"center of the city"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel was very nice. Very close to Piccadilly station. all kinds of shopping and great areas to see. I had a great time just roaming the city. The only bad experience I had was that one evening at 3 in the morning the next room decided to have a gab fest for an hour. other than that I was very happy with my stay.....
"Great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Room was very clean and comfortable. The location was great as we took the nearby Oxford Rd train station often. The breakfast was excellent.
"Very spacious"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The hotel/Aparthotel was huge. I was disappointed about being on the ground floor, but other than that it was very good. I would have appreciated the presence of UHT milk with the sachets of coffee. The kitchen was fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, kettle and fridge - could have happily fit four people in the room - which at the rate I paid a night would have been well cheap! The bathrooms were clean, plenty of towels and, importantly free wifi - although one does have to sign up to a website. One passcode per device, but relatively fast.
"Clean and efficent"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Stayed here the night before flying out of Manchester airport. The hotel is very convenient to the airport being within an 8 minute drive. The beds were comfortable, the room clean the tv worked all was good. We ate at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and were pleasantly surprised at the level of quality and presentation. Dinner was reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The breakfast buffet well stocked and the waitstaff very attentive.

"Forest hills Hotel - falling short of potential"
We chose the Forest Hill for its location; close to a birthday party. It was our first experience of the hotel. Set amongst rolling countryside and in a sought after part of Cheshire lack of investment means it falls considerably short of it's potential. We stayed for its convenience. With some upgrade it could instead be an attractive destination. Our […] bedroom was clearly also used as a syndicate room; hence a pull down bed and rails on the wall to mount whiteboards . It was very spacious but unwelcoming. It appeared that nothing significant had been done to update it since the hotel opened. The mattress was old and soggy. The bathroom suite was coral pink [ a throwback to the 80's] and the shower clearly hadn't worked for ages.A change to the room kettle meant there was a useless wire hanging out of the wall with a fitting that didn't match the apparatus , yet no working socket near to the kettle. The flat sreen TV was of the smallest possble size - so not appropriate to the size of the room. With a beautiful setting in Cheshire countryside , adjacent to a golf club, and with extensive grounds that house a full health centre it should be an attractive holiday/ weekend-break hotel. With ambition and investment it could be extremely appealing. Instead it seems that the staff do a good job of maintaining a declining asset. They are friendly and welcoming but the service mentality matches the 3 star standard of the property. In good hands this could be a gem. Read more
