"Can't beat it for the price but know what to expect"

Jazz on Lenox Hostel was only 12 blocks from where I needed to be and 1/10 of what I would have paid to stay at a hotel so it really worked for me. However, when you see the word hostel you have to know what to expect. I was in a room with 7 other people and they all happened to be male, I am not. I was on the 5th floor and there is no elevator nor bellman so I had to carry my bag up to 5. Towels are provided by the hostel but if you are particular about such things you need to bring your own. One of my roommates snored in ways that I would never expected from a human. Yet, with all that being said, if you need to sleep cheap in NYC it couldn't be beat.
