Great location and very friendly staff. Good place to stay and easy to walk to the old town or the beach (15-20mins). Staff were friendly and very helpful. Wi-fi available in the lobby only (additional charge to access in your room).

"Elendig hotell, styr unna!!"

Definitivt 4 stjärnigt hotell i Albufeira.

"Definitely not up to 4 star standard."
07/20/15 malcolmg510 Llandudno, United Kingdom
Food very poor. Rooms worn and dated. Pool area dirty. Plenty of sun beds but very few tables and chairs. Could not sit outside round pool area after 11 o clock as the doors to go inside were locked. Restaurant and entertainment in same room plus you had to go to restaurant bar for drinks @ night. Do not be fooled by glamorous reception, rest of hotel is not the same.

"Not a 4 Star"
07/20/15 bev_elliott Middlesbrough, United Kingdom
Just returned from a 1 week stay at this hotel. After reading the reviews before we went we were a bit unsure about going but was advised by the travel agent to go with an open mind. Had emailed in advance to ask if we would be able to check into our room before 4pm as we were arriving on the morning. The hotel said they would see what they could do and we did actually get into our room by 2pm, which wasn't too bad. Most of the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The apartment itself was large and spacious. The cleaners came in each day to empty the bin and make the bed but not much cleaning took place. The towels were changed every couple of days. The hotel is not in a very good location, had to get a taxi to the Old Town each night as it was more than a 10 mins walk to the town and the beach. The food was ok with quite a good choice but was a bit repetitive. The restaurant was a bit like a canteen with guests passing through on a morning to go to the pool. One plus point about the evening meal was that you didn't have to pay for your drinks, which was a first for us. I must admit that our stay was better than anticipated but wouldn't stay here again.

"Just returned from family holiday at Luna Miramar"
07/16/15 Mareee22 Cavan, Ireland
Nice hotel usual European 4* standard however the lack of sun loungers was very annoying. Had to get up at 7.30 each morning to put towels on the sunbeds - even at that every now and again the staff would remove the towels to facilitate other customers. Case of robbing Peter to pay Paul. By 9.30 most morning (if you hadn't got up at 7.30) you would have to head to the beach to get a sun lounger - Cant imagine what it like in August. The minimum you expect on a sun holiday is the provision of sun lounger. Otherwise staff were very helpful - rooms were basic but clean with Cleaning Ladies around every day. Hotel is well located - 10 mins from Oldtown which suits anyone over 30 especially if travelling with children - would not recommend to young people looking for lively spots (new town more suitable). Food in restaurant seems basis however this didn't cause me any concern as prefer to try out different restaurants every night. Supermarket just across the road from hotel front door. This was welcomed as saved carrying shopping in the heat. Overall hotel is well located - main issue for me was with the lack of sun loungers.

"Not a true all inclusive needs to decide what it wants to be!!"
07/16/15 John L Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Well like a lot of people I'd read some reviews on here and was very worried taking my 11 year old daughter to a hotel with recent reviews of nightmare stag and hen parties, maybe we were lucky and never experienced anything like that apart from one small group of older middle aged women getting a wee bit loud and sadly had an inflatable blow up doll at the poolside...women there was kids there...grow up.... but they weren't too bad and the manager was standing there watching them so it came to nothing. Reception staff could be a bit friendlier if i'm being honest, but when it came to reporting a couple of repairs the maintenance staff were very quick and efficient. The food in the restaurant did become a bit repetitive and needs some theme nights maybe, but what was there was beautifully cooked by all the chefs so we couldn't really complain. The waiters are far too quick in taking your plates away this is true but the restaurant and the hotel in general was very clean. The entertainment is non existant for adults so don't expect anything, though the children's entertainers do a fantastic job. The pool side snacks are very limited and this really should be looked at by the management. Your not encouraged to sit outside after your meal in my opinion as there is no where enough seats at the already limited tables and there is no music even to create an atmosphere with the outside bar closed to boot. Lack of sun beds is a problem and beware of the staff taking your towel away if you leave your sunbeds around about breakfast time i.e 7.30 to 10.00 am as they are very quick in pulling the towels off and putting them in a pile if anyone complains they cant get a sunbed and yours is vacant for a short period. I think this hotel which is pleasant enough, but does really need to decide and I notice I am not the only one to say this whether it is going to be a family hotel It also needs to be realistic if its calling itself an all inclusive because if you've had this done properly in previous holidays you may just be very disapointed. Overall don't panic if you've booked this hotel you'll have a decent enough time!

"Fails to meet the 4 Star Rating"
07/12/15 Brian3460 Perth Scotland
We have just returned after spending 2 weeks at this supposed 4 star hotel, to me it struggles to meet 3 stars at times. Like others have said the food is repetitive and lacks selection it resembles a works canteen, no waiter service for drinks, salt and pepper in sachets held next to the vending machines, waiters would lift you plate even when you weren't finished they should at least have proper table cloths and napkins for the evening meal. The bar staff are the worst I have ever seen, normal bar staff would clear tables in between serving not here the tables rarely got wiped down. The pool area was never washed/hosed down in the 2 weeks we were there it is filthy and they should be ashamed. If you want a sunbed in a certain location be prepared to be up at 6.30 and you need to use the fire escape to get there as you are locked in. The rooms are spacious and well equiped but that is the best I can say about the hotel. Bruno Gaspar a spokes person stated on Trip Advisor in mid June that the stag and hen parties had come to an end, this was clearly not the case. We were not bothered by any of them but we did hear reports of shouting and swearing at 4 am as well as the pool being used, clearly Bruno doesn't have a clue to what is really happening. Just to finish bingo and parrot shows are not suitable entertainment, they need to stop selling All Inclusive as it is daylight robbery from guests who need to spend money going out to get decent drink (in glasses) and entertainment. This experience has put me off going back to the Algarve and I would rather spend my money going to where staff know the meaning of good Customer Service and I can come back from my holidays having had a good time.

"Previous reviews worried me b4 travelling with young family but hotel is clean n spacious "
07/11/15 shellygoose16
Reading other reviews about d stag n hen dos scared d bejesus outta me before leaving as we was travelling wit my young family (11 & 2 yr olds), but i have to say we didnt encounter any of that during our 1 wk stay. We went self catering so cannot comment on d food, but d sandwiches we ordered from d pool bar were lovely. The room itself (410) was cleaned everyday n was v spacious. It had a larger balcony overlooking d pool. Plenty of wardrobe storage. The kitchen was v well equipped n d beds were comfy. The only thing i could offer complaint about was d outside light for d balcony didn't wrk but that didnt bother us. I agree with other reviewers re d entertainment, it was lacking. But d entertainment team are a lovely bunch who interacted wonderfully wit d kids. There is a large shopping centre nxt to the hotel, massive supermarket which was great for self catering. There is a road train, which does a full loop of albueferia, 4 stops in total. Runs every 20mins n stops just left of d shopping centre. We found this great to get bk from Old Town, especially with d buggy n the hills n the uneven cobble stones...plus our 2yr old loved it! We enjoyed our stay, dont let d bad reviews put u off!

"Average hotel with good points and bad points"

Just got back from a two week family holiday at this hotel , with my wife and our two kids , the hotel is in a good location and access to the old town , the beach and the new town is very easy to access , about ten minutes in a taxi for around €5 . the room we had was 422 and it was fabulous , nice big balcony , big bedroom & bathroom , air condition was great . the hotel is built on a hill so its a little confusing for the first few days trying to navigate but you get used to it , there is a shopping centre across the road that has lots of different stores and food court etc . the kids entertainers are wonderful people and my kids are still talking about them so a massive thank you to Molly , Marlene , Miguel and Inez from Kyle Ryan & Jack Ryan .They try so hard on what seems to be a zero budget . Now for the down sides , well firstly the entertainment for adults is almost non existent and the bar downstairs is actually in the same room as the restaurant so there is no bar atmosphere , the entertainment for example might be bingo where you get one small box of numbers and a cocktail stick to mark the numbers and if you win you get a cocktail . Then suddenly at 11 sharp you are asked to leave as the bar as it is now closed ? lol , the only place you can go then is up to the upstairs bar which is in a sort of hallway to the rooms and here you must pay for your drinks what a joke , the hotel seems to be very bland almost has an empty feel to it . the food is only ok and definitely gets very boring after a few days as you feel like your eating the same food at every meal and very limited for kids . The all inclusive almost feels like a scam , for example one day at the pool I asked for a toasted sandwich and I was told it would cost me €3.50 but I could have the same sandwich for free if they didn't toast it lol , chips are not included , you get your beer in a small plastic glass which I can understand when your by the pool but its the same at night in the bar , a very small plastic glass . the pool is a little bit dodgy for non swimmers or small kids as it is a bit deep even the kiddies section is 1 mtr deep so to sum it up , nice staff , great kids entertainers , good location , nice rooms with nice views . not so good food , no adult entertainment , hotel completely shuts down far too early and the all inclusive feels like a scam , we had a great time and we made the most of it and Albufeira is beautiful with something for everyone but we won't be coming back to this hotel im afraid .

"A great holiday, great apartments, however I'm afraid the lack of entertainment would stop me returning!"
07/10/15 shawster500 Glasgow, United Kingdom
My family and I are just back from these apartments and had a brilliant holiday. The best point about the property was the location and the rooms. They are spacious and kept very clean. The kitchen area was great for us as in many 4* accommodations we have stayed in before you have to pay extra for a fridge but not here which was good. The pool is also kept very clean and there are pool staff cleaning / checking the pool daily. Some reception staff were excellent, particularly Maria who tried to do everything in her power to help.....thanks Maria. The food, on all occasions, was warm, varied and plentiful. My children are picky eaters and found something every day. Now the down sides. The pool area - you either have sun in the morning or the afternoon but not both. Think it may be worthwhile adding sunbeds on the grass area at the back of the pool to give people more options? I'm not going to mark down the apartments about the towel run or the hen do's as this is our behaviour that causes the problems. I think however that stricter management of both would improve the experience overall. (to the hen that thought I was outrageous to ask for the gangster rap song that shouted mother F**** in it to be turned off, may your next poo be a hedgehog, I had my 10 year old and 8 year old there, have some manners.....can't wait until it happens to you with kids!! Also the entertainment was non existent which, if I'm honest, would stop me from staying here again. It's ok to go out a few nights but if you are all inclusive it becomes quite expensive. We spent quite a few nights in the room playing cards as the kids were bored which isn't good enough. All in all I think it's a great property with the potential to be a true 4* but until they get it right with the entertainment I won't be back!
