The hotel was in a great location. Not right on the strip, so you are out of Hwy 76 congestion. But right behind lots of great things to do on 76 which is just out the door and walking distance! The hotel is older, but clean and perfect for the cost. Staff was amazing and made the stay that much better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Gretna Inn Review"
We had reserved a room with a king bed, but when we arrived they had no kings available. Owner put us in a handicapped queen which was fine. Room was very clean. The only complaint we had was the bed was hard & very uncomfortable for us, we didn't sleep well at all. The owners are wonderful people.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I stayed here based on the great reviews, which I don't understand. The people were friendly and that's where the good part ended. The rooms are small, there was no room between the recliner and the bed ( I had to crawl across the bed to plug in my cell phone);no storage space, regular keys for the doors (anyone could make a copy); a very flat, old mattress which made it impossible to sleep, pillows that were little more than towels they were so flat, mold growing on the mirror frame, concrete block walls, the towel rack on the inside of the bathroom door was coming off and the list goes on. The building is adjacent to the helicopter rides, so every time one takes off it comes right over the roof. If you happen to have a child that needs an afternoon nap, you can forget that. The floor over the room was so squeaky every time someone up stairs took a step, I felt like the floor was going to fall in. If you go, take your own soap and shampoo, as the soap (which is the size of a sliver) feels like sandpaper and the shampoo was more like water than soap. Would absolutely NOT recommend.

An enjoyable experience. Really enjoyed staying at this motel & the staff is very nice & friendly. We plan on staying here in August for the super summer cruise. We experienced no problems & was very easy to find. We will be back.

My husband and I spent the weekend here. Room was a little small, but very clean. Room had a refridgerator and microwave which was nice. We didn't use the pool but there was always someone in it. Beds were ok, but take a pillow as they are a little flat. If you are on the lower level, you will hear the people above you but thats part of staying in a hotel. Also, the helicoptor tours are next door. But we blocked it out. Kinda neat watching them take off and land. If you are looking for a hotel with all the bells and whisltes, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a place off the strip, but close enough to walk, then this is the place.
"Great place to stay. Clean and friendly."

M.D. Very clean. I have roomed at a few motels during my stays in Branson and this one tops them all. Owner and crew are friendly and helpful. Price is right and near center of town. Walk or drive to attractions. You should check this out first before others in the same price range. Can't go wrong. Ask the owner (Richard) about Micky Gilly and his comical CD.

The next time you need accommodations in Branson, the Gretna Inn should definitely receive your consideration. Its location is ideal for easy access to literally dozens of restaurants, attractions, and entertainment venues, including our all-time favorite, the Mickey Gilley Show. My family and I have stayed at the Gretna Inn three times and have already reserved again for next summer. The owners, Richard & Racquel Hatfield (now this review's title probably makes more sense) provide spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced lodgings in an extremely cordial atmosphere. My husband and I really look forward to the coffee and conversation gatherings every morning in the office. (Juice and donuts are also included.) While there are dozens of places to stay in Branson, the Gretna Inn is truly superior.

Nice place to stay for the money! Staff and owners are very nice folks. We had a very nice stay and would go back. Right in the middle of the Strip so very nice to walk to places. Clean room! Pillows could be better. Veenstra

It has almost everything you need in an hotel. The location is right in the middle of all the attractions. The amenities are pretty good with refrigerator and microwave provided in the room. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a nice swimming pool also. Only thing that i would like to be improved is breakfast to have more options along with doughnuts, coffee and juice. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Branson.

Clean, Clean, Clean and walking distance to many eateries, miniature golf, go carts and the very best frozen custard place I've ever had :) The owners of the Gretna Inn go out of their way to make you feel like a welcomed guest. I wish their were more non chain hotels out there just like the Gretna Inn. You guys got it going on there! We will be back next month and won't stay anywhere but there :)

Great place to stay for a fair price. Rooms are extremely clean, though small. Was a perfect room for our purpose. Owners take great pride in this property and are on site interacting with guests. Crystal clear, nice sized pool. Just off the main strip in a location conducive to walking to family activities and attractions. Recommend this motel for those staying in branson for the Branson experience and not wanting to break the bank.
