初めて泊まりましたが、解放感あふれる部屋で大満足でした。特にバスルームは最高。あまり経験したことのない、広々とした部屋とバスルーム。今回は山側でしたが、次はぜひ海側にも泊まってみたいです。Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"one of the best"
I had a terrific time at this hotel, definitely one of the best hotels in Hong Kong, if not the best yet. The settings provide a very home feeling -- something you don't usually find in luxury hotels. The bathtub was the main reason I picked the upper house, and it did not disappoint me at all. Having a 47 floor view while bathing myself in the tube […] was brilliant. It really knows a customer's needs when travelling, with nail polish remover and eye cream in the bathroom, you can tell how much they care about us. A must go! "Amazing hotel and fabulous staff."
04/14/15 RSE2 London, UK
We stayed at The Upper House for 3 nights in April 2015 for my wife's birthday. What a stunning hotel, and the staff couldn't do enough to help and added significantly to our enjoyment of the hotel. The hotel is located next to the Pacific Place shopping centre, and about 5 mins walk from Admiralty MTR station. The entrance is easy to miss, but wonderfully discrete. On arrival from an overnight flight our room was not ready. We were whisked up to Cafe Gray and given a free glass of champagne whilst we waited. When I mentioned it was my wife's birthday a selection of cakes and a candle were brought within 5 minutes! It was a wonderful start and we didn't care that our room wasn't ready. The next night a boxed candle was sent to our room too. The rooms are enormous. We had a harbour room, with expansive views from both the bedroom and the bathroom via the floor-to-ceiling. The bathroom in particular was stunning with a freestanding tub (with harbour view) and enormous rain shower (also with a view). The hotel provided REN toiletries in decent sized bottles rather than the tiny ones you get in some hotels. Towels were suitably large and fluffy and there was maybe 6 bath towels at any one time. One word of caution; the floor immediately outside the shower is VERY slippery when wet. Thankfully the bathmats are large enough to not have to risk sliding on it. The depth of design at Upper House is something I have never seen before to this extent. Even the bottle opener is branded, and it all exudes a chic understated style. The Super King size bed has a deep mattress pad on it, and oversized down pillows. My wife has been complaining since we got home that our bed is not comfortable enough any more. Oddly the air conditioning would not go below 21'C and so our room was warmer than we would have liked. The free mini bar is a nice touch rather than being ripped off £4 for a packet of crisps. The WiFi is free and consistently quick. The cocktails in Cafe Gray were excellent and reasonably priced. The breakfast was also fabulous - although struck me as expensive. We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant - mistake! My wife and I have discussed whether this is the best place we have ever stayed. She favours Soneva Gili (Gili Lankanfushi) as it is now called, but I'm not so sure. I thought Upper House was an absolute triumph. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Hong Kong.

After a cruise through Southeast Asia, we had the most wonderful stay at the Upper House! The design is modern and serene. The service is exceptionally warm and personalized. Antoine Périé is a true asset to their business. And the hotel doesn't nickel and dime you for minibar items. I would highly recommend the Upper House to anyone visiting Hong Kong! I look forward to checking out their new property in Miami.

We recently stayed 7 days over Easter to take a leisurely look at HK. From the moment we arrived, we enjoyed friendly personal attention and felt thoroughly looked after. We had a corner room with a view of the Peak and b/c we were staying 7 nights, we received our 4th night free plus a room upgrade. The additional space was very handy with a long-ish stay. Beds very comfortable, pillows divine (!) and a bathroom to die for. The hotel is centrally located; Cafe Grey is a very good restaurant. In short, nothing but praise for the hotel and the staff. A bit expensive but worth every penny and highly recommended. A luxury oasis is a very busy city.
"Best 5 star hotel in Hong Kong"

We stayed at the Peninsula first, (bad attitude and no view , unless a view of the YMCA counts), then moved to Mandarin Oriental( small dated bathroom and low ceilings) then moved to the Upper House where we wish we had stayed the other nights! We spent 4 nights in a room with a view of the harbor and floor to ceiling windows in our bathroom! Steffi and Anthon were fabulously helpful! Steffi recommended restaurants where the tourists don't go and all the meals were the best we had in Hong Kong! She also recommended a tailor where my husband and I had clothes made! This was the best hotel we stayed in over the 2 weeks and Steffi and the staff at the hotel made the entire trip memorable! Don't waste your time with the other hotels! This one is a hidden gem located on top of the JW Marriott. They have no association! Upper house just has the higher floors and better service and views!

I had often come for meals and drinks at the restaurant upstairs, and had visited a friend in their room before but this was my first time actually staying in the hotel. I was impressed. It's a beautifully thought out room and very comfortable. I wish I could have stayed longer. I had 1 very strange incident where I asked to borrow dish soap and was refused 3 times, then got sent the wrong thing once before I finally got my soap. Ive stayed in many many 5 star hotels and never had I ever encountered this issue. finally at 1130 pm they sent me the right thing. Then at midnight someone knocks on our door loudly to apologize and send a gift. The gift was the exact same gift as we received when we checked in. The midnight disturbance woke up my husband and We definitely could have waited until the next day for the apology and gift.

The guest experience staff was wonderful and helped with every request. The hotel is in Admiralty at Pacific Place and very near Hong Kong Park. That means it is easy to use the MTR and convenient to relax with a walk in the park. And, course, the proximity to Pacific Place means you can shop until you drop. Our room had a harbor view and was designed with wide windowsills and cushions which encouraged relaxing while enjoying good views of both the water and the Peak. The desk came equipped with excellent desk supplies and many cables to facility computer usage. The wi-fi is fast, free, and easy to use. When our guest experience staffer showed us to our room, he pointed out the mini bar then laughed and said - well maybe a maxi bar. I won't spoil your fun by describing what was inside the cabinet's french doors except to say the cabinet contained a dim light, which for the first time ever on our travels, allowed me to make tea in the morning without awaking my traveling companion. It is clear that much thought went into the room design. i would stay here again in a heat beat. My only regret is that we did not build an extra day into our travel plans just to relax at Upper House.
"Best Hotel in Hong Kong--Bar None!"

After extensive research, I decided to try the Upper House for our recent trip to Hong Kong. Our room was terrific, with large and sweeping views of the Harbor and City--every morning I'd click the remote and the drapes revealed the view! I can't say enough about the service: Peggy, Christina, Howard and even Chef Gray worked hard to make our stay memorable. The breakfasts were varied and terrific and of the freshest ingredients and the coffee was plentiful and strong! Views were pretty great from Café Gray as well. We also had a standout vegetarian, multi-course meal that was quite simply one of the best meals I have ever had--elegant, fresh and downright tasty! I think the location is super convenient to Pacific Place and the MTR, and you can nip down to the grocery below Harvey Nick's for wine/cheese etc. if you just want to hole up in your room a bit. The snacks and drinks included with the room's Maxi bar are a great touch! Honestly, the Upper House was a great home away from home. We'll definitely be back!

What makes the difference is the team who runs the hotel. Service from front office to the bars and restaurants were great. They have improved tremendously and this is my fourth time staying at the hotel.well done!

Spent two nights with our family and stayed at The Upper House. The staff went above and beyond all our expectations in regards to making our trip memorable! Especially our 6 year old daughter! The welcome gift and child specific amenities made this "her favorite hotel EVER!!!" The guest experience team is phenomenal helping with reservations and their communication leading up to our stay was a nice touch. This is the only hotel we will stay at in HK and the only hotel we will ever recommend to our friends! Thanks for making our short trip so awesome!
"Unparalled customer service and wonderful rooms"
04/04/15 peter m Sydney, Australia
I have stayed in many of the worlds top hotels and this one is right up there. One of, if not the, best hotels i have ever stayed in. Customer service is exceptional, right down to the pre-packed coffee and croissants handed to us at our 6am checkout! Absolutely THE place to stay in Hong Kong. They make a pretty good Margarita in the 49th floor bar as well, a very nice way to watch the sunset. It's on the Island but a short walk to the Star Ferry to reach Kowloon.
