We only stayed for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The bungalows are lovely and in my opinion more romantic than the large reef hotel. Hamilton Island was the highlight of our Australia tour and Palm Bungalows was the perfect base. We loved the independence of being in our own chalet and sitting on the deck at sunset was idyllic.

Hamilton island is more of a family resort which we didn't realised prior to booking. However, considering this we found the resort to be clean, friendly and well maintained. Not ideal for couples seeking sheer solitude.

Good location on Hamilton Island. Very basic accommodation but clean on arrival. Only criticism would be the limited servicing of hotel rooms: the young cleaning staff spend a maximum of 5 mins servicing the room and only really change towels - our floor was not swept the entire time we were there and we observed the cleaner wiping dust from the benchtop […] to the floor with one swipe of her hand ... missing half of it and not even using a cloth! We were lucky enough to be up-graded to the Reef Hotel on the 15th floor (Coral View Room) we could not fault the staff there, what we liked was been able to spend the morning swimming and having the departure shower amenities to use before heading home & flying out ithat afternoon, great!

Comfortable accomodataion, require's renovating although the bed was fantastic. Early morning loud music from the gymnasium totally ruined the experience. Fantastic island, will definetly return but not at this accomodation.

Comfortable, clean and central to the island activities. The 'non-updated' bungalows are old and outdated, but clean. If you're renting a buggy on the island, avoid bungalow 20 - the charging point is essentially unreachable.

Got an upgrade to the 18th Floor of reef View apartments which was fantastic! The only problem for me was that, Although I don't mind paying premium when i stay on Hamilton Island, I believe the quality should come with it. i.e Cocktails, food and service.

The bungalows are obviously quite old now and could do with a reform to bring them up to date. The cleanliness of the room definitely needs to be improved. There was a thick layer of dust all round the edges of the floor and on the windows in the bathroom. We complained but it remained the same. Hamilton is a very beautiful island. We visited for a family wedding which was absolutely wonderful. Accommodation in general needs to be updated to keep in line with world standards. However I would still holiday there anytime.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at Palm Bungalows, Hamilton Is. and the paid/included Activities associated with my stay. However, it needs to be said that the food was very average and extremely expensive in the resort and on the Island overall (a captive audience ?) - even at the 'convenience store'.

This was the cheapest accomodation we could find on Hamilton Island. It doesn't provide the luxury of some of the other hotels/apartments around and about or the spectacular views but, if you're after cheap and cheerful (which is almost impossible on "Hamo") this is it. Luxury and spectacular views are however only minutes away and you still get the […] cockatoo's visiting and other wildlife spottings from the comfort of your hammock such as owls, cuckaburra's and bats here. The walk up to the bungalows is a bit steep so if you struggle with up hill walking you may want to factor in the additional expense of golf buggy hire to the cost of stay but, we had no problems and it is only a 5 min walk to the free bus shuttle on the island. Nous avions retenu Palm bungalow et avons été "surclassés" au Reef view hotel. Si le bâtiment de l'extérieur est laid, très confortable à l'intérieur, chambre immense, vue sur la baie exceptionnelle très bon petit déjeuner vraiment complet et varié, belle piscine, plage à 30 mètres, wi fi gratuit dans le hall, navettes toutes les 10 mn pour faire le […] tour de l'ile, aller à l'aeroport ou au golf. I bungalows […] sono tutti ordinatissimi e accessoriati con cucina (lavello, fornelli elettrici e frigorifero) per cucinare in casa in caso in cui non si abbiamo voglia di cenare fuori. La Marina, che e' il porto principale dell'isola dista solo alcuni minuti a piedi dai Palm Bungalows. In essa e' possibile fare acquisti, fare spesa in un emporio oppure cenare fuori in uno dei ristoranti che fronteggiano il porto. L'isola di Hamilton offre ogni possibilita' di divertimento per gli amanti del mare (escursioni in barca alla grande barriera corallina e a Whiteheven beach) e per gli amanti del trekking con numerosi sentieri nel suo intero che portano a spiagge isolate. Evitare la stagione delle piogge (da Novembre a Maggio) per via delle pericolose meduse Irukandji e dei cicloni. Attenzione: l'isola ha tariffe molto piu' alte della costa ed solo per chi non si pone troppi problemi di budget per una vacanza. Read more

Bungalows carini, alcuni mal tenuti: guarnizioni che perdono, buchi nei muri, muffa sui bordi della doccia...nel complesso sono fatti bene ma i più vecchiotti andrebbero ristrutturati, per il resto tutto perfetto.
