We had a great stay as usual. This is our second time here and the hotel staff is very accommodating and very friendly. The hotel has beautiful works of art throughout the building and in the the rooms. We love the design of the room in relation to the bathroom and are thinking of doing that to our own place. We think the prices are fair. The fridge bar was nicely stocked and reasonably priced as well. The location near the nightclub is not great, but if your a light sleeper ask for a room toward the back of hotel. The hotel is a quick walk to everything, which we love. The two breakfasts they offer were really great. One in particular is at a very nice restaurant that looks out over the ocean. It's a nice hotel. The bed is comfortable, the showers are nice - there are two shower heads in there so two people can shower together. There's a lot of closet space, two sinks, separate room for the toilet - overall very comfortable. They have free wifi, you just have to get the password from the front desk (and it's fast wifi). Breakfast included […] - just ask the front desk for the ticket/voucher for breakfast because it's at an outside restaurant. The breakfast buffet is decent, although the same exact menu every day. But there's always toast, fruit, cereal, plus all the mexican dishes, including a mexican french toast and mexican pancakes. The servers at the buffet are also very nice. We left 20 pesos as a tip for the buffet. It's not a lot, but doesn't seem like most people leave anything so it seemed our small tip was appreciated. The roof pool is very comfortable and relaxing place to hang out. The pool is only for cooling off - too small for any swimming. Hotel is on a street with several clubs, and the music is very very loud from 2am - 5am Thurs, Fri & Sat nights. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants quiet and peace. This hotel is in the heart of Playa del Carmen next to 2 popular nightclubs. PROS: --Location is in the heart of Playa, so you can walk to just […] about anywhere. --Loved the duel raindrop shower! --Wifi worked better than other hotels. --Very nice rooftop pool area with a view. CONS: --I had a room on the groundfloor and could not get quality of sleep, even with my earplugs on. There was constant noise of people walking by, talking, maids dragging their carts, music, etc. The room is not very well soundproofed, so you can hear EVERYTHING outside the room. Every morning I was awakened by noise, so I couldn't get quality sleep at all. Again, this is even with my earplugs on. --The sink was very poorly designed that every time I would turn it on, the water would splash everywhere. --There were several stains on my pillow. --The toilet doesn't flush very well, so sometimes I had to flush twice. --The rooftop pool area is nice, but there was NO service for food or drinks. I was up there several times but only saw a bartender up there once. --The check out was pretty idiotic. I knew when I booked this hotel that there was some night time noise from the bars outside but didn't realize just how loud it was going to be... the noise kept us up several nights until about 4am (hopp'n night club across the street and the sound comes straight into the open air building design). There were problems with car service reserved through hotel at both arrival and departure and employees couldn't have cared less, someone was shoveling rocks outside our door at 3AM as part of a landscaping ordeal on the only night the club wasn't rocking, the bellman was too lazy to open the door for me most days, I had to keep asking for wash clothes as they were not replaced in our room during cleanings, and the towels we were given were dirty, stringy/falling apart, and worthy of being thrown away. If you book with Hotels.com/Expedia they will put you in the front half of the hotel, which has 2 bars like Coco Bongo blaring music until 4 or 5am!! Avoid at all costs please! I stayed for 7 days and enjoyed every bit of it! The thermostats for the room are remote so I had a few problems with my air getting turned off by neighbors close by or the hotels main control through out the first couple of days, but other than that everything was amazing! My husband and I moved to this hotel after having a bad experience in another. We were a little skeptical at first thinking for the price we shouldn't expect too much, but we were pleasantly surprised, Our room was on the third floor and had a great view of the ocean. The hotel is really nice with bright, stylish and tastefully decorated rooms, The […] bathroom which I loved, is separated from the room by a large wall open on both ends. An exposed, glassed in shower has two shower heads, double sinks and a closeted private toilet. They provide bath robes,toiletries,and an iron, but I didn't see a hairdryer. There's a safe and wet bar. You get two complimentary bottles of water and two drink tickets for the upstairs pool bar. We saw the pool bar during the day which seemed to be a bit of a makefshift set up, but didn't affect our stay as we never made it up there to use our tickets.The hotel has two pools and is decorated in local art. Located across from a big nite club, but we had requested a room away from the noise and found it didn't disturb us at all (room 306). The only complaint which didn't really bother me was we were told the elevator didn't work, but that someone would carry our bags up. We didn't have the heart to put our doorman through that so we it did ourselves. I think the recession was affecting there electric bill so they were cutting back on things like running their fountains and elevators. We discovered the elevator was working when we left so we could get our bags down easily. The hotel is centrally located to all the night clubs if that's your thing and some nice restaraunts. The beach is just a moments walk away. We go to Playa Del Carmen often and have already decided we will stay here on our next trip. Read more

They provided us with a free breakfast coupon that was from a restaurant around the corner. The food was fabulous and it was a full hot buffet with fresh fruits and cereals as well. The concierge was extremely helpful in getting us transportation from the airport to the hotel. She was quick to respond by email and when our flight was delayed, she politely changed our pickup time and confirmed everything with us. The transportation was $70 one way for 2-4 of us from the airport to the hotel. This was around a 45 min. drive. We would definitely go back and stay with In Fashion Boutique again. I loved the contemporary urban decor. I felt rich living there for a night and wished it was my condo (though I'd love a kitchen and dining room). The rooftop pool and lounge was very nice. The pool within the "courtyard" was somewhat lacking because it rarely, if ever, received sun. It was nice to look at, though. Spa services were good though overpriced relative to the rest of Playa if you don't get the spa credit. You have to schedule your appointment. There are a few negative things to note. This is on the main drag of streets with many bars and clubs. The noise for me was tolerable, but I live in the city anyways. To somebody accustomed to quiet country nights - this may not be the place for you. I woke up once in the night to a drunken "Wooohohohohooo!" call out on the street but that was about it. I would not recommend the master suite for traveling friends unless you're not bashful or don't mind leaving the room when the other showers. The shower and tub are visible to the entire room. The toilet is intelligently privately enclosed, though. Secondly, there were some minor things missing from the room. For one - no soap tray on the sink counter. Where am I to put this bar of soap? Secondly, there is only one tiny halogen light over the sink - so getting ready in the morning or for bed is a bit difficult. Staying in this hotel is like trying to sleep in the middle of a disco. The noise from Coco Bongo next door is a constant "boom boom" till 5:30 in the morning. It is unbelievable in it's intensity. We opened the door to find a dead roach on floor. The shower took for ever to get warm, at least 20 minutes There were no towels in the room, and it took for ever to get some. The staff was ok. Other than the location there is little I'd reccomend about this hotel - and given you can walk almost anywhere in Playa within 5 mins, its hardly a factor i'd look at to choose a hotel here. Looks very sleek from the outside and in pics, but as soon as you start using hotel amenities you realise it was finished hastily and was poorly planned. We were […] given a room on level 1, next to the pool which had clearly suffered a leak that had been badly fixed - if at all (whiter paint was clearly visible on half the ceiling). The room was still so humid and mouldy that a gorgonzola factory smells better. Not sure if the humidity was due to the leak, proximity to the pool or because of the structure of the hotel (no external windows and sun never shines on this level) or all of the above - in any case it was not acceptable. Were moved to a room on level 3 after some insistance and the room was only slightly better. No mould there but here the sun shined straight on, and room was like 30 degrees, AC worked VERY slowly, had to be on 24/7 to keep room at a decent temp. Look out of the window (yes we had an outward facing one yey!) and the entire building's AC units were dumped on the roof - how pretty. Called for room service (had a menu of a partner restaurant in the room) but thy had no clue what I was on about. You hear coco bongo's music all night (ok you don't go to playa to sleep in but when I decide party is over it like it to be that way). Breakfast was terrible. Read more

Great Hotel. Terrible location, unless you like the 5'th ave. The rooms and staff were top notch and we would recommend this to somebody looking for a non Mexican hotel in Mexico. The only soft bed we've ever had in MX. Coco Bongo is very loud at night but the bathroom fan will drown out most of the noise. We enjoyed our stay.
