This was a great location and the price was perfect. The room is a little small but with a fridge and very clean. I loved stayng here and would stay again. I am curious if the rest of the locations are just as good because it is a chain.

The bad...This hotel is designed for the business traveler. The rooms are small, bathrooms are tiny, beds are firm and walls are a little thin. However, all of these seem normal for a Japanese Hotel. The Okay... Doing laundry for 5 was not very enjoyable. Clothes took 2 hours per load. Wash clothes in the mornings or late at night. The Good...Location […] is great, restaurants, stores and multiple train stations are within 10-less walking distance. Staff was very nice, they were able to handle all of our extra requests with no issues. We could not beat the great price, we have a family of 5 which almost always requires 2 rooms in Asia. We needed a place to sleep, we were never in the hotel for very long. We visited Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe on our trip and were constantly on the go. We would definitely stay here again for such a trip. Great little hotel and very fairly priced. The only drawback for some travelers might be that they are not close to any subway stop....But if you don't mind a 5-6 minute walk with your baggage, it's a great little place to stay.

We were satisfied with our stay. The staff were nice and the rooms clean. Comfortable for what we needed, which was just a place to base ourselves for a whirlwind couple of days of Osaka sightseeing -- in other words, just a place to sleep and refresh, not hang out or lounge around. Excellent choice for the traveler who only plans to use the hotel as a home base for sleeping. Rooms re-define tiny, but are sparkling clean, efficient and at night, very quiet and peaceful. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the value can't be beat. Location is on a side street, so is very quiet at night when you are trying to sleep, but only a few blocks from a train station so you can get to your destinations quickly. Plenty of places close by to eat late at night or in the morning as well as a grocery store around the corner. Only flaw was the bed was not very soft, which I personally prefer, but my daughter thought it was fine. Best hotel in the Chuo-ku area for visitors to Osaka. Train stations near by (but that is everywhere is Japan), Shinsaibashi-suji shopping and entertainment very close, America Town very close...and so on. It's right in a very populated and fun part of the city with many bars and clubs to enjoy during the night time. Temples and Monuments are also very […] close such as Osaka-jo Castle or Shitenno-ji. So location is great basically. The affordability is what made me choose this hotel verses ones near by. The staff are very helpful and have many english speakers. I got sick one day and was able to call for medicine and an extra blanket with ease. Very kind staff. Don't expect a massive room. But it's just what you need as a visitor. I spent 3 nights at Chisun Inn Osaka Hommachi over Lunar New Year and had wonderful stay. Room was impeccably clean and the size was expected. Typical Japanese style single room. I felt you could have wheeled a medium to large sized suitcase into the room. I traveled with a backpack. I stayed alone but I believe you could have 2 people in the room which […] might make it a little tight with two large bags but the bed was definitely large enough for 2 people. It was firm (as usual in Asia) but comfortable with a down comforter. The location of the hotel was great it is in the middle of 4 subway stations. We walked to the hotel from the Sinsaibashi exit on the Mido-Suji line. If you go out exit 3 turn left, cross the street towards the Louis Vuitton store and then turn left once you cross the street go up 4 blocks and turn right, walk another 4 blocks and the hotel is on your right side. I printed a map from google and it was easy to find. Also easy walking distance to 3 other stops including Hommachi. I also walked several times to Namba station which only took about 20 to 30 minutes. I definitely recommend this hotel. There is wired internet in each room and computers to use downstairs in the lobby. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Read more

The Chisun Inn Osaka Hommachi is a 4 and a half block walk from the Sakaisuji-Hommachi station (an expressway runs above the subway station). A Family Mart convenience store (a half block from the hotel) supplies items like apple danishes and orange juice that can be stored in the room's mini-refrigerator. There is a laptop station near the check-in […] area so there is no need to carry a laptop. There was an ethernet connection available in my room for my use. This hotel was very clean and although not as big as most american hotels, it was decently sized and comfortable. The location is very convenient, about a 10 minute walk from Hommachi subway station. If you come out of the hotel, turn left, and walk about five blocks, you come to Shin Sai Bashi Suji, a long, pedestrian only street full of small stores. […] There is a 24 hour McDonalds right on the corner. If you turn left down that street, you eventually come to the river, where you can see a famous bridge and a lot of neon lights. I like the location of the hotel. it's 4 or 5 blocks from the nearest subway station but it is very close to a huge shopping street near Hommachi station. it's a long covered street. the room was tiny but clean. the bathroom was one of those ready made ones with a tiny bathtub. something I didn't like: for some reason, there's only 1 tap in the bathroom. […] the water is shared between the bathtub and the sink! so you have to turn a manual switch and choose between getting water in the sink (washing hands, etc) or shower! there was a really big step between the bathroom and the bedroom and I tripped on it a couple of times. if you can change your room to one without this step, do it. Hotel in great location. Elevator a little bit noisy, so avoid the rooms near the elevator. Very clean. STaff very friendly, particularly when I required an ambulance due to illness (I think I ate bad sandwiches at a nearby cafe.)

Very good hotel close to the 'shinsaibashi suji' - the big shopping arcade in downtown Osaka. The room is what you would expect for Japan, quite small and basic - ideal for people who like to explore and spend most of their time outside of the hotel. Would not recommend for families. Walking distance to main shopping area. Front desk staff was extremely helpful when I needed to find a restaurant. Room is very small, as with any Japanese rooms so dont' expect the typical North American sized rooms. Rooms very clean. Free internet use on computers in the lobby. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. On the location of the hotel, it's a 5++ minutes walk from the nearest subway (depends on how heavy your luggage is). Its quite confusing to find it as its situated in 1 of the small lanes & u really need a good map. I asked around but they kept confusing the chisun-inn with the chisun hotel (a much bigger hotel) […] which is situated quite near. The hotel is within walking distance to the looong road full of shops (cant remember the name) so not that bad. The room itself is OK. My only and major complain is that the rooms DONT HAVE WIFI. Nice clean hotel with all the facilities we need. Room and bathroom are smallish but worth the cheap price. A bit of a walk to the main stations and Shinbashi. There are many restaurants nearby that open till pretty late. Overall, we liked it and think it's good value for money.

If you have a big luggage, it's difficult to carry arround becuase there is no lift/elevator at the subway station and it's quite far from midosuji line to hotel. By the way staffs are helpful and friendly even so some of them can not speak well english. It's valuable price for me. And I've got a big bed, it's the most I like in this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights as a base in Osaka when visiting friends. Although we'd heard Japanese rooms and beds were small this room was absolutely fine for our stay and we never felt confined. The double bed was really comfortable and the free wi-fi access helped us plan our days when venturing out of Osaka. There was only a very small […] area for hanging clothes, but if you don't pack too heavily there is room for cases on the floor to keep clothes in. The bathroom was also compact however was more than adequate and the shower was really powerful. The room contained a fridge, hairdryer, robes and slippers as well as complimentary toiletries. The hotel is based between two tube stations and each is a 5-10 minute walk. Although the surrounding area is a little outside of the main centre of Osaka, when venturing outside of the hotel turn left and walk 5 minutes until you reach an undercover arcade, by walking down here you reach central Osaka (Namba and Shinsaibashi areas) where there is a multitude of shops and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially for the very reasonable city-centre price we paid for our stay. Read more

We stayed here for two weeks during October, serving as a base to visit the rest of Osaka, Kyoto and surrounds. It's about a 5 minute walk to the station, and a 2-3 minute walk to the nearest convenience store. The staff were always very friendly (even when we wanted to check out at 5am to travel to our next destination) and always willing to help us […] out in every way. The room we stayed (semi-double non-smoking) was decent sized and always clean and the bed was actually not as small as I was expecting! Most japanese budget hotels (including the one where I'm writing this review from) barely have enough room to walk once your suitcases are on the ground, but Chisun-Inn was surprisingly well sized. There is a teppanyaki restaurant just downstairs, however we never got around to trying them out. They provide the room service if you want (decent prices for room service ~1000yen for a meal set) Also a five minute walk away was the beginning of the shinsaibashi shopping strip and then ten minutes further along shinsaibashi strip was dotonburi, together making up some of the best food you'll find in Osaka. Having such great food so close to the hotel (there are lots of places that close at 4-5am, maybe even some 24hr ones) is always a plus! Overall highly enjoyable hotel stay, I wouldn't hesitate to choose them again the next time I'm in Osaka! Read more

Not the biggest hotel in Osaka (10 floors) but not the most expensive one either. The room was well maintained and of a resonable size for Japan. Free wired broadband was also included. Located 5-10 minutes walk from Nagahoribashi subway station and close to the shoppping arcades of Shinsaibashi.
