The Cedar Grand - Hotel & Spa - Shimla

I discovered on arrival that this hotel had just changed hands and it wasn't the quality I expected, and I felt consequently it was overpriced. It is below The Mall and The Ridge - about a fifteen minute walk uphill, however the location was OK. The views from our window were of the hills and the town. It's on the other side of the Ridge from the Himalaya […] views. The problem was hot water was only available from 7.30 in the evening till 10.30 I think and food was also not available till 7.30 - no all day room service. This was a bit of a problem with a tired, hungry 9 year old. However the staff were friendly and helpful and rustled up some hot chips (french fries). I would recommend this hotel if the prices drop and if your expectations aren't too high. It was clean and comfortable. Read more

We travelled for our honeymoon to Shimla & Manali. Hotel Leela is awesome in Shimla. It has fabulous window view and really tasty food with comfort of all modern amenities.
