It was a bummer- but only because we had to leave at 3:00 a.m. to driveBack to Dallas and had to miss the always good breakfast. We'll be back. Always clean, quiet and comfortable.

The hotel was very nice. It is new construction and is in a pretty convenient area to West Lubbock, Downtown and Texas Tech. The rooms were comfortable, free breakfast was good, but we did have a jacuzzi tub in our room and when we turned on the jets, it shot out black flakes. We never found out what that was. This hotel was absolutely miserable. The first thing they did was give away my room to another customer because we were a late check in and had booked through hotels.com. Leaving one of my kids to have to sleep on the floor because there was no bed for them (all the roll-aways were given away also). They had dogs in the hotel (not a pet-friendly hotel) […] that barked all night long and front desk refused to do anything about it. The treadmill wasn't working throughout our visit. And to top it off, I found food from previous customers in our room that was days old. It smelled and was moldy. Disgusting. Not worth the convenience of being right next to the baseball parks. The service was great at check in. Our room was your typical hotel room. We did however find a piece of wine foil on the floor that was overlooked when cleaning. The stay was great overall. After having the unfortunate experience of staying at a Comfort Suites Inn located in Hobbs, NM because there was nothing else available for hundreds of miles to the Permian Basin Gas & Oil Show in Odessa TX, it was INDEED A PLEASURE to get back to a place as clean and comfortable and accommodating at the Holiday Inn. Upon check-in the front desk clerk was speaking quietly with housekeeping. She was going to have to report that she had not done her job. This spoke two-fold. Management is on top of problems and will not tolerate a lesser job, and you may need to make sure your room is clean. Stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience. This time was very disappointing ! We were in town for a softball tournament and chose holiday inn because its close to the softball fields, very clean and friendly staff. This visit had to be the worst experience we've ever had with a hotel. When we arrived we notice the floors had not been vacuumed, […] nor the bathroom floor swept. While showering our daughter found dirty wash cloths in the shower along with used soap. Our son found a used syringe along with droplets of blood on the bathroom counter! Yes a used syringe! We asked for another room but none were available , also refund unavailable since we did not pay hotel directly . We also asked for a remote for the television . Didn't receive that till the last night we were there , we stayed three nights! The attendant we told about the used syringe and blood on the counter did personally come to our room to apologize and clean the mess. Our floor were never vacuumed nor was the bathroom ever swept the entire stay. We could have stayed at a different hotel that is further away , less expensive but we have had great previous experience. Unfortunately I , my family , team members and friends will not be back . Service desk help was alittle lacking..We were there when a tornado warning came and our room was on the 3rd floor. I asked if we could be moved to the lower floor and was told that I would have to pay for the lower floor room also. I think during an emergency there should be some exceptions to the rules... Stayed at Wolfforth HEI while passing through on a vacation trip and honestly didn't have any great expectations other than a place to sleep for the night. We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located next to the Marsha Sharp Freeway, so access to Lubbock is quick and easy. The hotel is brand new so everything is fresh. One problem for me was my bed sheet felt rough, so sleeping wasn't as comfortable as it could been. In addition, it irritates me when maids don't give you new toiletries when they clean your room, and our maid […] didn't give us ours. Through hotels.com about 20 off usual amt. Convenient to LDS temple (straight down 82nd street 5 minutes then N on Frankfort). Nice for family, although I was expecting a suite. Great breakfast. CLEAN indoor pool. Happened to be there when internet was down. Also had just flushed sprinkler lines so water was brown in the AM, but had already showered […] and brushed teeth, so didn't affect us. Great, clean hotel. Location would seem to be out-of-the-way, but it was right on an express way and it took only 10 mins to get to the center of town (Texas Tech Univ.) We have family in the Lubbock area but we did not want to impose on anyone. We decided to make it a mini vacation and treat ourselves to a hotel. I chose the one in Wolfforth because I know the area and it was priced right with all of the things we wanted (IE swimming pool & hot tub).
