We enjoyed the hotel very much, it was fairly new, clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had to drive to dinner because there was nothing really close - my only complaint.

Very clean, and still new. Great continental breakfast! Nice indoor pool. Clean, modern rooms. Beds a little hard, but comfy linens. Friendly staff. Close to main street. Fridge and microwave in room, with grocery store right next door. Overall, a really good experience.

Would have been a great stay, except the walls are paper thin and there was a 1/4" gap between the door and door casing of my room. At 10:30 at night, two men had a 15 minute conversation in the hall outside my room which I could hear word for word. The following morning, the guest in the room next to mine woke me when he started making phone calls […] at 5:15AM. That was earlier than I had planned to get up. He was still on the phone when I checked out, and I could hear most of what he was saying the entire time. I might stay here again, but I would certainly bring earplugs. Also, instead of a combo shampoo/hair conditioner and a bottle of lotion, I think most guests would prefer a shampoo, and a hair conditioner. I certainly would. Read more

Ely NV is a small town so there is not much selection. We stayed at another inn previously that was run down. The La Quinta is new and very nice to stay in if you stay in Ely. Not sure why they have so little parking... may be under construction. Had to park in the Ridleys Market parking lot. People very friendly. This clean, newer hotel was a great honeymoon getaway for us. The top floor had terrific views. The location was fine; Ely is easy to get around. You could walk to one casino, and the Ridley's next door is very close for room-snacks. Also, speaking of food, the morning continental breakfast was very good.

Evidently, this particularLa Quinta recently installed fragrance emitting stations in their corridors. For me that is a major concern as I am allergic to fragrance. I fail to understand, in today's society, why any hotel would add such a controversial item when there are so many people nationwide who are sensitive. The hotel offered to ozonate the room […] for us but that, in itself, requires airing out after the fact. I had, in fact, pre-requested that my room be cleaned with unscented products. Love this place. We were moving and stayed there with our 2 kids, 2 cats and 2 dogs. We had 2 vehicles-one was a large u-haul with trailer. They we so accomidating and friendly. Breakfast was great! Woman stocking food was clean and pleasant. Very impressed with this place!

Hotel is clean, smoke free and newer. The beds are are on the firm side if thats what you like, hair dryer was not that good (bring your own if need one). The only bummer about my stay at the La Quinta was that the room air conditioner was left on at 59 degrees. so it was really sucky going into a cold room from a cold outside, but i think that was just an accident. very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. it also warmed up really fast after we turned the heater on.

Well worth the stay. Every staff member was helpful and available. The grocery store next door was great, because you can buy your dinner and eat it in the hotel dining room. If you want to eat other places, there are a few places to eat within walking distance.

We arrived to Ely NV on Saturday of Memorial weekend, it was pouring rain, next morning we had almost a foot of snow on the ground. Yikes! Needless to say that our plans to be outdoors (Great Basin National Park is only 45 minutes from the hotel) were crushed. But thanks to the nice pool and spa in the hotel we were able to still have a good time. We […] were impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the room and bathroom, we had WiFi in the room so my kids were able to play online (yes, we let them bring a computer and an XBOX). The personnel were friendly and helpful. They had cookies and milk in the lobby in the evening... my kids were really happy about that. Breakfast was included and it was good. The breakfast area is beautiful, very spacious, luminous and nicely decorated in a european style. I was pleased that the hotel did not have a casino, so it is perfect for families with children. Great job La Quinta Inn! Nice hotel, affordable rates. The town is a semi-ghost mining town and you can notice it is going downhill. The casinos my husband and I visited were very old and smoky. This was one of 8 places we stayed on a three week trip through the western U.S. this past month and it was by far the nicest place we stayed. We were so excited to roll in here after a long drive across the Loneliest Road in America. The rooms were top-notch and gorgeous, the breakfast buffet was wonderful with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, […] muffins, juice, coffee with good creamer, etc. The lady working the buffet kept it stocked the entire morning and kept it spotlessly clean.
