I found the staff very friendly and helpful. The facility has a great pool . I was there in the rainy season and it was nice to have such a nice pool. Access to the beach is nice. When compare to other hotels that I observe on my walk along station 2 and 3 I felt Paradise was a good choice, The off season rates were decent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is located close to all areas of interest and has a beach property. Their pool is also well designed. Staff and service is also of high standard. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.Genuine Expedia guest review
A room with no balcony overlooking a chicken farm and dump. When checking in, told have to eat all food on plate at breakfast or be charged extra fee, constantly questioned by security if staying at the hotel, when checking out all room charges broken down into taxes and fees but sum does not equal total amount actually charged. STAY AWAY!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The breakfast is rubbish for westerners like me. No croissants, no real coffee, no cocoa powder, no fruits!! Stayed there for 5 days and I came back traumatized by pancakes for breakfast and worse of all: There aren't sufficient tables to all the guests if you go to the breakfast by 7:30am onwards, you have to fight to get one table, believe me! As a family we decided to wake up at 6 am everyday to avoid the crowd and the stressful experience in the mornings! The dinner buffet, let's talk about it: Very low quality and the music SOOOO LOUUUD, that you simply cannot listen each other (I think it's made on purpose, so you simply cannot stay very long, hurting your ears this way) and besides the bad food and bad loud music is have to finish your plate or will be punished with a 1.100 Pesos fine! The hotel is a big construction site, really not pleasant and the electricity installations all across is a BIG HAZARD specially for young children (I have made some pictures, but unfortunately I cannot join it to my review). The 2 swimming pools actually is only one and really not nice nor pleasant. Our rooms were not made until 6pm and I had to go to the reception to complain and was told that it was my fault, since they wouldn't do the room if I didn't hang the sign on the door knob, my jaw just dropped! Forget this hotel!

Positioned in Station 3 w access to a nice stretch of beach, Paradise Garden is a good value resort on Bora. Rooms are large and clean, food is ok, with 2 large swimming pools to use if you dont fancy going to the beach. You can stroll barefoot on the cool powdery white sand and visit all the reknown eateries, services, and shops or just take a dip in the clear calm waters of Boracay . Staff members are just naturally polite, and friendly, but were not properly trained to handle large groups. Front desk ladies were inefficient. Still a promising resort which will hopefully improve w time

My friends and I actually stayed at Sands and not here, but we ate teo dinners here simply because of the great food and affordable rates (Php550). Widest range of pretty good food for the price range. Lechon, ribs, soy chicken, calamares, various kinds of maki, mongolion bbq, salads and includes iced tea and juice with the occasional crepe! I would not mind eating here again!!!
"Poor management in facilities"
01/25/15 Louella W
We had a bad lunch walk in experience. The first we ask was how we can use their sun beds as we were planning on having a dip before grabbing some lunch. The housekeeping staff explained that we have to pay 500 pesos for 2 sunbeds so we asked if we can consume it over bar food and drinks for lunch. He said yes and we even said so it's consumables then and he said yes again. He accompanied us to our sun beds which has nothing but just bare beds. After barely an hr we decided to order. Food took so long to be served. Upon requesting for our bill we handed the 500 pesos receipt from the 'Consumable sunbed rent' and that's where the mess started. They deny the consumable phrase the staff initially explained. That we have to pay for the food separately and the rent was not consumable. We didn't see any point arguing to the staff so we asked for the supervisor which stand was the same and blame the staff for not explaining it properly. After a few mins of discussion between the supervisor and a few guys with security tshirt on the 'supervisor came back and said there's no manager on site and they will have to follow the policy of which they will charge it to the staff. The food bill was PHP679 and they asked us to just pay for another 500 pesos and they will charge the rest to the staff. So we said no we are fine paying it but the sign should be cleared. No for rent signs and most hotels wich we have been do consumables for walk in lunchers. We felt conned in a way. We will never recommend this to anyone. Poor staff representation equates to poor management!
"Best location, top quality customer service"
01/20/15 Martina V Ljubljana, Slovenia
If you're looking quiet location of accomodation and still be very close to all of buzz happening at the White beach, then this is the place. We stayed in rooms located between the lobby, restaurant which is only meant for breakfast and the pool. Although I had to get used to sound of water fountain from outside during the night it was pretty quiet. Rooms were very comfy. The beauty of the famous White beach is just a minute walk through the resort. We traveled as two couples in January. Weather-fabulous! The resort owns a big spot at the beach for their guests as other hotels-if you want to enjoy somewhere else at the beach, the security guard always comes to ask you to show them the room key. Breakfast choice is plain, every day same food. A lot of good other restaurants near resort at the White beach. Must say that in our experience the customer service and communication was perfect. At arrival we booked another hotel which is located in Bulabog beach but they screwed up our booking and we had to find ourselves new hotel with available rooms asap. We got a new booking in Paradise garden in no time and the staff was available 24/7 for anything. Really satisfied with the turn out of our vacation. Five stars.
"OK, value for money questionable though"

I stayed at the Paradise GArden for eight nights in December 2014. The hotel is located between the Boracay main street and White Beach near Station 3 towards the more quiet end of the beach. The property is quite large and as I was there during the Christmas peak period it was also quite busy (fully booked) and therefore the service was not the quickest I've experienced. Check-in took some time but was still reasonable. The lengthiest part of the check-in process was the recital of the rules of the resorts where the list of "don'ts" seemed significantly longer than the list of "dos." Felt a bit condescending although there probably are valid reasons for all the rules... The room itself was OK, quite large with room in the downstairs of a villa-type biulding with a few other rooms only in the same building. They have a few of these smaller buildings scattered around the property but also larger buildings with the more regular hotel feel to them. The main gripe I would have about the room is that while it was OK I felt that it was hugely overpriced considering what you could get for the same money elsewhere in SE Asia in places like Bali etc. I'm sure that there was a buit of a peak-season surcharge in my room rate but still...The wifi was a mess; either I couldn't connect most of the time or the codes provided by the reception did not work. Some room packages include free wifi, some don't. Mine did but it was down more often than operational. The best part of the hotel is probably the friendly staff, no problems with the service itself. The location near Station 3 means that the walk along the beach to e.g. D'Mall takes about 20 minutes in the evening with people out and about so that may something to consider. I might consider staying again but will look into other optons as well for my next visit to Boracay.
"Potential to be 'Paradise'...actually "Paradise Lost""
01/17/15 luigiluigi1979 Milan, Italy
My wife and I had booked at the hotel for New Years week (till first week of Jan). We arrived at the airport and the transfer service from Caticlan Airport (via private...wet,leaky...boat) to the hotel was managed semi-decently. We had requested and got 'agreement' on an early check-in on our arrival. We reached the hotel at 8am, stayed in a check-in queue for 30min without any apology or tact we were greeted to check in. They denied any request had been received or agreed to for an early check in and asked us to leave our bags at the reception area - the size of a postage stamp, threw nets over the bags to demarcate the different rooms. Following which they asked us 4 times to re-submit our passports and check-in details as they kept loosing them. The Rooms - we stayed the WDR block of rooms...pool facing. These are revamped rooms and the view is nice esp for a morning cup of coffee. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The fittings - cupboard's, drawers, etc were very basic and a bit tacky but served their purpose. The bathroom was clean and newly done. HOWEVER, be warned (this is a feature which was of common complaint by many guest we met) - on taking a shower, water from the shower cubicle leaks out to the rest of the loo. Which means you have a water logged commode area. We would ask for extra towels (be warned of getting grilled on asking for these) and had to place them around the shower. The Beach - The White Beach itself is absolutely spectacular!!! The saving grace for this hotel is its stretch of beach. It is the best as it is spacious, uncluttered by hoards and docked boats. It is clean and great for swimming. However, they have few beds and it is a pain regarding beach towels. You have to only get them from the pool area 5min walking from the beach. And you are only 'allowed' to take one towel per person (towels are minuscule, good for a 5-7 yr child, and often quite tacky). You would need to sign in and out for your towels please don't forget to do so and hang on to them for dear life. Food (if you can call it that) - Our package included breakfast. For the first 3 days we made the mistake of eating at the hotel. It is really basic and has leftovers reheated and served. We got really bad stomach infections and post the 3rd attempt (of eve just fruits and cereals) gave up and went elsewhere. The eggs, pancakes, etc are all cooked on the same tepen as the very greasy bacon, so if you dont eat pork please be warned and if you value your arteries be cautious. We booked our selves for the New Years Eve "Gala Dinner" and specifically reserved a romantic beachfront table (which we checked and reconfirmed more than twice...till 30min prior to our sitting down). On arriving our table with our printed name plate had been given away and we were then accommodated (only on my creating a scene) and squashed in between two table...it felt like we were invading into their conversations and were practically rubbing shoulders with them. Please avoid to dine at any of their restaurants for any meals. There are lots of options around the beachfront and you would save money and your health to do so. We met great people, made good friends and would definitely go back to Boracay...but Paradise Garden will not be our top choice.
"Great staff - outdoor & room renos over due"
01/17/15 aidapk Vancouver, BC
Thanks to front staff Cyril, Reynan & Gretchen for their wonderful help & hospitality. Plus, big thumbs up to the housekeeping for their efficient daily was work. And thank you Galixca for your cherub smile and truly warm greeting every time I showed up for breakfast! My only reason for 3-stars is that the outdoor areas could do with renovation / updating, as well as the room's bathroom (sink is small, so water gets everywhere on the counter / sink drainage is slow / shower water can leak onto the floor easily).
"Not the best choice... "

Before we arrived, I tried to contact the hotel to organize an extra bed to be put in our two bedroom suite. Firstly, it was hard enough to find a contact number that actually worked. Also, after I finally did contact the hotel, and after assuring me that all would be OK once I arrived, of course this had not been included in my original room charge. Staff were not friendly and accommodating. We arrived early in the morning (1am) as our flights had been cancelled and delayed and to add to our frustration staff were just not understanding that I already thought the extra charges had already been put through. The room itself was average and dated. The bathroom began to smell like sewerage after a day and housekeeping could not fix it. The air con in one of the rooms was spitting out dust and water. The bidet was leaking when we arrived. All towels had stains on them. The breakfast buffet was OK - good mix of western and Filipino food. That is probably the only redeeming factor. To top it off, we organized airport transfers upon departure. The guy we spoke to was 15 mins late on the actual day and didn't even apologise for it. When he did come he said there were still 2 people we were waiting for and said we couldn't leave yet. So frustrating! We ended up leaving 30 mins after we intended to leave. I do not recommend this place if you want to experience proper Filipino hospitality.
"Great Beach Staff, terrible front desk staff... NO WIFI"
01/01/15 Visit0r13 Victoria, Canada
We arrived at the hotel at 12:30pm because we had to check out of the previous hotel at exactly 12 noon. We were not greeted by any of the 5 staff working at the counter. Finally one came over to us and asked if we were checking out. We said no, checking in. They began to check us in, but then said we needed to come back at 2pm, which was the check in time. We told them it was no problem, but we wanted to make sure that we got the requested double beds for both rooms. They said yes certainly. We came back at 2:30 and we were told the rooms were ready. We double-checked to see if we go double beds. They said no, and it would take another 20 minutes to get our rooms. With no where to go, they began to give us a run down of the costs if we did not return towels, stained the bed sheets with henna tattoos etc. Clearly buying time since the rooms were not ready when promised. We asked about wifi and were told that we could only get 12 hour passwords and would have to return every 12 hours if we wished to use the wifi continuously. We told them it would be troublesome, so they agreed to allow us to have one continuous password for 5 days. We were then presented with a bill for xxx pesos or about $xx USD. This required a daily visit from the IT technician to help us connect and a ridiculously slow connection taking about 15 to 30 minutes for any webmail or facebook page to open. We called the desk to complain about the terrible service at such a high rate and the attendant on the phone laughed and said “ok, sir.” The rooms are nice, but housekeeping did a very minimal job each day. There was a sign that said “save energy, hang towels you want to use again and put dirty towels on the floor”. We tried our best to reuse our towels but when one was used sufficiently, we put it on the floor. One day we found the dirty damp towel refolded and placed with the clean ones. The shampoo, soap and tooth kits were never replenished in the 6 days we stayed, the glasses were washed once, and we had a bath mat for only 2 days. The grounds and the rest of the resort are very nice. The balcony on the villa was very comfortable. Aside from this, the only other positive was the grounds and food staff were very pleasant- especially the beach staff and bartender at the beach who was over worked with no support. He still gave a very pleasant smile each time we saw him. The beach attendant worked all day to make sure there were enough chairs, and when someone left, he made sure to give the chair to a new person. If they trained the front desk staff and the housekeeping as well as the rest of the staff, it would have been a much better experience. So be careful when checking in, we felt a little bullied, and don’t pay for the expensive internet, it was completely useless.
