"A weekend in Camas"
The owner, Karen, took good care of us. We had booked through Hotels .com, but the Hotel did not have our reservation. Karen did some calling and found our reservation. She then upgraded our reservation to make up for the problem. I really appreciated the way we were treated.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"beautiful hotel in Camas town"
We stayed for one night in room #3 the honeymoon suite. Jacuzzi is big enough for 2 people. We order champange and had a great relaxation time. complementary breakfast was really good. This place is amazingly beautiful. The owner Karen is super nice and she welcomes you at the time of check in. We had a great dinner at mesa mexican restaurant 2 blocks […] from the hotel. "Nice location, nice hotel & no bathrooms"
No bathrooms in the hotel room. Its like living in the dorms again with a communal bathroom.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Recent Camas Stay"
The hotel is historic and in a great location. Plenty of different restaurants within walking distance. There are no bathrooms within the individual rooms. There is only one shared bathroom and shower for all guests. This was the only down side for me. There were some bugs in the ceiling light that could have been cleaned out. I would recommend the […] hotel for a short stay. The rooms could use some renovation but for nostalgia folks, you will enjoy the stay outside of the bathroom issue. "Modern facelift on Old World charm"
Camas Hotel remains a perfectly charming little old-world style hotel in the heart of "downtown" Camas. The main street has been considerably upgraded over the last few years with an over-abundance of salons and 'trendy' clothing shops. Still quite a few bistros and brew-pubs for evening lounging. The hoteliers are very personable and helpful, even […] helping schlep bags up the old, steep stairs (no lift). Contemporary renovations make the rooms and across-the-hall baths feel quite luxurious for such a reasonable rate. The last great reminder of the old times is the fussy, but overly-efficient radiator. Room was quite warm and toasty for the nite, necessitating keeping a window cracked for some balance and crisp (if a touch fragrant—it is Camas, after all) fresh air. "Charming but very cramped"
Charming European-style hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast in an equally charming indoor patio and superlative guest services. Sole (but major) drawback is the hotel photos do not indicate how VERY small (verging on uncomfortably cramped) the rooms are. We also were not made aware (until after checking out, and reviewing the hotel website) that we were […] entitled to two complimentary tickets for the movie theater down the block during our stay. It would have been nice had the desk clerk thought to mention this perk upon our checking in. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cozy and Quaint"
This is our second time at the Camas Hotel and the first time in a room with a bathroom- which we greatly enjoyed and is worth the price. The room was clean (very small but clean), the bed was extremely comfortable, and I love how the room was decorated. The hotel is quaint and a great break from staying at large commercial hotel chains. We had a nice […] time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Long weekend in Camas"
Despite some of its shortcomings (room size, aged furniture, etc), the Camas Hotel has one huge positive - location. Walking the historic downtown to all the restaurants, shops and brewpubs was terrific fun. The hotel staff also made my stay very enjoyable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable nights sleep"
Comfortable bed, I had a great nights sleep. The room was small and I had a shared bathroom, which was not the best, but I knew that when I booked. The hotel was right on the main street so very convenient. Good restaurant right next door.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The shared bathroom was a surprise, but it was clean. Rooms were comfortable and clean with a nice modern look. Hotel was in the heart of the beautiful downtown Camas, WA. This hotel had great style.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Peaceful getaway spot"
The Camas Hotel is beautifully restored and charming. The rooms are very comfortable and among the cleanest I have seen. I even dropped something behind the radiator and there wasn't so much as a piece of lint on it when I reached under and pulled it out. The revitalization of the Camas Historic District seems to be doing well, and I found the hotel […] and area to be a peaceful, restorative experience. Plus, breakfast every morning included some delicious quiche. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fantastic stay for our Portland trip"
Although Camas is thirty minutes outside of Portland, this place was perfect for us when we came to town for a Broadway show. We were checking in at 11 pm, so the hotel staff graciously left our room key at the front desk for us. The hotel itself is adorable, I loved the decor, quite tasteful and modern. We had a room without a shower/toilet, but the […] shared one was easily accessible, and we never ran in to another person. Our room did have a sink, which was fantastic. The rooms also have a full set of dishes and a fridge! Very thoughtful. Comfy bed, quiet location nestled in an adorable small town main street. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice small hotel in quiet interesting small town"
Relaxing...for the price we paid this was a great value. You have to weigh costs-benefit--it is 2 steps up from Super * but has no AC, common bathroom (in the floor we stayed) No elevator. But the neighborhood is quiet, lots of shops, small non corporate retaurants, grocery store easy walk..common kitchen was clean--with full range, oven etcGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Honeymoon Spot"
Me and my wife honeymooned around the Portland area and found Camas Hotel to be the best value for the trip. What I mean is that it's located in a beautiful, though quiet, area, not too far away from Portland, and the price was very reasonable. The breakfast was also delicious and my Gluten-Free wife has stuff she could eat. There are also really good […] restaurants within walking distance. Overall we loved it. The room size wasn't the biggest but we didn't mind. And the AC unit was finicky, but we managed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint and quiet, worth every penny."
Camas is a small, quiet town and so too is the Camas hotel. The staff was warm and accommodating, and the place has an old world charm that you don't see very often. The rooms are small and euro-styled but sufficient. My suggestion would be to upgrade to a suite to guarantee yourself a bathroom and a/c. I never had to wait for the bathroom during my […] stay, however. I didn't partake in breakfast but it smelled great. No elevator, so luggage can be a pain to get upstairs, but not awful. Parking is a block away, which is annoying but also not awful. Some decent restaurants in town and also a great old theater that shows second run movies and indie films...free tickets given by the hotel based on room type. Great beer joint four doors down with 20 different local craft beers. Overall, a great stay in a unique, family run place that has a warm, inviting atmosphere. "Great hotel, but train is loud"
Only negative thing was that the train woke me up several times at night. Otherwise, wonderful stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not Right For Everyone"
The setting in Camas's historic downtown is inviting, but there are some issues. If you get a room facing the street, you'll hear the rumblings and whistles of freight trains (even past midnight) plus the voices of people in the street. Also, the fridge in my room was noisy so I unplugged it because I couldn't get to sleep. My room was too warm, but […] leaving the window wide open just made the train sounds louder. Still, the people were nice and the place was clean. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay here for the experience"
Arriving at this quaint venue was half the fun! Location is picturesque, made me want to stay and enjoy the surrounding shops and restaurants. We arrived in a downpour so the 2 block walk from were one parks a car was a bit of an inconvenience, but then again I guess it added to the adventure! Warm robes awaited us in our room. The room was cozy. We […] were amazed at the size of the bathroom in such a small space. The breakfast area was charming, a Tuscan patio feel; light and airy. At breakfast another visitor exclaimed that she had never slept in a more comfortable bed!! The breakfast selection suited this female visitor nicely, some variety that was tasty. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Camas Hotel. I wish we had had time to stay and explore this Historic Downtown, it looks charming, well done Camas! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
This hotel locates on very nice location of camas downtown. Easy parking. Price is cheap no sure if they offer room with bathroom inside the room but the one we book has detached bathroom which is very weird and inconvient. The bed is horrible. Room without ac. My wife and I stayed here overnight while in town for a business conference. The staff provided exceptional service and went out of their way to accommodate us. We stayed in a queen ensuite room. I'd definitely recommend staying in a room with ensuite bath. I love the quaint and chic feel of this hotel. Our room was adorable and very clean. "A perfect resting place outside of the city."
I frequently travel to Portland on business and stay in a variety of hotels. But this time I was looking for a place close to downtown Portland but outside of the city. The Camas Hotel was perfect. "Little hidden gem!"
This hotel was fantastic! It's an old traditional style hotel but has been recently updated and upgraded. Room was clean and fresh with plenty of style. I was impressed by restoration of a local historic landmark! Several quaint restaurants within walking distance. Nice breakfast setup with cheerful dining area. Restaurant next door offers room service during business hours. Mini fridge in rooms. Unsure if elevator available. Pets welcomed but need clearance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I would definitely stay here again. Very comfy very cute. We did find an empty beer can under the bed so had to give the cleanness a 3 but other than that it was quite clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel was quaint. Room was updated and clean. Bed was comfy. Neighborhood was quiet. Had a nice evening at them Street Uptown Lounge (2 blocks away). This is a definite place for me to return to whether it be for business or pleasure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The king-sized bed overwhelmed the room, but it was very comfortable. The breakfast room was lovely (a sunroom), but the breakfast itself unremarkable...the service was good, and it was a quiet spot. It was great to get tickets to the nearby retro theatre, and the restaurants/pubs nearby were fun...we'd go back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quaint and Affordable"
A great price for a darling room. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back. The breakfast was above our expectations. I would not recommend the restaurant that is attached to the hotel, but steer clear of that and I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Parking is an issue. An open air lot is located two blocks away. Street parking in front of the hotel is time restricted during weekday business hours and allowed overnight, but you must comply with the restrictions starting the next morning except on Fri starting at 5:00 AM when street cleaning is done by the city. That was a detail the staff failed […] to tell me when I checked in. That info is on a bulletin board in the office next to the check-in counter, and they put a sign on the counter for people who check in on Thurs, but that does little for the people who are already residents and pay no attention to the office desk when coming or going. So, I got a parking violation ticket. How much trouble would it be for the staff to put a small flyer under the door of residents who are already checked in on Thurs to remind them of the parking restriction for early Fri morning? I told the attendant I was never informed of the Fri restriction, and she took my ticket and told me the hotel would take care of it. I thought that was a nice gesture on their part and expressed my thanks. To my surprise I received an invoice from my rental car company informing me they had to pay the ticket and have passed along all penalties and surcharges to me. Total charges are now over 300%. I called the hotel and the girl who answered told me she would talk to the owners about this situation and they would call me that night. After one week, no response from either management or proprietors Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Response by Camas Hotel It is unfortunate that this guest had a problem with parking. However, we are conscientious about informing guests to be sure to use our hotel lot on Thursday nights. In addition to the parking signs in lobby that this guest has mentioned, we also hand out a parking map that states that guests should always use our parking lot on Thursday nights due to street cleaning. We also mention the street cleaning on our check-in form, which the guest signed. Our parking lot is only about 200 yards behind the hotel, and is easily accessible. Therefore, we do not pay for parking tickets, nor did anyone tell the guest we would pay for the ticket.
New experience with a bedroom and shared bathroom. I did not know until I had already booked it and showed up. There is a community kitchen as well. An excellent property and small quaint town.with affordable shops We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay in the area.Genuine Expedia guest review

The Camas Hotel is a throw-back to boarding house-type hotels where each floor has multiple rooms that share two full bathrooms/showers. Definitely has an old time, European flavor. "Stayed here for our first wedding night"
My wife and I stayed here for our first night together after we were married close by. The vintage look of the hotel and the Christmas light covered street out front caught our attention. We had an exceptionally late check in, and the staff was more than willing to allow us a key to the front door so we could enter after hours. The room was comfortable […] and well decorated. We chose to get an exceptional rate by opting for a room without a private bathroom, as we were just there for the night. It was a great deal, and the decor of the hotel matched our wedding perfectly. The front desk was able to offer suggestions for breakfast and coffee, and made us feel very welcome.
