"convenient enough and good value"
This seems like a good value. The room was quite small but normal for a japanese hotel. It included a small fridge and hot plate so it's possible to eat some meals there. The location is about a 10 minute walk from Kuramae station which is not a major station but you can get anywhere with transfers. Kuramae is really two stations, one on the Oedo line […] and one on the Toei Asakusa line. The stations are near to each other but not connected under ground that I could tell. I took a Narita Skyaccess Train which became a Toei Asakusa line train at Oshiage so I didn't need to change trains to get to Kuramae. That was convenient and cheap at 1250 yen. Study google maps and you can probably see the two stations and figure out what you need to do to find the hotel from the station, I did. The hotel is close enough to walk to Sensoji temple in Asakusa, the Tokyo-Edo museum, and probably the Tokyo sky tree (I didn't go but it looked close). Not too many restaurants close by but 15 minutes walk will get you to several. There is no maid service during the stay but you can get fresh towels if you ask. There is a coin laundry in the basement which is nice. All in all I recommend it and would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel at a reasonable price in a quiet neighbourhood."

The hotel is very close to the Kuramae Station, which is a very big factor for me in choosing this place. It is also very close to Sensoji Temple and the shopping district, I easily walked there every night. The room I stayed in is very nice and clean and the internet is very fast.

15 mins walk from asakusa station- our favourite part of Tokyo, rooms were cleann ensuite and kitchennette as well, all you could ask for and more for 3000 yen each a night can't go wrong! Small room but luggage can be put under the bed and there is a small balcony loved our stay here. Can ask for new sheets and towels downstairs staff were very friendly and helpful. Can go directly to closeby station kuramae from haneda airport. If you are used to small rooms in big cities you will know this place is great value!
"Great hotel, small and comfortable rooms, very clean, friendly staff"

This place is great value for money. The rooms are about the size of university dorm rooms, but for $55 US per night, I can't complain. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff are really friendly. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the Kuramae subway station, and from there all of Tokyo's main attractions are no longer than 10 to 30 minutes away by the subway/rail system. Even the local Asakusa neighbourhood is about a 10 minute walk from Kuramae station. The neighbourhood surrounding the hotel is just far enough away from the tourist attractions that I felt like I was the only tourist in that neighbourhood. It was neat to go to the local grocery store and feel as if I live in Japan. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I should also mention that there are is a laundry room in the basement with coin operated machines and coin operated vending machines that sell laundry soap and softener. Also, the hotel does not offer room service, which is ok with me, but they will provide clean linens if you would like your linens washed.
"Very reasonable for the price"

I basically chose one of the cheapest rooms available in the area and it was better than I expected. While the room was quite small, it had all amenities you could possibly need, very clean and comfy in general. August heat didn't bother me - nice conditioning, tight windows. All in all, I was quite happy with it and would get back there again in case of a short stay.
"My trip in Tokyo and stay here for 9 days on October 2013"
It's very good for overall, clean, no smell, good price, near subway station, near 7-11, near Tokyo Tower, near Asakusa Temple. But still there are some bad things, for example: FREE WIFI But so weak signal, must use LAN Cable instead, No additional service supports, Cannot borrow Plug Adapter, you have to purchase from counter at ground floor and price is so expensive around 8 times when compare with purchasing at Akihabara, so if you come to Tokyo please prepare your plug adapter also because you cannot borrow from Hotel service staffs but they will sell you.

It was a bit of walk from Subway Kuramae Station, but it is still conveniently located between Narita NRT and Haneda HND Airport, so if you have few days to stay in Tokyo and flying to somewhere using both airport, it is good to stay here. There are also a supermarket near-by and could walk to Asakusa (about 1km / 15min on foot), also good access to Shinjuku, Yokohama, Skytree by Subway. Reception is located on 2nd floor, so you have to use steps to go up, but there is a back door on 1st floor, so if you are travelling with others, you might want to go up first then ask them to open the back door.

I just spent 5 nights at Mystays Asakusa. The room is quite small but there is everything you need in it (TV, fridge, microwave, stove etc...). the staff is very kind and helpful even though some of them can not really speak English (but I can not speak Japanese either, so we are even). The location is great too as it not far from other sightseeing spots (Asakusa, SkyTree, Ryogoku, Akihabara...) and it is quiet area. There are restaurants, convenient stores and a supermarket nearby, the staff will give you a map of the neighbourhood upon your arrival, it is really useful. The only problem in my opinion is the access from the subway to the hotel: if you have heavy luggage, that may be a huge huge problem as there is no elevator in most of the exits of the subway. There is only one elevator at exit n°5 on the Toei Subway Oedo Line. If you come by other subway lines or take the wrong exit, you will have to carry your heavy luggage and climb long sets of stairs to the exit. It happened to me and I was dead tired before arriving to the hotel. However, I'll still recommand this hotel as I really envoyed staying there.
"I love Tokyo in Asakusa"

I enjoyed a package "great view of Tokyo Skytree"; nice price, modern style like Ikea, clean and comfortable room with kitchen, private bathroom, tv, microwave, wifi ok, air conditioner, window shutter, nice shampoo and soap, calm ambient, helpful staff. Many services: laundry, printer, rent a bicycle, keeping your luggage, available pay by visa, small library about Tokyo information, available shippings for example a SIM card. Good access by subway < 5 min. Surrounding area: great coffee shop_SUNSHINE STATE ESPRESSO _awesome coffee and nice cakes, friendly staff, good music and they speak english / restaurant 24h(Kaminarimon) / seven eleven 24h with ATM service(Edo Dori) / post-office... I really recommend you this area because it´s fantastic!! Have a nice trip!!
"Fine but there may be better alternatives"

The chain is fine, but you may be better to find a better location. Reception was very helpful. The room was tiny but (just) functional. We were stuck for options in Tokyo, but this was not a bad place to stay.

Three of us stayed here for four nights and the selection was made based on Trip Advisor recommendations, so "Thank You!" We booked it online, no payment until arrival, no problem. We were greeted by Yuka who spoke English which was a nice bonus. Based on a previous post, I took the steps up to the entrance and Yuka kindly showed us the back way to the elevator. She gave us a few tips on places to eat (it was a 9 pm arrival) and we went to our room. The room is small, we knew it would be but it was very clean and came with a microwave and fridge. No stove though, and we noted some reviews talked about stoves so if you want one, ask. There is also no housekeeping but towels are refreshed upon request. Our room had a beautiful view of the Tokyo Skytree Tower. The location is convenient. We daytripped to Tokyo Skytree, the Asakusa Shrine area, Sumida River boat tour all within walking distance although we took cabs. Highly recommend this hotel for the value.
