This was the third of the three hotels we stayed at in France & we paid the most for this room. We had one of the worst rooms, so maybe our experience isn't typical for the entire hotel. The room was modern, fresh, & clean. It was the smallest room we stayed in (tiny!), but about normal for a medium-priced Paris hotel.Staff were very nice & helpful. […] Problems with the room were the following: we were on the first floor & the lights that light up the front of the hotel were directly under our windows,so it was impossible to get it dark in the room; we wereat the end, near the elevator/stairs so we could hear people talking while waiting; the hotel next door was being remodeled & we could hear every bang they were making at 8 am; the hotel is located on a very busy road so there was a lot of traffic noise. If you were on the other side of the hotel & on a top floor, I don't think you would experience these problems. The location was very convenient to the Metro. There were lots of reasonable cafes around, but this was definitely more of a business area than a tourist area. For the money we paid, we were disappointed, especially after loving our first two, less expensive hotel rooms in other parts of Paris and in Reims (Less expensive than Paris & a beautiul, clean city with lots of things to see & do.). I'll also review the other two hotels we stayed in: TimHotel Fontaine in Paris & Hotel aux Sacres in Reims - both of which we were very happy with.) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Informal and cosy."
Very nice little hotel. Neat, clean and although small, everything is practical and useful. For less street noise ask for rooms above the third floor. The best asset is their female staff. They are very helpful and go out of their way to please you regarding directions, travel or any information you ask for.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is very well located with a metro station very close by. The room was very small but clean. The elevator was so small that the three of us could hardly fit in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was not worth the price but there were a lot of cafes around the corner. I would recommend this hotel for a short stay.Genuine Expedia guest review

"I'd book this hotel again..."
We loved this hotel. I chose it b/c the reviews were overwhelmingly positive. We had a car and needed parking. When I emailed the hotel directly, I received a warm, helpful reply within 10 minutes! The staff is wonderful, the location very convienient to the metro. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes around. The rooms are very small, but we only […] needed a clean, quiet place to sleep after wandering the city. It happened to be VERY hot and it was wonderful to have air conditioning. "the perfect little hotel for us"
I came for a quick trip to Paris with my sisters. We chose Hotel de la Paix based on the excellent reviews about its charm and its warm and personal service. We stayed in the triple room on the 6th or 7th floor. The room definitely worked just right for us, with a double bed and a twin. Bonus: it had two showers! The room was spotless. Everyone was […] pleasant, from the front desk staff to the housekeepers. We enjoyed challenging ourselves by taking the stairs to try to beat the lift up to our room, as it was a tight squeeze for even two people. The location exceeded my expectations. Steps from the Raspail Metro (4 and 6 got us everywhere we needed to go, from Tour Eiffel to Gare du Nord) and the Cemetaire du Montparnasse (gorgeous). Easy walk to Jardin du Luxembourg. The neighborhood comes alive as soon as you pass the cemetery (ironic, right?), with cafes teeming with people on a summer evening. Our stay at Hotel de la Paix was everything we'd hoped it would be. "excellent, quaint, fine service, great location"
Very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat there, but there is a breakfast bar on the first floor. Free WiFi is a great plus. We had to pay for that in Rome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Woman who checked us in was very welcoming. As a matter of fact, everyone including the cleaning staff was all very kind and polite when we arrived to our room. Our room was furnished with classic country decor. Simple and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quiet neighborhood yet sights easy to access"
Staff was top notch, in particular Danielle, so helpful. Rooms very clean and basic. Staff works hard to please their guests.. Metro only 75 yards away. Yellow buses from "Open tour" stop almost in front of hotel. Small super market just around the corner; bakery at corner selling fresh baguettes, croissants, mini quiches, coffee, hot chocolate, juices […] pls.. Hotel has umbrellas available to their guests. We left one suitcase in their care while we toured Normady for few days. Would most definitely stay here again. Good value for your money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent service, lovely location"
Concierge staff was very nice and helpful. The location is great--away from the crazy tourist areas yet still close to a metro that will get you to where you want to go. Also, the hotel is near plenty of delicious creperies. I loved every bit of my stay at this hotel. The room was small but isn't every room in Paris?? "Great trip in paris"
Hotel is very nice and everyone was very friendly. It is located in a very nice area and close to the subway....which is very easy to use and a must for seeing the city. My girfriend and I stayed 4 nights and had a great time. Rooms were very clean. Service was friendly and very nice. Hotel has TV with a few english channels, bathrooms are a little […] small but they all are in europe so it was expected but totally sufficient. Location is great but a little bit out of the way. Great area with cafes and such. But if it was not for the subway it would be a little far to walk. The Tower is about 25 min all in with subway and walk...actually very easy and fast. I would have stayed closer to all the action but it was a little more expensive. So for the little extra time it was worth it. I can not say again that the subway is easy to use and cheap....about $1.25 per one way ticket. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We spent 6 days in Paris and had the most remarkable time. The hotel was our oasis after a great day of walking, sight seeing. I plan on giving this hotel to anyone I know that is going to Paris. I wouldn't consider […] going anywhere else!Location is a 1/2 block away from Metro. Felt very safe in the neighborhood in the evenings. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean and Quite. Great Value for Money"
My wife and I have visited Paris many times and spend more time outside hotel rooms than inside. We want something close to the Metro, quiet and clean. This is a great hotel for just that. The room is super quiet and dark (even overlooking busy street) when the windows and electric shades are closed. AC is available for hot weather but was not in service […] the time of year we stayed. We overslept once because it was too quiet and dark. The room is small as most under $200 in Paris are, but enough for 3 large bags and two people. The bathroom was new and clean (and bigger than some we've stayed at in the past). The front desk was super friendly and very helpful - in English or French. The one downside is the odd location of elevator stops at the midway points of the stairs so there is no getting around having to carry bags up or down stairs. The location is ideally located across the street from a Metro stop and just a few minutes walk to the action surrounding the bustling Montparnasse neighborhood. Restaurants abound. If travelling with luggage from the Montparnasse stop of the Air France Le Cars bus, take a cab instead of walking. It's a bit of a hike. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient to metro"
Comfortable and convenient to metro.Clean. Good neighbourhood. Good local restaurants nearby. breakfast not included. Should be for the rate. Still can't understand european shower heads attached to the faucet instead of on the wall. Very inconvenient. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Spoke English if needed. Would recommend to friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Charming but tiny rooms"
The staff and service is really great, but the rooms were disappointingly small. There was barely any room to walk around, and for two people staying in the room, it was quite cramped. This would be a good place to stay by yourself, but not with another person.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great value hotel!"
We have a very comfortable stay at this hotel. It's a great location and easy to find from the Metro. The wifi internet is very fast and that was nice to have. The hot water is VERY hot and so the shower can be a little hard to get comfortable. It is a very quiet hotel and we were able to get a good solid rest there. "good location and neighborhood"
As almost all places in Paris, dont expect extremely cleanliness or big spaces. The room are just big enough with a reasonably bed (not too much comfortable) and a TV. "Quaint French boutique hotel"
Hotel De La Paix was pretty much what I expected in a small European hotel. The rooms are small by US standards, but that's pretty much all of Europe. It was quaint. The lift and the computer "room" were the smallest I've ever been in but that just added to the charm. "Close to train station - but small"
It was worth the amount we paid. The rooms and bathroom were very small so if you are very tall take this into consideration. The location was good relative to transportation to the airport and proximity to the Metro. There were many restaurants in the area at all different price points. The elevator was very small (typical of most older European hotels) […] but it was a bit awkward because when you opened the door at any given stop you were at the middle of a flight of stairs. So as a result you either had to carry your luggage either up or down a 1/2 flight of stairs. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My family enjoyed a fantastic stay at this hotel. The room was much bigger than we expected, super clean, and tastefully appointed. Rooms were well soundproofed and we had a quiet nights sleep. And the hotel service was courteous and helpful, both arranging a taxi for us and accommodating us when we asked for a last minute breakfast. It's not in the […] main tourist areas, which might be a drawback for some, but it was a 10 minute metro ride (or 30 minute walk through Parisian streets!) to the heart if the action, and we appreciated its close proximity to Luxembourg Gardens. "Small room, good service"
Desk service was excellent, always ready to assist and with a very good English. Bathroom in a very good condition, no tab, just a shower. The neighbourhood is good, quiet, metro is about a 100m away. However, the room is very small, ours was about 12 square meters, no fridge, no kettle, no glasses or plates so if you plan to have a dinner inside you […] need to buy that as well. There are few super markets (of different sizes, but still parisian size) around the hotel. Look for them in the google maps by category. The best money change is not so far and will be recommended to you by the desk. One funny thing - the bed was made up nicely when we arrived but never again so - all the extra pillows moved up the closed and remained there for the rest of the stay. "Charming Hotel by the Station"
Quaint, cute, and charming are some of the words I'd use to describe Hotel De La Paix. Although I only spent one night here, I would be willing to come back for another visit. "Small cozy hotel with a convenient location"
We chose Hotel De La Paix for a long weekend in Paris against two comparable hotels closer to the touristy areas and did not regret it for a second. It is very conveniently located a few steps away from the Raspail metro, directly on the line 4 which brings you to Notre Dame in a few minutes, and line 6 which gets you to the Eiffel Tower or Trocadero. […] Small, cozy hotel with very friendly, English speaking staff. It offers all you may need in Paris - a clean room, a very comfortable bed with extra pillows, and a hot shower. Few minutes walk to either Montparnasse Cemetery, Luxembourg Gardens, or even the Catacombs of Paris. We will most probably return to Hotel De La Paix.
