"Close to subway and a place to rest your head"
It was only a block from the subway but not a nice or scenic walk. The bathroom needed a good cleaning with some mold on the ceiling and a nasty smell coming from the floor grate. The room itself was clean and checked for bed bugs without any that we could find. There were no comforters which was weird but we asked for them and they provided. The breakfast […] was nothing special but enough to fill up the family. If you have a truck or minivan, forget about getting into the parking lot. I almost got stuck trying to get in and out...seriously millimeters from scraping against the cement. Needed to have my sister get out and guide me in and out. Other option is parking your car on the street in the scary neighborhood with parking restrictions. I don't think for the price that I could have found a better hotel though. My bed and room was clean and that was my main concern. The staff let someone cut in front of me at checkin for some reason but she did let me into an upgraded room at no charge because my room was not available which was a nice surprise. They also have a fridge in every room! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Had A Good Stay"
Good location to get to Manhattan. Good price. Rooms had everything we needed - fridge, coffee maker, iron, TV - and were clean. Staff were very friendly, efficient and welcoming. Negatives would be the advertised wifi was only intermittently working in the room and then was so slow as to be pretty much unusable. Also the breakfast room was absurdly […] small for the full hotel - there was nowhere to sit! Ended up having to take breakfast back to our room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The location is not bad close to subway and on bus line. The staff was friendly. The hot breakfast was not hot at 8am and there was no where to sit to eat. They stated free wi-fi in rooms and I never could get on. The hotel was clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, Convenient, Cheap"
This hotel is located less than a minute from the F subway line and a 5-10 minute walk to the 7 subway line so it is very convenient! It is also located next to the Queensbridge Housing projects so the surrounding area is not that great for food the only good place is by the 7 subway line called Lucky Pizza (by far the best pizza I had in NY) that delivers […] to the hotel or you can walk to. "consider other options before staying here"
I love New York, but am always dismayed by the cost of hotels in the city. We opted to stay here for one night before leaving on a trip. It's in the middle of an industrial zone, and while the staff was friendly and attentive, the room left much to be desired. It was cramped, the carpets worn and dirty, and the bathroom ceiling had mold. To make matters […] worse, the toilet clearly had not been cleaned (there was hair on it) prior to our stay, and the floor was littered with peanuts (yes, peanuts). Had we not arrived late in the evening, we would have requested a change of room. The linens were new and clean, though, and the room was quiet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"NICE TWO NIGHTS. BUT WE WISHED THE ROOM BIGGER."
I think this hotel with this range of price is good. We had two good nights here. But we wish the room bigger so that we will be more comfortable. The breakfast was great.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Quick access to Manhattan"
The stay was great! Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. Very close to the F train metro station that takes you right into the touristy areas of Manhattan. The neighborhood wasn't the safest (fine during the day, avoid walking around past midnight) and legal parking was somewhat difficult to find. "nice hotel but neighborhood dicey"
I basically liked the hotel--quiet, clean, decent breakfast, nice staff, and the price was very good, but a long hike through an industrial district with no street traffic to get to anything other than the F subway line. NYPD has set up a mobile observation tower to oversee the public housing next door so at least the walk to the F train, which is just […] a couple of blocks, is safe. It's also not convenient (more than a mile walk and $10 cab ride to the many good Long Island City restaurants. Also, internet wasn't really working during most of my stay, though the helpful staff assured me that this was temporary. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Very nice room and surprised to find a jacussi in the room. Excellent, allowed me to jump in a relax. Great continental breakfast.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable, comfortable, quiet hotel"
We stayed for 5 nights in the hotel to be in the area for my sons' move. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was pleasant. Each morning we had the complimentary breakfast. The selections were cereal, pancakes, eggs, yogurt, bagels, donuts, toast, juices and coffee. It was nice because the staff was constantly refilling the breakfast items when they […] were empty. The breakfast area is busiest from 9-10 AM, so go earlier if you can. The only somewhat negative about the hotel is the area where it is located. Seems like an industrial area, but we had no trouble getting a cab. Overall it met our needs, not luxury, but clean, comfortable, quiet and affordable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel conveniently located."
Very accommodating; Nice room size and clean. Will stay again in the future if needed. Having yellow cabs always accessible especially late at night made it very easy to get to the city and back instead of relying on the subway and slower service.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Parking is BS"
If you want to stay here for the parking don't bother, there are about 10 parking spots for the hotel, they fill up fast and then you will have to street park your car in the ghetto. the subway is close by but don't walk from there to the hotel at night. the night staff at the hotel is rude and unhelpful. day staff was nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable stay in NYC"
This is hotel is perfect for a basic NYC stay. I was not too thrilled with all the subway changes by the Queensbridge stop, but I guess that's the MTA's fault and not the hotels.Genuine Expedia guest review

"So much better than we expected!"
We chose this Best Western because it fit our budget and was very near a subway entrance. If we come to NYC again, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! The decor was updated, the front desk staff was great, the room, though a little small, was neat, clean, and had updated furniture. I expected a motel feel, so was happy it was above that. We also were […] surprised that the view from our 10th floor window was fantastic! Manhattan skyline. I give it one low mark, and that was that there weren't nearly enough tables for breakfast. Everyone hovering, waiting to nab a table as soon as anyone looked close to leaving. Overall, was greatly relieved that we found a decent place at a decent price. "Nice hotel, close to subway!"
We loved the convenience of hopping on the subway. Parking was tight, but probably expected. We were bummed we prebooked another hotel, that we couldn't cancel, wish we would have stayed here our entire trip.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very good hotel for the price"
One night stay was very good. room, lobby, elevator and breakfast room was very clean and front desk staff was nice. The only problem is this hotel is not near any subway system but yellow cab is available. Overall the price is very good for what you get. Breakfast is better than other hotels of this kind.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Really nice hotel and people too but bad neighborhood. We came on subway at day so it was ok but I don't recommend coming here with subway at night. Everything else was great, free breakfast, free wi fi, even computers with free internet, comfy beds... It's a great place to stay and close to Manhattan. Easy access to the F train to Manhattan. Near the Noguchi Museum, a little known treasure. Friendly and helpful staff. Good value for a NYC stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Everyone was polite and helpful. However, I was disappointed that I could not get any wifi connection. Either my room, 304 was too far away, or the "Too many users" kept popping up. This kept me from doing certain work items. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good value for money"
I found this hotel to be very good value for money considering that NY is extremely expensive. The subway is just down the street (0ne block) and from there it is straight to Rockefeller Center (probably 20 min) I have two problems with this hotel (1) the hotel is about $20 taxi fare from La Guardia and $52 from JFK. That last one hurts.(2)Also,no […] restaurants around that area.Make sure that you eat before you return to the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close to Manhattan"
The hotel is new and the amenities are good. We were there just after the hurricane and during the snow. The staff was mostly temporary, so the daily cleaning of rooms was sporatic and incomplete. The breakfast is solid and tasty. The staff are friendly. Best of all it is so close to Manhattan you can be there in ten minutes. The neighborhood looks […] scary, but we are two old ladies and we walked everywhere in the neighborhood and only met with kindness and helpfulness. Many good small restaurants about six to eight blocks east and north. We loved the fried chicken on the corner with the metro stop. Lots of good value. Mostly fun foreign tourists at the hotel. Nice play to stay. A perfect place if you're not wanting a fancy place in NYC and just need a place to sleep. Very convenient to the subway entrance to go straight into Manhattan. Would easily stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Reasonable rates for a New York stay. We especially liked the gentlemen who was stocking up the breakfast items and maintaining a smooth operation while dealing with a full house guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was our fourth stay in this very reasonably priced hotel. Although the surrounding area is economically depressed, we have never had any problems or unpleasantness, and in terms of of convenient access to subway service to Manhattan--a one-block walk and a five minute ride, it is excellent. "No Parking at the INN"
They have very limited parking. When I tried to get into the underground parking the door was down. I used the speaker and they said it was full. "A fancy feel for less"
The room and bathroom were clean and modern and comfortable. Not at all the environment of a "cheap hotel" even though it actually was affordable. The staff were extremely helpful with directions, information, subway tips and attraction discounts. DISLIKES Breakfast is kind of a nightmare. The area was way too crowded, not enough seats or room for people […] to eat or get their food. Although, it was well stocked. The elevators are packed and slow during the rush hour's in the morning. "Great Hotel for the money and proximity to NYC"
The hotel was very nice, clean and accommodating. The biggest difficulty was parking; but that is a problem everywhere in NYC, so the fact that there was the possibility of free parking was nice. "Walk to the transit station"
The hotel was decent, the breakfast in the morning was good. The bad thing about this hotel is the parking that they provide to their guests. "Inexpensive Adequate NYC Accommodations"
Reasonably-priced hotel two blocks from a subway station with a ten-minute ride to Times Square. Could not get wi-fi working on my laptop (which works in every other hotel we have visited). Could not print a page from the Business Center computers, but the front desk managed a work-around for us. Breakfast room was overcrowded, so we had to take our […] "breakfasts" to our room. "Not what was expected"
I chose this hotel because it had parking. No parking was available and I had to park on the street. "Clean, nice and quiet rooms."
Nice hotel, quiet, clean. There is a grocery store just 50 feet away and two supermarkets a couple of blocks away. There are a lot of food delivery stores, however, most of them are not the good ones, you don't know how you will feel next day. The subway F is just one block away. If you are lucky you will have a view, far view, of manhattan, including […] the Empire Estate. At the night is not a nice area, you can walk, there are cops and it is safe, but is not nice.
