"better accomodations for your money"
I stayed here for 5 days the rooms you pay for may not be what you actually end up with there is no memory foam mattress topper on the beds as advertised and i paid for larger room wasnt given what i paid for the hotel was completely booked so couldnt make changes i paid for a triple room so i would have more square footage when they found out that […] there would only be 2 people in a triple they gave me a double room less sq footage . beware of the tours booked through hotel they only take cash and charge by the hour for the guide book your tours with the Vatican or Colosseum through their web sites direct you will save money and the colosseum offers a special tour of the underground that you cant do with any one else . but I wasnt offered any of this info through hotel learned it after taking the hotel tours that there is a huge difference. watch the bar charges they are not listed and very overpriced. I would find another property next time i go to rome. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel near the Spanish Steps"
The hotel's interior was classy and clean. The location was superb with friendly staff. Since the hotel was tucked away in a quiet beautiful ally away from the busy streets of Rome, I had the pleasure of relaxing after a long day of sightseeing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location Near the Spanish Steps & Good value"
Rome is a costly city. This hotel provided a good value in a desirable neighborhood. The standard rooms are small (slightly bigger than a double bed) but very clean and have private ensuite bathrooms. The breakfast contains fresh juices, pastries, yogurts and cheeses. The hotel is in a historic building that contains a different hotel on each floor. […] There is a historic style elevator adjacent to the stairs and Hotel Manfredi is on the 3rd floor. We stayed at Hotel Monfredi for 4 nights in October 2014. If you don't care for fancy lobby, this is a place for you. Location, Location, Location: The location is awesome...literally two blocks from the Spanish steps and Metro station. You can enjoy all the shops and eatery within going too far. Besides, all the major sites were within walking distance. […] The hotel staffs were extremely friendly, especially the ones served us breakfast. We witnessed the staff bringing breakfast to one of the guest's room when the person was not feeling well. This was exceptional. The breakfast was very good. We stayed on the 2nd floor and our room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern as well. We will definitely go back to Hotel Monfredi when we visit Rome next week. "Excellent location, wonderful staff."
The hotel was ideally located right near the Spanish Steps and the Spagna Metro station, which allowed easy access to all of Rome. The staff was excellent - helpful, pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Our room was a "Small Double Room," and it was EXTREMELY small, though clean and well appointed. This didn't matter much to us, but be forewarned […] if you need more room. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A Nice Surprise!"
We had a great family vacation to Rome. Unexpectedly the hotel was one of the highlights. We love the suite, which is very roomy, and has a high class traditional deco with a modern twist. The staff are very helpful. And we love the breakfast there. On top of all these, it is very conveniently located. What a charming little boutique hotel in the heart […] of Rome. Highly recommended. "Perfect location for seeing Rome."
If you want to stay in a hotel that really gives you the flavor of Rome, the proximity to restaurants, shopping, sightseeing and more, then stay here. It is a small boutique hotel with excellent service very near the Spanish Steps. Breakfast was great everyday. The staff was pleasant and helpful at all times and spoke enough English that we were not […] struggling. This was our first time traveling abroad and we were far, far out of our comfort zone. But after a day of sightseeing, we would come back to a place that made us feel welcome and at home. The only issue we had was that the beds and pillows were very hard, by our standards. We bought some soft pillows and the hotel staff helped us fine a department store to do so. They gave us directions, called cars for us, helped us find stores we needed and asked how our day was! It seemed they were truly interested in making sure we had a good time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Hotel Manfredi Suite is an exquisite gem of a hotel. "Hotel Manfredi makes roaming Rome marvelous"
Visited Rome over Easter weekend in April with family and selected Hotel Manfredi due to other user reviews and its location to a nearby McDonalds. This latter point was due to the fact we were traveling with my two teenage sons who had never been to Europe before. Thanks to the engaged staff at the Hotel Manfredi my sons enjoyed better meals than Big […] Macs as the staff steered us to delightful eateries and restaurants -- in addition to the great breakfast that the hotel offered every morning. Location of hotel, just a short walk from Spanish Steps, puts you in the center of Rome's shopping and within walking distance to all the major sites. "AWESOME HOTEL IN THE PERFECT LOCATION!!!!"
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!! I can't say enough great things about our stay at this hotel. It's on a little side street just around the corner (5 min walk) from the Spanish Steps, Metro, and several very good restaurants. Your within a 15 min walk of the Trevvi Fountain and probably another 15 min from there to the Pantheon. Metro takes you anywhere […] you want to go in Rome Roberta and Alisandro were very accommodating, friendly, and we didn't think twice about leaving our bags behind on the day we checked out early in order to catch Mass with the Pope during holy week. Breakfast was outstanding, great spread of fruit, pastries, eggs, and meats. Due to our early departure, Alisandro took the time out of his normal duties to make us coffee and provided food/pastries to ensure we had eaten before we left for the Vatican. Rooms are small by American standards, but hey you're not in America right? Our room and bath were immaculate each day upon our return and the beds were very very comfortable. "Very nice hotel."
Staff made the stay worth while, they are very polite and helpful at all times. Example: They normally don't have breakfast ready until 0730 hrs, but the prepared at 0600 hrs because they were aware we had an early tour. They called our tour company for us and confirmed our tours. Rooms were cleaned daily and they were very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A nice room tucked away in the shopping district"
The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. The best part about the hotel was the breakfast staff. We started every morning of our eight night stay with the complimentary breakfast. There is a male attendant who took pride in creating the perfect atmosphere for the guests. The concierge were eager to assist us with our questions. We were afraid […] the room would be too small, especially from the pictures we've seen. We opted for the Superior room. It was perfectly laid out, with enough room to feel comfortable. Another major plus was that Manfredi has memory foam mattresses. We were concerned about bed comfort with which ever hotel we picked since that can really affect the experience of a trip. Manfredi's bed was firm and provided a great night's sleep each night. The hotel is nice in that it is tucked away from the busyness of the shopping district. There are always some down sides to wherever someone might stay. Some can be helped and others are outside of the hotel's control. While the concierge were very happy to help us, their suggestions for dining did not go out of the neighborhood even when we asked. The area is great for late night since there are plenty of places still open until midnight along via Delle Croce. Unfortunately, all of the peddlers stay out that late as well. Expect to be repeatedly offered roses, annoyingly squeaky toys, and scarves to and from the hotel. In summary, for the price and location, I highly suggest Hotel Manfredi. "Excellent location and room - Great Value"
I have found this using TripAdvisor, according to previous feedback I have ordered the superior room (not the regular) since it was told the rooms are very small. The room is small but more than enough for a couple in Rome. Good bed, clean TV (which we never used), safe with power converter to charge your devices while inside (my laptop say thanks!) […] wifi which we did use - its the kind you need a browser to enter a password for but it's not a problem. We enjoyed the breakfast which was rich enough (excellent fresh cut fruits was a real treat!!). we are from Isreal so all our 2-pin chargers worked perfectly with the Italian funny 3-pin socket (* * *). There are two special "iniversal" 3 pin sockets one in the safe and another in the bathroom. Always had hot water with great flow (wife has very long hair that needs good stream :)). The staff was very helpful and kind willing to help with anything - really felt like a home away from home. The Hotel is a floor in a building at the corner of Via Margutta very close to Spangia Sq. and the Metro in the area of many stores and restaurants so we could not ask for better location. We came from the airport by train to Termini (14Euro each) and metro - line A only 3 stops (1.5 euro each). We didn't bother to take a cap since it was very easy and we packed light (5 nights). I gave 4 stars to the room since the shower which was very sophisticated (had hand shower, top shower and side jets) did not budge but the hand shower was great. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We stayed at this hotel for 6 days on our babymoon Nov 14-19, 2013. No complaints - we knew we would have a small and basic room because we chose the least expensive option. We were happy that despite being small, it was very nice, clean and modern. We suggested to the hotel that they add a little variety to the breakfast, since it is the same spread […] each day. "Bravo, Hotel Manfredi!"
I loved this hotel. We booked two rooms for a family vacation (one room for my husband and I, and one for my parents). The hotel is just a few blocks from the Spanish Steps and Via Condotti (Rome's "Rodeo Drive" type shopping), and very walkable to other sights such as Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc. Generally, staying so near the tourist […] attractions means the hotel may be noisy, etc. However, Hotel Manfredi is on a quiet, ivy-covered cobble street behind all the action, so it's very quiet and an oasis just a few blocks from all the commotion. The hotel staff (Alessandro and Fredo, especially) were extremely helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was lovely. The rooms are freshly updated in traditional, opulent Roman decor, and small but totally maneuverable (unlike some European hotels that are akin to cruise ship cabins). A/C worked great despite 100 degree temps. The only "con" would be that, because the hotel is located in high-end shopping/tourist district, many of the nearby restaurants are pricey. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"excellent location and top-notch service"
Hotel staff are warm and friendly - very helpful. Location near Spanish Steps is perfect for shopping and walking to historic sights and taxis stands. Good restaurants also nearby. "Nearly A Perfect Location / Excellent Hotel Staff"
The location is only 3 blocks from the Spanish Steps surrounded by very nice restaurants and excellent shopping. Be aware of the guys selling you (they start off by giving you) roses. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a renovated theater. They did an amazing job making this a very nice place to stay. For Americans, the room is small and the shower even […] smaller, but this is traditional for Europe and the rooms are very nicely laid out. Breakfast is included and you may ask for cooked to order eggs and or omelets. The buffet offers plenty including fresh made yogurt. Oh funny thing, the breakfast sausage is really a bad hot dog. The beds and pillows were not as comfortable as I would have enjoyed, but they are nice. On a personal note, we bought a two day hop on hop off bus pass thinking it would be easy to get around and back and forth from our hotel. Wrong, bad idea. A cap ride to the Vatican was 8 Euro and to the Coleseum it was 7 Euro. Take a cab. IF your on the fence about this location, be comfortable knowing it will serve you well. Safe neighborhood, great amenities and nice location make this a good bet. The staff puts it over the top! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This hotel is small and tucked away in a beautiful setting. It also has a great staff. The rooms were very comfortable and large. Close […] to Spanish steps, and you can walk to most locations (i.e. St. Peters, Vatican, Pantheon, etc.). "Best Place In Rome- 6Star in our book"
From arriving at the door, the staff was accomodating. They came downstairs and brought our bags up to the 3rd floor hotel... The lobby was nice and air conditioning throughout was pleasant. Response by Hotel Manfredi Suite in Rome Dear Guest, The Hotel Manfredi is situated the city center and nearby is full of excellent restaurants of Roman cuisine and high fashion shops, as well as being in the heart of the city where everything is within walking distance: Piazza di Spagna, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Galleria Borghese, Colosseo, Roman Forum, Piazza Navona, the Vatican and much more. The breakfast are complitely home made by our pastry chef that she do every day several type of cake. Thanks for have been our gust and i hope that you can come back as soon as you can. Best Regards
"Will not stay there again!"
close to the spanish steps but that was really of no significance since you could walk everywhere or take a cab at the corner by the spanish steps. For 6 or 7 euro you can take a cab anywhere which is better and cheaper that the red or green lines which stop runing at 7.00 pm and cost 20 euros per person and you are kept waiting at the bus stop most […] of the time. Manfredi comode is a donut shap/not comfortable for americans and takes several flushes to clear. Hotel is on the 2 and 3 floor/different hotel on the 1 floor/and an ancient elevator to take you up and down. Interesting and fun but the whole hotel is oversold and glossed up on the photos. Their master suite is a standard room in the US. Staff was friendly and room was kept clean. Response by Hotel Manfredi Suite in Rome Dear Guest thanks for choosing us for your trip to Rome. The Hotel Manfredi is in the heart of Rome in via margutta one of the most beautiful and fascinating of Italy and then the world. The area is very quiet and traffic-free, quiet and well maintained the hotel is housed in a building of the end of 1700 and is a true work of art, covered with climbing plants and of course the sizes of the rooms follow the European standards. You probably have the newer buildings and the rooms are different. Ours are made with Italian material and equipped with high quality and you for the service that is offered to our guests is really hard to find in other facilities. Best Regards
