Beautiful hotel nestled in a picturesque mountain setting. The design and location of the hotel make you feel like you are in a secluded mountain resort while still being a short, 10 minute rickshaw ride from Cumily. The rooms were very cozy. Loved the "hand towel elephant" on our bed when we checked-in. Pool was fantastic. The staff were very friendly but not terribly helpful with booking activities prior to arriving at the hotel. Via email they indicated a number of activities were booked (elephant ride, safari) but they weren't. Didn't end up affecting anything, but noteworthy.

The reception area was very dimly lit. The same was true of the cottage that we were assigned. The room was so tiny that there was hardly any space for us to move around once three beds were placed inside for our party of 3 adults. In fairness to the staff, they were extremely helpful and courteous. The manager did assign us to another room the next […] day, which was much larger, but unfortunately also had very poor lighting. We had gone for a 4 day trip to kerala. The trip was to include munnar and allepey. Hotel greenberg is listed under Munnar. So we booked it for 2 nights. But to our chagrin, we found that this hotel is about 75 kms from Munnar. So after a drive of about 3 hours from munnar, we finally located the place. (There were almost no sign boards to guide us). As […] expected, this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing in its vicinity. It gives you a feeling of being marooned. As if you are stuck somewhere. After the long tiring drive to the hotel, we entered the rooms. Rooms were very shabby. furniture was broken. Really dingy rooms. There were cockroaches in the room. Even the blankets were wet. The bathrooms too were flooding. After this torture we went to the restaraunt, hoping for a decent meal. But as we had expected food was bad too and the choice was really limited. The hotel being situated in the middle of nowhere the guests have no option but to bear with whatever the hotel has. We were absolutely traumatised by the stay. We just packed our bags and fled the next day. A strong no-no for any family who is visiting Kerala for a holiday. Read more
