Traveling on business, I went midweek, off-season, and the place was totally understaffed, even for the few guests staying there. There is an exorbitant fee for wi-fi use, free parking is located at the base of a hill where the hotel is only accessible via a gondola. Valet parking at the hotel level is $25.00/day, and this was off-season, when there […] were few guests at the hotel. The food was high quality but way over-priced, and the restaurant staff were clearly just going through the motions. No free coffee in the lobby in the mornings for fast getaway. The hotel layout is extremely confusing: the level where guests arrive via gondola is a floor higher than the lobby and check in, and the elevator to the lobby level is not the same elevator that services the wing of the hotel that has guest rooms. The athletic club and pool are fantastic, and the surrounding scenery beautiful. As a ski destination, this place is probably great, but if you are looking for convenience and value for the money, this is not a good deal. Read more

I thought I'd booked a room with a balcony but didn't get that. Hotel staff accommodated me by offering an upgrade to a suite for a very reasonable upgrade fee. This made the weekend very special. We look forward to our next stay at the awesome St Regis!

We went to Park City for the first time to celebrate my 40th bday. Chose St. Regis because of it's reputation and location. We initially had a problem with our room not being ready and had to wait 3 hours to get ito our room but the General Manager generously comped us for our trouble. The rest of the trip was fabulous. The hotel itself has top notch […] service from the pool to the restaurant to the concierge. The hotel is only 2 years old so everything is brand new, pristine and definitely looks like the five star hotel it is. The location in Deer Valley and to everything in Park City can't be beat. The shuttle service to downtown was incredibly convenient and I can't imagine how much more so in the wintertime. The food through room service could be better but we enjoyed dinner in their dining room, J&G Grill. Park City is now one of our favorites and we can't wait to return for a longer trip - either summer or winter. So many activities to enjoy in both climates. We had a lovely stay at the St. Regis in Deer Valley Ski area near Park City, Utah. Beautiful, hot weather in the summer with a heated endless pool, hot tubs, and very comfortable rooms. I enjoyed the fitness center overlooking the mountains, and the yoga room was a plus. Our hotel room was really lovely. Very high class stay.

I knew I was in over my head when I couldn't find the ice machine. I guess some people like being doted on, I don't. I don't understand how having to call someone for ice and wait 15 minutes for it to show up and be hand placed in your ice bucket a convenience. Just the trip up the mountain begins the adventure which the St. Regis has concocted for the guests, and as we went back down after 24 magical hours, it was with GREAT reluctance to leave this magnificent property!' In […] every category, from Ben at the front desk, who told us about how much they enjoy YOUR pets when they come to stay, to Kara at the Grill, and all of the others whose professionalism, charisma and understanding of guests is just amazing. The ultra limited menu was perfectly cooked and beyond five star!! A Smoked Trout Hash for breakfast, magnificent slow cooked salmon, and the most exquisite filet mignon were some of the delights the chef brought fourth. Stunning desserts, and the view from the fireplace to the landscape filling the windows ensures a calm and serene experience. One note from a former chef and winery owner: the wine list was very extensive, so overtly overpriced as to be in the absurd category; and this was the only disheartening element of our stay. We both are Napa and International wine aficionados and were just in awe of the overpricing on the list.. One of the greats in the wine world told me at a wine tasting at another world class resort that any wine list worth its salt was one third of the bottles MUST cost less than 50.00 so that people would be thrilled to try new vintners!!! Fantastic hotel! We were up there for our 6 year anniversary and loved every second of it. They had a butler bring up Chocolate dipped Strawberrys and we really felt like we were given red carpet treatment. The spa was fabulous as well as the ski in, ski out valet service (5 stars on these two areas). Although, one day it was really windy and they closed the Gondola so we could not ski out from the hotel. We had to walk through the hotel and ride the Finucular to the bottom where we waited for a shuttle to take us to the mountain. After 10 miutes of waiting, […] we walked over to the mountain and carried our own skis and poles. So much for 1st class service there. It would have been nice to have a small clothing boutique within the spa versus the 2 hanging racks of clothes that are in a very poor lighted area. The J&G Grill restaurant had excellent food but our dinner service couldn't have been worse. When we arrived, the hostess informed us that they were setting up our table (instead of saying, your table isn't ready yet) and asked us to go have a seat in the bar. The bar was extremely overcrowded with no place to sit or stand much less order a drink. They should have cocktail waitresses to accommodate the guest overflow along with seating outside the restaurant (they have plenty of room for it). We ordered 2 very expensive bottles of wine and our waiter didn't even offer to decant them. There was no formal introduction from him or a welcome to J&G Grill. We had to ask him if they had any specials as he didn't present this information to us and he said there were no specials (on a Friday evening). He was constantly walking off as he was talking so we couldn't understand him. He was very arrogant and we never received a thank you for dining. For a hotel that sits mountainside and caters to non-hotel guests, there is only one bar and one restaurant. There is a nice cozy library off of the main lobby and a few other places throughout the hotel that could sure use some wall mounted TV's and a bar serving cocktails and snacks. The best service of the many hotels I've visited in Park City. The St. Regis has a unique location that is beautiful and secluded, but not too removed from downtown Park City. The basic room (superior) is smaller, but refined and well designed; only the suites have kitchenettes.
