"convenient enough and good value"
This seems like a good value. The room was quite small but normal for a japanese hotel. It included a small fridge and hot plate so it's possible to eat some meals there. The location is about a 10 minute walk from Kuramae station which is not a major station but you can get anywhere with transfers. Kuramae is really two stations, one on the Oedo line […] and one on the Toei Asakusa line. The stations are near to each other but not connected under ground that I could tell. I took a Narita Skyaccess Train which became a Toei Asakusa line train at Oshiage so I didn't need to change trains to get to Kuramae. That was convenient and cheap at 1250 yen. Study google maps and you can probably see the two stations and figure out what you need to do to find the hotel from the station, I did. The hotel is close enough to walk to Sensoji temple in Asakusa, the Tokyo-Edo museum, and probably the Tokyo sky tree (I didn't go but it looked close). Not too many restaurants close by but 15 minutes walk will get you to several. There is no maid service during the stay but you can get fresh towels if you ask. There is a coin laundry in the basement which is nice. All in all I recommend it and would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was clean and comfy, the staff were friendly and helpful but the best thing was the location. The location was excellent. Loads of things were within walking distance and we had a view of the sky tree from our windows.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"location not really good and rooms too small"
I thought I could get a 2-bed room initially but they did not provide to me at last. i only got this information when i arrived. A bit disappointed at this issue, but their service is good overall. The room is too small to live comfortably to be honest, unless you are the only one living in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Genuine Hotels.com guest review
離雷門有一小段距離，因為逛了一整天所以後來借了飯店的腳踏車（300日圓）到處晃晃感覺也不錯，買了便利商店食物回來還可以微波，挺方便的Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the surrounding is a bit quiet . 5~6 mins walking distance between the nearest metro exit and the hotel. only convenience stores around but no supermarket.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This is a tipical western hotel: good bed, desk, LCD television and an ok bathroom (with a small bathtub). There is no cleaning service, so prepair to pay for it, including new towels and bed sheet. The great advantage of this hotel is the location: near the metro and, mainly, near Asakuza and all its "must see" spots. There are bicycles to rent, and I would recomend that strongly.

I stayed here with my friend for a week this summer. The aircon was powerful and the rooms were very clean. Free wifi was difficult to access in all areas of the room. In order for it to work we had to sit by the door. The front desk will give new sheets and towels for free, but I think there might be a small fee (100 yen or something) if you are staying for a shorter time period. They gave us a helpful map with some information when we first arrived, and it was pretty easy to find...Just past the bridge on the left hand side from exit 7. If you need to come out of a different exit there are tons of neighborhood maps to help you find A7. Besides the internet issues, we were very happy to stay here.

We stayed here our last 4 nights in Japan. I personally think this hotel is a bit boring, but got all you need. There's private bath, tv, WiFi and it's near to kuramae and asakusa stations for example. There's also laundry room. Bed is really too small for two adults and a toddler :D well, that's my choice. Staff is very nice and proper. Guest should clean the room by himself, that was weird to me. Downstairs is a new Indian restaurant, witch is nice if you came by late night or have to hurry somewhere.

If your staying in asakusa, and want to get out of the tokyo madness, this is a quiet relaxeing suburb, just around the corner or 15 min easy walk to the real hub of asakusa shopping and temple areas, fantastic , peaceful. and great for the kids..

I stayed with my two sisters at here last week in a triple room suite and we really had a pleasant time and enjoyed the stay very much. Although we did get a little lost finding the place at first,we managed to find the place with the help of a local policeman:) We discovered the next day that the location of the hotel was very convenient as it was near the kuramae station and there were many great interesting shops located in the vicinity of the station, lovely area where you can see local people. We would like to extend our compliments to the excellent staff who greeted us on the night of june 20th as we had arrived there very late, close to 1am but he was very very helpful and thorough, number one service! Overall, the room was very clean and had all the basic amenities, TV(high quality world cup telecasts!) and a good view of the surrounding area and the Skytree from the outside balcony(a delight at night) The fridge, microwave and kitchenette, was a godsend as we had to do our own cooking. We also manage to enjoy a splendid meal on our second day at the newly opened doli restaurant conveniently located at the basement of the hotel. Even though we did our own laundry and had to clear our garbages ourselves, we couldn't complain as this was expected for the price we paid. The rest of the staffs that we met for the rest of our days there were great and nice. This was our first trip to Tokyo and staying here was probably one of the best reasons that made the trip truly memorable. arigato mystays asakusa:)

We stayed in this hotel two times at the beginning of June and we loved it! The room we had, offered an excellent view to Tokyo Skytree, ask for it if you have the chance. Rooms are not huge but big enough for two persons. Semidouble bed is ok if you are not very tall. In the room you will find a desk, a medium sized bed, regular japanese bathroom, kettle, microwave, and some cooking tools, but food is so cheap in Tokyo cooking won't be a thing to worry about. Location is fine, metro stop Kuramae is 3 min walking distance away and Oedo line connects you with the main spots in Tokyo. Staff was very kind and solved all our requests with professionalism and good attitude. They also kept our luggage for a week during our visit to the rest of Japan! Only bad point is no cleaning service included and some small rubbish we found from previous guests. Overall, the quality-price relation is excellent! If we visit Tokyo again, we'll come again!

Good budget hotel... wasn't quite prepared for the spaces in Japan (or lack thereof) but in the room there was everything needed. Bathroom and "kitchen corner" could do with a refurbishment but apart from that, all good. Only thing that annoyed me was the aircon directly on top of the bed, not ideal as the cold air was straight on the bed and myself when I was in it. Tried different angles of the cold air flow but same results. Nothing major, but was not ideal for me. Also, be prepared to have issues if you are 180cm tall like myself, spaces just aren't there for people generally taller than avg japanese guys :)

This hotel is within easy reach to the Asakusa station and many attractions. The room is clean. I was given an upgrade and was pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff is helpful. On the 1st day, when I enquired about a hotel in Shinjuku, the staff was kind enough to make a call on my behalf. However, on the 2nd day, when I asked about making a local call to my hotel in Nikko, I was asked to purchased an international call card!
We were very happy with our stay. The location was good, the rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices are really good for Toyko. I would stay here again. The only down side was the area didn't have very many options for food, but all you have to do is walk about 10 mins or hop on the metro.

This is the fourth time I've stayed at this hotel in the last few years. It suits my needs very well. I can walk to Ueno Park, Akihabra, and along the Sumida river to the Sumo stadium and Tokyo-Edo museum. There are temples nearby and other features other reviewers have mentioned. This hotel can lend you a bicycle for only a few dollars a day. I had a view to the Sky Tower from my room. Lots of good value places to dine nearby and the Indian restaurant is very good. If you are not used to Japanese hotels the room will seem small at first but the bed is comfortable and big enough. The AC worked well and the bathroom was fine. The hotel and rooms are always spotless, the staff always very friendly and quite reasonable pricing. I am next in Tokyo in September and I think I will be staying here again.
