Fabulous resort! Everything was great, especially the treatment from most staff members. They go out their way to make you feel great, and provide excellent customer service. Food is also delicious! Pools are great for all ages. Hint- throw the staff a few bucks in tips and they'll take extra special care of you.

we went to celebrate my birthday and the hotel was excellent a very relax atmosphere, the beach is gorgeous and the service is amazing. we really enjoy our stay. there are so many options to eat the Japanese Restaurant was the best for us we are planning to come back and the paella by the main pool at 1 pm is a must have. the drinks were excellent.the hotel bead and room were very comfortable and they clean the room twice a day. love Dreams

We are frequent travelers to the Mayan Riviera/PDC/Xcaret area, but have stayed in larger resorts. This was our first stay at the Dreams in Puerto Morelos, but it won't be the last. This is a great resort. Phenomenal service, the best food we've had at an all-inclusive and terrific pools.

Overall Dreams Rivera Cancun is a beautiful resort right on the Mediterranean. We recently spent four days to attend our friend's daughter's wedding. We were disappointed the first night in the food at one of the poolside restaurants. We checked around and found better restaurants for the next three nights and enjoyed our meals. The only other complaint was that we ran out of hot water in the room during the daytime and I was forced to take cold showers for two days. The staff was notified but never really address the problem. Otherwise, this is truly a beautiful five-star resort and I would not hesitate to return in the future.

Was one of the worst places to go if you have a family. Was very surprised I didn't see many reviews regarding how noisy this place is. The base from the pool music starts at 8:15 am and goes for about 12 hours, unless there's a pool party at night, then later. Would mind if I didn't have to hear this in our hotel room with the doors and windows closed and we were not even close to the pool. Also all night long you can hear drunk people in the hall ways, the floors echos and you can hear everything in the hallway all night long. Food was terrible at the buffet and drinks were hit and miss, sometimes there was alcohol in them and sometimes you just had to go with a beer. The good parts were that it is a beautiful property and the check in was top notch, also the service at the Mexican and Italian restaurants was the very best. Beware you will fill a bit stuck there, they are obviously getting money from the taxis, every single time we left we had to pay 30% more then when you catch a cab to go back, happened all 3 times we left and there's nothing you can do about it, they only let who they want in. Everyone here is expecting a tip, so be warned.

My husband & I along with our daughters ages 11 & 12 stayed for a week at Dreams. We have stayed at the Dreams in Puerto Vallarta and had a great time. This was also the case. We had a preferred club room so check in was a breeze with cool towels and champagne waiting for us. Our room wasn't quite ready so we another drink and visited with VIP services and we were on our way. Beautiful room with a plunge pool overlooking the gardens. Our week was spent poolside enjoying the entertainment. Alfredo, our poolside waiter, always kept us happy with an array of drinks. We either participated or watched the fun activities offered. We loved the bike tour and I even did it twice.(Thanks Roger & Alex!) All the restaurants were great. We loved Portofino the best. Even my picky 11 year always had many options to select from. We happened to make friends with other families and we were all sad to see the week come to an end.

Dreams was the perfect location for our honeymoon, the restaurants were great many choices and the rooms were beautiful. We had the room with the plunge pool which was amazing. Hotel is a 30 min drive to the hotel zone and downtown cancun, we would definitely stay here again.

I didn't like the fact that I can hear the next door personal business that was very awkward. The food was ok, there was no activities nothing to do the beach was so dirty so many seaweed though they cleaned it was disgusting.

I have been on many cruises but this was my first "all Inclusive Resort". The staff were friendly and nice, service was good. the overall experience was great, the food quality was good (not Excellent), the restaurants were better than the buffet. The Drinks were really watered down.... There was a lot of sea weeds on the shore, the hotel tries to clean them everyday but they couldn't keep up. The entertainment was second (and sometimes Third ) grade. I've seen much better entertainment on the ships.

We spent 9 days at Dreams Rivera Hotel in late August - September. The staff is very friendly, hotel is very clean and the food excellent. The entertainment team works extremely hard. My kids didn't go to kids club, but I heard from other parents that it was pretty good. I would definitely come back to this hotel or other Dreams hotel. I really liked when at about 2 pm all chefs from the restaurants came out to the pool area with samples of the dishes and offer to people. It was very impressive!

Service service and more service. The employees will pamper you as if you're the only customer. Everything was great. The food is excellent and the selection is great as well. I have visited most of the all inclusive hotels in the riviera maya and this hotel is on the top of my list of recommendation. The only negative point is the low water pressure in the shower.

This resort had the best staff everywhere you went . Very family oriented and lots fir kids to do. Only con was the beach. While the resort had it very clean, nice, with lots of activities, there was still a lot of plant life that was continuously floating up on the beach.

We spent 8 days at the Dreams - this was our fourth time - and the overall experience was great. However, this time we did notice that the beach was a little dirtier than in previous years. We took a few plastic bags and papers from the water and reported the issue. Would be better if the staff could clean it more often.

There are ALOT of bugs here that will eat you alive, so don't forget the bug spray. The lobby is all opened I am guessing it's like that year round, so the bugs are on the prowl there. I went there in July, it's really hot and humid. Very uncomfortable in the lobby being that there is no AC. The staff there is super friendly though, the ones on my floor even addressed me by name when they saw me walk out of the room. They call to check up if you ordered room service to see if everything is okay. The maid made sure our rooms were clean and even came back to turn down everything for the evening (refreshen the room and pull the curtains and stuff).

This was our 4th visit to a Dreams hotel; the other 3 visits were to Dreams Cancun which is now closed. Compared to the other hotel, we found the food quality and service to be inferior here. However, the beach is nice (although lots of seaweed there) and the pool is great but gets too crowded. Also, the room descriptions are somewhat deceptive. We had booked a premier deluxe ocean view room at a pretty hefty price. When we got there, we found out that the room was far away from the beach and you could barely see the ocean from one side - completely not worth it and very disappointing. We ended up paying more to get upgraded to a beach front room which was very nice. However, at nearly $700 per night I believe there are much better values to be had in Cancun.

we just had our wedding at this resort, and it was amazing! the wedding coordinator Claudia Solis made our wedding perfect, it was better than i imagined! all of the staff were friendly and welcoming, even all of the guests were friendly! the food was amazing and they were able to accommodate my food allergies (gluten free) they even made my wedding cake gluten free! the day of the wedding the air conditioning in our room wouldnt cool down past 79 degrees, but the staff came right away to fix it no problem. We are already planning our next trip to Dreams!

Overall, the experience was incredible. The room was clean and spacious. The bar was well stocked. The pools were well kept. The service is excellent. Overall, the vacation was great except for the space experience. For some reason the cc machine wasn't working the day we went. It was our year anniversary and we wanted to get his/her massages. The trouble with the cc machine not working is that they tried to bill our room, but, for some reason, there was no credit card on file, which was interesting because they took an imprint of my card at check-in. I was really annoyed as they expected me, a honeymooner, to walk the ten minutes to my room to get my cc and walk it back over to the front desk, another ten minutes, and then to walk back over to the spa. Who has time for that on vacation!?!? Bottom line, whether this is a one time event or a regular thing, just keep cash on you if you go to the spa to avoid having to walk all over the place. THAT IS MY ONLY COMPLAINT. The place is gorgeous and you will be well-satisfied if you decide to go. Just call the spa before your appointment to see what the status of the credit card machine is

Quite surprised the hotel did not offer Wifi in the rooms and the lobby connection was verrrry slow. Also, several of the restaurants required men to wear long pants which seemed rather ridiculous given the casual beach resort atmosphere......

My room was amazing the staff was through and so fast especially with my room requests. Extra minibar items in less than 10 mins. Dinners and food was so tasty.

communication with staff not easy. AC wasn't working for 4 nights and they kept saying it was working. Possible cruise passengers being dropped to use facilities. tons of little kids

It's all about the service here. We loved that you still got table service at an all inclusive. We stayed while the World Cup was on and they had a purpose built stadium covering ever game on huge screens. The beach was quiet and clean but the staff made the holiday - particularly Alfredo at the beach bar. Fantastic place for kids and adults

The big complaint that I would have is the description of room accommodations. We paid for a room that was described on our booking as "Premium Deluxe Garden View (King)." It was definitely not a 'Premium Deluxe Garden View".... our room overlooked the back alley that all the buses & service trucks used. There were some older buildings possibly used as apartments for the locals that had some greenery around it, but that wasn't what I would call a Deluxe Garden View... I even paid more to have that view!! Definitely a "0" rating in that category!

For 15 yrs we have stayed at various resorts from Cancun to Tulum. This is our 2nd time to Dreams, both times booking 3+ rooms. What we like best is its casual luxury: everything upscale you might want, but casual enough for kids. Second best is size and layout: even at capacity it doesn’t feel crowded. The food and service are among the best we've had. The beach is clean and good for swimming though not pretty for walking (unused docks and buildings nearby). My one complaint: there were weddings Every Single Day. One night there were 3 at the same time around the pools (which all rooms face) and the dance music was SO LOUD no one in my family could sleep. The music was literally shaking our (Preferred Club) room. I complained to the VIP concierge, and was told that I was the only person to be bothered by the noise (bad customer service, though I am willing to forgive this mistreatment of a repeat guest because all my other dealings with staff have been great). The next day, we heard several people talking about the loud music the night before, so clearly I was not the "only one" upset. We intentionally selected a high-end resort that is not a "party place" and we feel very strongly that the entire hotel should not be subjected to booming rap music from a private event until 11pm. It really affected the quality of our vacation. If it weren't for this I would return to Dreams again in a heartbeat. It really is a beautiful, well-run resort.

The Hotel was beautiful, the overall service was great, all the restaurants had great food and great service, the swiming pools were very clean and well designed, also the beach front was very clean and inviting. The hotel had lots of amenities and activities. The price was well worth it. I recommend tipping the help for their attention and service for an extra, extra great service. We are really greatfull to all the staff for their genuine hospitality.

Amazing. Best kids club ever, great entertainment. We went to Dreams Rivera for 8 days and didn't even leave the resort - so much fun at the resort! Food was great. We would recommend in a heartbeat. Possibly one of the best all-inclusive we have been to and we have been to a lot!

The staff and this hotel were the worst I've ever experienced. I never leave reviews, this is honestly a first for me. And there is a limit to the number of characters I'm allowed to type in this review so I actually don't have room to explain everything, but just for a small reflection of the service... The manager actually told me that since I booked through Expedia the hotel had already received my full payment for the stay, so if we left early to change hotels it would be no problem for them. Anyway the room wasn't what we reserved, it was dirty, there was literally no internet access in the room and when I called to let them know the wireless wasn't working in the room they said all of my devices were the reason (2 phones, an iPad and a laptop all of which worked before and after our stay there). We stayed w/ 2 other couples who were also unable to get Internet access and each had their own similar horrible service experiences. We went to the business center to check work related email and were told it was only for "Premium rooms" so we couldn't use their computers. The business center was empty, 4 computers sitting there unattended, AND our reservation was actually for a "premium room" but they didn't have what we reserved when we arrived, so it was really their fault that we weren't in a "premium room" (not that that should matter when the room is empty), but despite all of that we were told we couldn't check our email because my room key wasn't for a "premium.

Our second time at this resort in 3 years. Beautiful well maintained facilities. Food is remarkably good for an all inclusive ( improved since 2012). No trouble getting a palapa on the beach even during holiday week, although pool lounges filled up early. No reservation requirement for a la carte restaurants. Very kid friendly and safe environment. Staff, as well as front desk and concierge, are courteous and work hard to please. Highly recommend this resort for family vacation.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay...comfortable rooms, great view, nice service, excellent pools. Two improvement areas: (a) Food was average...can certainly improve especially in the World Cafe for Lunch/Dinner and need more Veggie options. The specialized restaurants were also average with smaller menus. The best was really the Pizza slices at the Pool-side grill, (b) The road from the highway (307) to the resort entranceway was horrible...it is next to a swampy area with tons of water overflow due to rains and ditches. Takes 10-12 mts to cross half mile or so with potential danger to smaller and lower cars. Something needs to be done here...i am amazed as I heard that this has been the case for a long time..there are couple of great resorts sharing this road including Dreams and Excellence

I will sum it up - the best service out there. The staff is caring and devoted, to your best experience. They are fast and responsive and I have to say, the people who work there are the resort's biggest gem! Food was great, except for deserts, only good thing was the Nutella crepe. The room was clean and beautiful, and they thought of even the smallest things - think shoe polisher, q-tips, sewing kit, ect. We traveled with our 19 month old daughter, who was too young for their kids club, but we had babysitters for 2 of the nights, and the girls were amazing - Andrea and Olga. The pools were great, just the right size and temperature. Overall, I'm very happy with our stay, and would go back for sure!

Great facility, compact, comfortable, clean, friendly, HOWEVER, if they don't fix the entrance road, I wouldn't recommend. If you have a medical emergency or need police assistance, there is no way for assistance to get to the hotel from the main highway quickly. We took an off-site excursion, and it took forever to get to the main highway because of the condition of the access road. There are dozens of great resorts right on the main road that are more easily accessible, so I would think the ownership of this facility would want to do something quickly. Pool swim-up bar was closed during our entire visit, so our grandchildren were disappointed.

Just returned from a 4-day stay at Dreams Riviera. This was our best trip to Riviera Maya, and we have been to six different resorts in the area. We felt totally pampered, the staff was great, the facility was beautiful, and the food was great. This resort will be our favorite memory. GO, GO, GO if you can.
