The guy who checked me in was a jerk but otherwise my stay in this hotel was fine. There is nothing particularly special about the rooms or other amenities but there is nothing bad about them either. The hotel is adequate and very well priced.

The price of this very well located hotel is unbeatable. The rooms are small and don't offer much additional comfort, but the separated bathroom and toilet within the room is a nice feature, additionally the rooms were very clean. Just next to the "Altstadtring", which is known for its plethora of bars, restaurants and clubs. Two subway stations are nearby (<5 minutes walk). Breakfast has to be purchased seperately, but for a good price. Since the hotel is also a youth hostel, expect to see drunk people hanging around in front of the hotel during nights. I even had to dodge some barfmarks on the street surrounding the hotel in the early morning after weekend nights. The hotel is perfect for a short stay in cologne if you don't plan spending much time in the hotel room, especually for a party trip to cologne i really recommend this hotel. Also the price is just unbeatable for a hotel withing the "Altstadt" of a german city. Read more

We loved almost everything about this hostel. The rooms were great, the beds were comfy, our room (and I think all of them) had its own shower and toilet (separated WC and shower - brilliant), even a TV with CNN international in English. The rooms also have lockers, for which you must provide a padlock, But DON'T be a moron like me and go smoke a cigarette […] on the lovely, shaded patio or go out for a quick beer without locking up your valuables, even if you have a private room. It doesn't feel unsafe or seedy, but opportunistic thieves are around and seem to have easy access to rooms. Some other nice aspects of the hostel: it's walking distance to Neumarkt, to trams 1 and 9, and a market that's open until midnight every day except Sunday (closed). There is wifi throughout and computers in the lobby. It's not free, but it's cheap enough. There is no kitchen, but there is a 24-hour bar and friendly people will caffeinate you or sell you beer. We didn't sign up for the inexpensive breakfast but did scope it out and it looks like it's worth it. There were even cold cuts. Read more

This accommodation was a hostel, my husband was concerned about what I had booked us into, but the hostel was excellent. All the staff were helpful, the facilities were great, including washing machine and dryer, fantastic all you can eat breakfast for a reasonable cost. The rooms were serviced everyday. The only downsides were the beds were a bit hard […] and due to being in a hostel there were no tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Essentially a hostel with some private rooms, this is quite basic accommodation but the price is good, the welcome excellent, the cleanliness fine and the location accessible from downtown without much effort. All in all, perfect for a cheap short stay!

For somewhere described as a hostel, I was expecting something like a youth hostel, really basic. I had asked for a single room and was pleasantly surprised to find that it had everything i would have wanted in a room eg private facilities, TV and it was really clean and bright. Used this hotel for me and my mate to go watch football and see concert.The room was basic ( no tv or telephone ) but very clean and the beds were comfy. 24 hour bar if needed and the staff were helpful and attentive. The hotel itself was ideally suited for our purpose, a five minute walk to the trams which took you to the football ground and fifteen […] minutes to the river where the concert was. Ok if your visiting for drinking & not much sleeping, mainly male stag parties making lots of noise all night. The beds were really uncomfortable and the room was boiling hot, staff were nice though. You need to make sure you book parking as it was full when we got there and the street parking is €1 an hour. Greeted by friendly hotel staff at reception and checked in painlessly. Everybody we spoke to behind reception/the bar were very helpful and spoke good English. We were a group of lads who were basically looking for a room to sleep in and shower in - and they did the job perfectly. PIcked up my parents late from Koln-Bonn airport. We had a private 4 bedroom. (Had 2 singles and a bunk bed). Served purpose adequately. Parking underground reasonable price, room was very clean and warm. Had a good night's sleep as very quiet. Short walk into town centre - 15 mins to cathedral. Would stay here again.

Loads of families staying when we were there. The hotel was full of life, and not in a disturbing or disruptive way. It is very clean and cheap. Breakfast was good value - a small continental buffet range but quality produce. Staff were very welcoming and extremely polite and helpful (with a minor issue we had).

Hotel was slightly basic in that no drinking facilities in room and tv channels were to a minimum, but the room was clean, staff were very nice and helpful. Continental breakfast was good. Location for city centre and transport was good. Overall I would recommend if a budget is necessary.

The location is perfect, less than a two minute to Rudolfplatz Christmas market and tram stop and Neumarkt Christmas market and underground station is only another 5 minutes or so away. Wir haben uns bei Ihnen sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Empfangspersonen waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man brachte uns sofort einen Stuhl ins Zimmer damit am Computer über WLAN gearbeitet werden konnte. Alles prima. Leider gab es nicht wie ausgeschrieben TV im Zimmer, da wir ein Zimmer für 4 Personen erhielten, das wir aber nicht verlangt hatten, und […] wir nur zu zweit waren. TV hätte uns für die Arbeit geholfen (leider täglich obligatorisch). Gut, es gab gottseidank Internet. Viele junge Menschen wohnen im Hotel, man fühlt sich jünger... Leider bevorzugt man ab einem bestimmten Alter nachts Ruhe... Das war nicht immer gegeben und die Wände etwas hellhörig... Wir können uns ein Luxushotel leisten, wir brauchen es aber nicht und deshalb keine Beschwerde vor Ort, sondern den Umständen entsprechend angepasst. Für ein Hostel ganz ordentlich, aber natürlich kein Vergleich zu einem Hotel! Lage ist absolut super! Das 4 Bett Zimmer besteht aus einem Doppelbett und einem Hochbett! Dusche und Bad in bester Ordnung! Besonders für Studenten und junge Reisende zu empfehlen, weil Ihr da in bester Gesellschaft mit Stundenten aller Nationen seid!
