceilings. Room was a little on the small side, but we loved the quaintness of it.. The vanity was at the back of the room so one of us […] could be showering while the other groomed. The location allowed us to walk to most everything we wanted to do. We loved the courtyard with fountain and spa. This small inn in the heart of Charleston was econonical and perfect for a "girlfriend" trip, however, we did meet a couple with two children who said they had been coming there for years. One downside is that you have to pay for parking, but the lot is directly across the street from the inn. Read more

This hotel is situated perfectly, and considering that the city's main sights are so close, the hotel allows for you to walk easily around town. The staff was pleasant and helpful, thanks to the concierge and the amusing woman who handles the coffee! There is breakfast in the lobby/courtyard everyday also. It was just what I was looking for.
