Et helt greit hotell. Brukte ca 15 min å hå til stranden og 15 min å gå til bargaten. Fryseren i kjøleskapet var ødelagt, og kjøleskapet duret veldig mye. En del støv og dritter i kroker og kriker og under sengene. Rommet var forsåvidt greit, men ganske slitent interiør. Vanskene var omtrent umulig å skru helt av og det var dusj i badekar som er etter […] min smak veldig ekkelt. Hotellet fortjener IKKE 4 stjerner, lukta skikkelig vondt i korridoren og rommet var så sliten og sengene er så dårlig at jeg og dama mi fikk vondt i ryggen å ligge der. Fjernkontrollen til tv'n på rommet virker bare på volum knappen, ellers måtte du gå helt bort til tv for å skifte kanal, ikke fikk vi skrudd av tv, måtte dra ut kontakten. Tidlig […] på morgenen så blir du vekket av musikk og en som skriker i mikrofon ved bassenget for å få med folk på morgen gymnastikk i bassenget der, mye støy hvis du har vindu mot bassenget. Vi klaget og fikk på samme dag ett nytt rom, med litt bedre senger men rommet var like sliten der også, dusj batteriet hang løst ut fra veggen så du ser rett inn i 2 hull i veggen, skal bli morro når vannet trekker seg inn bak veggen der og danner sopp og råteskader! "Mycket nöjd med hotellet"
Först vill jag säga att jag läste recensionerna innan jag reste och blev lite orolig. När vi väl var framme i hotellet såg vi inget av det dåliga som jag läst om. Vi fick ett rum på fjärde våningen och hade en underbar vy över hotellet, polen, havet och växtriket mellan hotellet och havet. Vi fick ett rum som uppfyllde våra krav och det enda dåliga […] jag kan säga var att dusch kranarna var lite slitna och gamla. När man går omkring i Albufeira inser man ganska snabbt att alla hus och hotell inte är moderna vilket vi tycker är en bra grej, bevarad kultur. Vårt rum var städat och rent, städning varje dag i kombination med byten av handdukar och påfyllning av förbruknings artiklar i badrum. Servicen är otroligt bra och alla är väldigt trevliga. Polen är fin och ren, bra helt enkelt. Maten kan vi inte uttala oss om för vi åt ute alla dagar. Självklart hade vi ac i rummet. Köpcentrum i närheten och läget för hotellet kunde inte blivit bättre. Efter att få vänta 95 minuter på hotellrummet efter utsatt tid, kom vi in i ett smutsigt rum med fotavtryck på väggarna, taket och golvet. Balkongdörr som inte gick att låsa. Ett kylskåp så smutsigt att vi inte ville ta i det. Sängar som sett sina bästa dagar för flera år sen. Ibland blev vi utan handdukar. Hela hotellet var kraftigt slitet, smutsigt, […] med tuggumi på golven. Buskar, gräs och rabatter halvdöda. Skräp i rabatterna och poolen. Fimpar överallt. "All good-a very nice place to stay."

Having read quite a few mixed reviews about Luna Miramar, I'm happy to report that our 7 day stay at the hotel was great, and that I would definitely recommend it. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment, which overlooked the pool area, and it was lovely..spacious, clean, well appointed kitchen for self catering, and kept spotless by the very obliging housekeeping staff, that visited us daily to make the beds, clean the floor and replace towels. The food selection in the restaurant was fine, plenty of options to choose from at all meals, and the restaurant staff were very prompt with clearing tables, and keeping the buffets well stocked and tidy. Special mention must be made of Edgar, one the reception desk-he was fabulous! So helpful, and explained everything thoroughly to us, gave us tips on what to see and which tours were good..thank you, Edgar, you're the best! The hotel is very conveniently situated-a hop, skip and a jump to the main shopping centre (seriously, it's a 30 second walk) and five minutes walk, downhill, to old town. There's a lot of shops nearby, even McDonald's and KFC for the cuisine-challenged folk among us. Other folks have complained in their reviews about sunbeds, etc, and yes, as much as the signs say you're not to reserve sunbeds with towels, as they will be removed, it's not enforced. Quite frankly, if folks are cheeky enough to plonk a towel on a sunbed at 6:15am, and then go back to bed, only to complain when they surface 4 hours later, to find someone on 'their' sunbed, they're just being cheeky. We had no problems getting sunbeds, no matter what time we went for a swim, but then, we weren't really fussed if we weren't in the full sun, etc. I would have no problem with moving someone's 'reservation towel' though, if need be. The signs are pretty clear!! It took me a few days to get used to the floor plan of the hotel...being built on a side of a hill, what you think would be the ground floor is actually the third floor, the first floor two levels below. I spent some quality time, wandering around in the back of house part of the hotel one day, completely lost! The lifts are slow, so if you're able, it's easier and most times quicker, to use the stairs. All up, we were really impressed wih the hotel, and very much enjoyed our stay there...I would recommend this hotel, without hesitation. Great value for money, and really nice place to stay. Two little pointers-they don't have beach towels for hire, so make sure you bring your towels for the pool with you, from home..and, there is no laundry service, so you may have handwash in the bath, or untilise the laundry shop in the shoppping centre, if you need to do a wash.

Stayed here for 5 days in early September, was quite quiet which was nice. Less than 5 min walk from old town. Staff where great! More than helpful. Provided gluten free bread for breakfast which I was very chuffed with! Clean spacious rooms. Would deffo recommend this hotel.
"Not a 4 star!!"
Stayed at this hotel at the beginning of September. Things didn't start off well when the coach driver dropped us at the top of the street and simply pointed down the hill where it was not entirely obvious where the hotel was. Reception is nice but is probably the only bit that could be considered 4-star. Things continued to go wrong, the fire alarm went off 3 times from 3am onwards on our first night which reception seemed unconcerned about. The boiler in our room also made an intermittent noise which kept us awake as well. The most frustrating part was the pool, signs everywhere about not reserving beds with towels but not adhered to by the hotel. On our first full day, we had to wait until 1pm before we could get 2 beds by the pool and then had to go down early every morning after this to ensure we didn't miss out. Food selection is poor, same stuff day in day out and flies all over the salad. Fully refurbished is definitely not accurate, Luna have done enough to get through this season, I just hope there is more to come. I would class this as a good 3-star, the Bisa Del Sol which is just around the corner is a 4-star and the Luna was nowhere near it I'm afraid.

Stopped at Luna Miramar 2 weeks ago so read the reviews before we went and was unsure about going. the sunbed saga is a nightmare approx 100 sunbeds available for the whole of the hotel which clearly isnt enough !!! towels placed on sunbeds to reserve them from as early as 6:15am !!!! There are signs advising cannot reserve the beds which is ignored watch 1 women put 12 towels on the beds one morning, went back to bed and came back 3 hours later and then complained that some of the beds had been taken by other people !!! food ok but loads of flies on the cold food very off putting, rooms ok location great and loved the old town, The pool was not cleaned daily only saw it cleaned twice in 14 days, the pool area never cleaned broken rails and green scum in the pool and a nasty smell from the drains, bar area not big enough for all inclusive and the entertainment well lets not go there !!! spent every night out of the hotel and paid for all inclusive not good !!!! Loved Portugal but will not be going back to this hotel

Can't thank the Manager : Tiago Afonso Pais enough for the help from himself and other members of his staff for the quick thinking and support given to my wife and I when I required emergency treatment and subsequent transfer to Faro emergency hospital.That was just our second day so when I returned to the Hotel on the next-again day i was eagerly watched to make sure I was fit again. Our room was Fantastic so light and spacious with all mod-cons, Microwave Kettle Toaster Fridge with freezer for Ice Cubes, lovely clean comfortable bed and good quality large bath towels etc.We were on the 4th floor with a good sea view and pool view large Balcony.There was a mad rush in the mornings for sunbeds but if everyone that was intending going out shopping and day tripping kept there towels in there rooms until they needed to relax by the pool it would make life easier for everyone.. I wasnt that enamoured with the selection`s of food at Dinner in the evenings but always found something tasty. A special thank you to the "Little Lady" with the dark Bronzed hair who kept our room in Pristine condition for the 14 nights we stayed.

My wife and I booked this hotel with another couple. 7 days before we are due to arrive, are told we are being moved 5 kilometres away to another resort to accommodate a larger booking. We weren't asked to move...we where told. After explaining we didn't want to relocate and asked if others could be asked to move, the response was totally unprofessional. No apology received at all and we where told "take it or leave it". The stress this has caused is beyond a joke. They still have the cheek to advertise rooms at ridiculous prices for the dates we where meant to be staying. They have no interest in putting the honest paying customer first. Be cautious when booking this hotel.

What can I say apart from Neil from Sunderland had it spot on. It was like we were there at the same time!!! It's a good job you weren't on your honeymoon Neil!!! This hotel should be called the luna maze!!! You enter reception on 3rd floor, pool and restaurant on 1st floor and our room on 5th floor!! If you don't like lifts then your snookered!!! Food and drinks ok. They advertise fully refurbished, the only thing refurbished was reception,everything else was in dire need of an upgrade, the stairwells, rooms,and God the pool area was an embarrassment!! one old lady cut her hand on stair rail getting out of pool as it was old and split!! A guest cut up his child's spongy gun to wrap it round stair rail to stop anyone else cutting their hand as it was so sharp. Next day it was gone. Nothing in this hotel gets fixed or rectified. I think Jet2 holidays shud rethink advertising this hotel until it's faults have been rectified then maybe guests will not feel like they've been robbed.staff unfortunately had not been refurbished as a smile was a struggle. The pool was 12ft deep which slightly concerned me as my 10yr old loves to swim, never known a pool to be so deep. Entertainment was very poor, one night they stripped to underwear and chased each other, it must be a Portuguese thing as they were laughing and us English weren't, still don't get it. Hotel was in good location to old town and shops with supermarket right next door. Hotel is def not 4 star, more like a 2 star. To anyone who has already booked, do what we did and make most of it. To anyone who is thinking of booking....just don't ..please. Try princess playa in menorca, now that's a classy hotel.

Had a fantastic family holiday there a few weeks ago.The hotel is clean and tidy,rooms are spacious with plenty of room for the 4 of us.The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.Its in an ideal location as both the old and new town are only a 10/15 minute walk.We stayed all inclusive but wasn't very impressed with the food(same things nearly every day),drinks and snacks by the pool were good tho.Only complaint was the wifi service,only available in the reception and kept going off. Best thing about my time there were the really friendly and welcoming entertainment staff,my sister and I loved all the games and they made us feel very welcome.Special thanks have to go to Cesar Barros,Rita Ramos,Ana Marta Correia and Hugo Patricio for making our holiday as good as it was.I would love to go back to Luna miramar

we stayed in the luna miramar two weeks ago and all i can say is it was different, my personal opinion is that this is not a 4 star hotel, it was very clean all the time the staff where helpful there where alot of things which could be better, swimming pool area the white fence that seperated the little pool from the big pool was in need of alot of attention as it was a hazard and had sharpe edges on, loose tiles around the edge of the pool great for catching your feet and cutting them, there was cables hanging from the walls where lights had been taken off and left, there entertainment was poor for all ages, it also did not really cater for the english same food each night which was bland. overall portugal is a beautiful place and we would go back again but not at this hotel.

My daughter and I stayed at the Luna Miramar last week and we had a fantastic time.The reception staff were courteous and efficient at all times; special mention to Edgar for his help in organising our trip to Zoomarine.The apartments were clean and spacious and a problem with the patio door lock was sorted out straightaway. The apartment contained all that we needed for our self catering stay. We stayed on the fifth flour (room 507) and we had a lovely view of the pool. I know that other reviewers spoke of the difficulty of getting sunbeds , we didn't find that to be a problem. The hotel is in an ideal location near a shopping mall, a bus stop and 10-15 minutes walk to the beach. I would be happy to recommend this hotel. Thank you Luna Miramar!
