stayed for 5 nights with my gf and thought it was great. if I have to pick anything bad, probably the location (but that's the price u pay for exclusivity). Good value for $ definitely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel for Kamala Beach"
Cape Sienna is a nicely situated hotel on the hill but within walking distance from the Kamala beach and the shops and restaurants there. The hotel itself is very good with spa, bars and restaurants and a lovely poolside area. The rooms over look the sea from a balcony and the view is perfect. The service is very good and the rooms come with a shower […] gel that you can choose from 4 scents. Recommended! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice modern hotel, but doesn't have local charm"
This hotel reminds me of nice apartment building in Miami Beach. The ambiance of the hotel was modern, but it seems new and that the hotel decoration and paths between different sections of the hotel hasn't been well decorated yet. It does have an amazing pool area with a beautiful view of the ocean. Food was just OK, but we didn't expect too much here. […] The decor was not local and interesting enough. It looks a bit sterile, like a modern apartment building in Miami Beach, but not an ambience spa resort in Thailand. Service was friendly, room was clean, as expected of a 4 star. Location was a bit off, but you get the beautiful view in return, but only 10 min walk to the beach, so it's not a big deal. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"From my senses and just me alone"
What were good: the spa promo, the various happy hour promos at outlets, the comfy bed, the view, the great fresh coffee served at breakfast buffet, the gym. What could be improved: the limited seating capacity / frequency of the hotel shuttle service to patong beach & kamala beach, the cleanliness overall in room and hotel to match its brand name and […] view, the hotel staff provided ok service but one can easily sense they weren't practically warm or take pride in their jobs per se. Overall overview is 'Good venue for a well rested vacation!' Lastly 4 points to highlight to the hotel management: (1) the tom yum goong served at poolside was a big disappointment, pathetic small portion of tiny prawns that weren't fresh and some were even headless or tailless, worse with MSG! I was so thirsty thereafter and my backache was a good tell tale after a MSG laden meal. (2) the housekeeping cleaning staff were a tad too loud at the corridor with their voices and movements, I was in need of a late sleep-in when holidaying. (3) the little daily newsletter is an excellent idea, keep it up! (4) perhaps to explore and further look into solo travelers' needs, it could be a good market for your beautiful resort :) Anyhow, I am certain that will be back again! "Great Location! Quiet and relaxed"
WOW! Stayed here for 3 nights after a 5 night stay in Patong, and it was a welcomed changed. The taxi fare from Patong to Kamala is a standard zone charge of 400 Baht. The hotel staff greeted us with a sweet refreshing drink and cold fresh hand towels. The property is beautiful and has all the facilities you need. There is a pool by the bar and restaurant, […] and my favourite, the Sienna Rocks Infinity pool by the beach. Rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The food and drinks at the hotel are of a reasonable price. We had fabulous tapas and cocktails at sunset at the Vanilla Skybar at the hotel. There is an airport shuttle to Kamala Beach at 10am pick up at 4pm and Patong at 4.30 with a pickup at 10pm. Otherwise there is a taxi stand just out the front of the hotel. Kamala beach is a short 10-15min walk, and a much quieter beach compared to Patong. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for kids. Buffet bfast was good. I loved my stay here and welcomed the quieter more relaxed change. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very good hotel with quality facilities and friendly staff, set high on the hill near Kamala beach (10 min walk).Genuine Expedia guest review
Cape sienna was a beautiful place, amazing views. A place to truly get away and relax. It's more of a hotel that you spend more time in to relax then to travel around as it's a 15-20 Min drive from the business of patong, but in that sense I think that's what makes it so nice, relaxing and a great place to 'get away'Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel with view to die for!"
When you enter the lobby you see a view of the ocean makes you feel like you are in the clouds. 360 degree views and feeling the breeze from this open elevated area is gorgeous. Similarly the pool bar and has similar "to die for" views. If you are lucky enough to have a 6th floor ocean view room like we had, then you can still enjoy this beautiful view. A […] 10 min stroll downhill will take you to a couple of restaurants at the end of the street, another 10 minute will get you to kamala beach with more shops and restaurants... We felt safe walking back at nights. Only real negative for me is the hilly walk back to hotel and the many steep steps to climb back to our room, so not the best place to stay if you are unfit or elderly. This is very beautiful hotel with beautiful scenery. I am very much enjoy stay. Sunset view is unforgettable .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Had a nice few days in the Cape Sienna in Rainy September, fantastic views both sides of the Hotel, A modern Hotel built into a cliff, good restaurants and bars, but as they are quite pricey we saw most residents eating down the Rd a little as we did. Fantastic little water front property next door to Rocketpool (expensive) with great cocktails and […] equally as good food. Much Happier with my Pitcher of Mohitos for the same price as one in The Sienna. We had moved down the coast a little for a change of scenerary from Surin Beach, which we found was a much nicer resort, Surin had a much cleaner Beach as Kamala was litter strewn, crazy really as the country relies so heavily on tourism, a small team working the beach would make the place visually nicer. Would i go again yes, but they need wifi in the rooms in these days of the interweb, painful doing research in the lobby and teens cannot do without speaking to partners and friends. Arrived late at night, we were warmly greeted with welcome drinks and were able to choose the scent for our amenities in our bathroom. The next morning we went for breakfast, the selection was huge and views are amazing. Hotel facilities were clean and the pool areas were perfect, especially sienna rocks on the cliff face. Hand written notes were left […] on our beds with a oil burner that was lit in the afternoon these were personal little touches we didn't expect. Only negative- taxis in the area set prices high and we were told by hotel staff that if we organised for a company to pick us up the taxi stand at the hotel entrance that is not affiliated with the hotel would not allow others to pick us up. "Overall good, but was disappointed somewhat..."
We wanted a peaceful and quiet holiday and picked this hotel because it says "no kids under 12 allowed". However on our 3rd day when we went to the restaurant for breakfast, we came upon groups of China Chinese families with young kids and they were everywhere! We asked the managment about it and was told they do have a no kids under 12 policy, HOWEVER […] for this month only (August 2013), they were doing a promotion and allowed kids! If I had known in advance when I made my booking, I would not have stayed at Cape Sienna. I wished the hotel had posted an announcement in advance on their website, then I won't feel so cheated. OVERALL - the hotel is very clean, very peaceful (except for the kids saga). The rooms were cleaned everyday and they provided fresh towels and made the beds daily, which was a VERY nice touch and the Spa is excellent!!! To other travellers - do check with hotel if they suddenly decide to sell their rooms to families during off-peak season before you book. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed for two weeks during the low season, breakfast was included in our package. It was a huge breakfast spread. We paid a little extra for the jucuzzi in our room with a sea view. It was a nice addition to relax at the end of a busy day. Hotel had all things we needed, food and spa were a little over priced but to be expected from a 5 star hotel. […] The hotel itself is in Kamala Beach, it is a bit far from night life and night markets. 500 baht for a cab ride to Patong. They have one free shuttle bus to take you to Patong at 4:30pm and pick you up again at 10pm but fills fast, only holds 12. Kamala Beach is a little quieter but great for those who are looking to reconnect or relax with friends or lovers. Although it states that no children under 12 were allowed, while our vacation there were a few children around the hotel at different times - maybe cause it was low season, not sure.We stayed for two weeks during the low season, breakfast was included in our package. "Another Phuket Holiday"
best hotel we have stayed at while holidaying in Phuket. We hired a car so able to park although not too many car park spaces but we had no problem. Great view from all areas over Kamala Bay with no power lines blocking view. Staff excellent and very prompt. Food good but a bit pricey but for a 5 star this is ok. A little bit pedantic on checking bar […] fridge re whether I opened a bottle of water (which I didn't) and in fact left them some water I purchased at 711. My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Cape Sienna. The resort itself is brilliant, the staff are amazing and the view is out of this world !Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed in the hotel for 5 nights in early July. This hotel is all about the views, absolutely spectacular, both pools and restaurants all look out over the Andaman Sea, beautiful sunsets and is really relaxing. The hotel itself is very nice, our only comment would be that it is slightly isolated, it is about a 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants […] which is not a huge issue, but if you just wanted to go somewhere to eat quickly then it could become an issue. Also if you are looking for a typical Thai experience then this hotel is not for you, it is ultra modern and could be a hotel anywhere in the world. We just spent 5 nights at cape sienna after spending a week in patong. We had an amazing stay it was a great change from the hectic patong. If you're looking to be in the center of the action, this is NOT the right place. If you're happy to get away from the crowds and escape into a beautiful place with a fantastic view than this IS the place to stay. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly and accommodated every request. Forget about the "Taxi Mafia" drama's — it just means you pay […] an extra 100 baht to head out of the hotel; that's only around ~$3.50AUD anyway. "Cape Sienna - Best Value For Money"
Cape Sienna is arguably the best value-for-money destination in the Kamala Beach/Surin District. Easy 30 minute taxi to/from airport for 700baht. This is a modern hotel with clinical architecture and and excellent standard of accomodation and facilities for the $$$s. Best buy the breakfast-included room rate - comprehensive quality buffet will set you […] up for the day. The views are unbeatable from rooms, breakfast diner, pool, sunbake, restaurants and Sienna Rocks oceanfront pool. Most rooms are closer to 5-star than 4. Power cables are a problem with some rooms and traffic from road below may be a problem for noise-sensitive at times. Avoid this with upper level rooms. Food quality and price is outstanding for a 4.5-star hotel. Service is good in most areas. Specialty nights and dinners can offer good value - select carefully. Terrific 'lagoon table' dining available in Plum Rest - reserve early and choose from the A la Carte menu for best value with I-Pad menus.. Vanilla Sky great for drinks and snacks. Poolside standard fare and drinks very reasonable. Although quite new, hotel is showing wear in some areas and lacks maintenance and odour control in some areas. Staff were excellent and helped resolve all issues quickly - mainly caused by terrible expedia organisation, service and support. We've already booked our next (couple) holiday and are looking at a Villa for the Family,.Excellent destination for business people and conferences too.Rates are quite negotiable. "Nice hotel...but some peculiar practises."
Overall, it was a good stay. All rooms faced the sea, so you'll get a sea view. We were on the 3rd floor, so the view was pretty good. Cleanliness and service wise, the hotel was good as well. A couple of things which was not so good...1) the jacuzzi had a wall beside it, to block out prying eyes, but it also meant that while soaking in the jacuzzi, […] you could not have a view. 2) the long walk down hill to the shopping/food area takes about 10mins, and coming back up the hill was tough, but good exercise. Not advisable for older folk, and people who have difficulty walking. 3) The hotel had a policy of not allowing guests the opportunity of booking an external tour, and having the tour bus pick you up from the front of the hotel. As such, we had to walk down to the little shopping/food area to take the tour. This was confirmed to me by the tour agent, and a taxi driver. Besides this, the overall stay at the hotel was good. Very little to criticise about cape sienna. A wonderful experience. However the housekeeping staffs could have been more attentive to our needs. My room had an unwelcomed guest 'cockroach'. It took the housekeeping staff forever to attend to us. In fact they did not, my husband and me decided to leave our room and not wait for them. Hotel staffs did […] a fantastic check in which created a very good first impression. The pool was alittle disappointing though because it was so small. "An Amazing Stay - Well Recommended"
My girlfriend and I stayed at Cape Sienna after a recommendation from another friend of ours, who spent a week at the hotel. We'd seen pictures and were very much excited by the views possible from the general pool area and Sienna Rocks area. Both views did not disappoint. Pools were however very small, which is the only drawback. More importantly, […] we loved the sea view studio we booked. Though the view was blocked by the premium villas below, we could see a little window of sea up to the horizon with two chairs and a table on the balcony, with a fan above, to enjoy the January warmth and occasional sea breeze floating in. The room itself was superbly comfortable, with a bed you could spend all day and all night in if you so desired. The air conditioning worked well, the room was simply but elegantly furnished, and you have a choice of normal or overhead waterfall-styled shower. Service at the hotel was also very pleasant, with smiles from the staff and little touches like a little card and orchid on the bed in the evenings wishing you good night. One night, when we'd gotten back late from the town area, we even found that they'd turned the air-conditioning on for us, making the room a joy to come back to. The Kamala area is quiet, with not much to occupy yourself with though so you're better off taking a taxi/tuktuk to the Patong area. Kamala beach itself has water sports and many sunbeds, if you're not interested in venturing out. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
