Hotel Villa Pina Antico Francischiello - Massa Lubrense

We booked a room (above the restaurant) with a balcony and view of Capri and Mt. Vesuvious. The room was comfortable and the view spectacular. I found the Hotel to be very nice. There are lots of community patios, the one on top has a 360 degree view and lots of tables for enjoying your own food and drink or meeting other guests. There is a covered […] patio off the entrance to the 2nd floor rooms, which was very convenient. The restaurant was really nice and what a view. It's true they are not within an easy walking distance to Sorrento but I understand there is convenient bus service. We had a car and parking was free. It was a perfect end to our vacation in Italy. I thought the view was pleasant and the restaurant was wonderful! The hotel was a bit ruff. Very old and outdated. The bathroom got soaked when we used the shower there was no curtain or shower door. The room was very clean but could really use a little updating. we took a bus from Sorrento and were not sure where to get off, missed our stop and got […] lost so if taking a bus make sure you ask the driver to tell you when you get to the villa Pina stop. There was no where to access the beach and not much to do around the hotel. The restaurant was really good though and the people were very friendly. I would probably find a hotel actually in Sorrento if I were to visit again and take the bus to the restaurant :) Read more

Schon beim Frühstück hatten wir vom Speisesaal einen traumhaften Blick auf Capri, Ischia, den Vesuv und den ganzen Golf von Neapel. Was noch zu erwähnen ist, es gab einen sehr guten Kaffee und frisch gepressten Orangensaft zum Frühstück.

Wir wohnten für drei Nächte im Hotel, hatten Zimmer mit Meerblick (inkl. Blick auf die Insel Capri) und Frühstück gebucht. Das Zimmer war absolut in Ordnung, sauber, gepflegt. Das Bad war geschmacklich etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig gefliest, ansonsten auch ok. Das Hotel liegt direkt an der einzigen Strasse zwischen Sorrento und Massa Lubrense und ist entsprechend […] befahren. Gestört hat es mich allerdings nicht, bin da auch nicht sonderlich empfindlich. Für manch anderen dürfte es zuviel Verkehrslärm sein - insbesondere die ewig knatternden Vespas.... Das Frühstück war...nun...übersichtlich. Ausschliesslich süßer Belag für die Brötchen, keine Wurst und ein paar Sandwich-Käsescheiben. Dazu Cornflakes und Obst sowie Joghurt. Nach Sorrento sind es mit dem Auto nicht mal 10 Minuten, nach Massa Lubrense und dem ersten kleinen Supermarkt in der Umgebung sogar noch weniger. Vor dem Hotel hält auch eine Buslinie, die in beide Städte führt. Insgesamt betrachtet ein gute Basis für für Ausflüge zu den relevanten Orten und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Sei es die nähere Umgebung wie St Agata (20 Min.) oder Positano (30 Min) oder die weiter entfernt liegenden wie Vesuv oder Salerno (je mehr als 1 Stunde). Von außen dürfte das Hotel ruhig mal eine kleine Sanierung erfahren, aber die defekte Leuchtreklame oder zerbröselte Treppenaufgang wird in Italien ja nicht so eng gesehen... :) An das Hotel angeschlossen ist ein sehr gutes, aber im Verhältnis zu anderen in der Umgebung sehr teures Restaurant.
