Checkin was fine, room was basically clean. Floors sloped different ways. Fridge wasn't plugged in and we couldn't figure out where the plug was hidden till too late. Not enough pillows. I have stayed at this hotel previously and never understood why there were such negative reviews....I now understand. To outline, the fireplace, not real and not worth the extra cost. The kitchen, not stocked with the basics like cookware for the stove, cleaning supplied(not that I could cook anyhow due to lack of cookware) and a broken microwave. I would never stay at this hotel if that is what you can consider it. The beds were completely uncomfortable, the pool was not up in operation, traffic kept us up all night, there was no sort of breakfast. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Everything was nice and the bed was big and very comfortable. The only thing that I was not expecting was the fireplace not being real. I was excited about starting a fire and enjoying the heat, smell and flicker of the flames. Was trying to get it started, after looking at it I thought it was gas but did not know how to turn it on. Then I saw a switch […] which was labeled fan and turned it on thinking maybe it helped with the smoke and the fireplace would not light without it being on. well I flick the switch and the fireplace came to life but with a light and turning drum. It was actually very real looking but I was not expecting it and was a little disappointed. I wound stay again the price was right, the area was quiet and the room was nice. Decent stay for 1 or 2 nights only. Rooms clean and pleasant enough. About a mile or so from Prescott itself. There was a Mexican restaurant opposite which was closed sadly as that would have been perfect for dinner as there was nothing else nearby (we stayed in March). Safeway is walking distance though. Can't complain for the price though.

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. I booked it online and it said there was a pool and spa which neither one was open. The spa was closed but the sign said, "year around." When I checked in the lady gave me the key to someone elses room which had all their personal stuff in it. When I finally got the key to my room the beds had hair on the sheets […] and cigeratte holes in the blankets. There was cereal and twizers between the two beds on the floor. When showering in the morning the water got super hot all of a sudden and then went totally cold and the room stunk. Horrible experience. Read more

It is a true budget hotel. It was clean but older. Lots of personal repairs done by the owners. The continental breakfast was dissapointing even by continental breakfast standards. I stayed here on a Saturday night with my girlfriend. The check-in was smooth and easy and the room was clean. While we were enjoying a quiet dinner in our room, I saw a lizard on the wall. When I went to look at it, he scurried under the bed and I couldn't find him. I went to the front desk and told them of the problem. They sent a staff member over […] to the room who was not able to find the lizard. He took us back to the office where they gave us the key to a new room which was quite a bit nicer and larger. I was impressed with this level of service. The hotel is need of an actual contractor! They have some do-it-yourself-er with a home depot credit card going crazy in there and its awful! Whoever did the drywall left huge gaping holes around the outlets, light fixtures, etc...The carpet is stained, the door jam was cracked and barely closed, the thermostat was inaccurate, the parking is scarce, […] the parking lot is covered in pot holes, the shower was dirty and tiny, the toilet was also dirty. The room smelled like moth balls and ozium, and the staff was walking around barefoot and texting instead of greeting us. The other residents were actually full-time residents who were very suspect. We were given a room that was along a row of families whose kids were riding their bikes and scooters in between parked cars. I called the office and demanded a different room, as I was worried about my car getting scratched, and the walls were so thin, you could hear the family […] next door, who had several kids. We were moved "across the street", which I'm guessing means "across the tracks", and the neighbors on that side weren't much better. The room was not cleaned daily; the towels were just replaced and the beds made. There was paint peeling from the walls, the deadbolt didn't unlock from the outside, and the water remaining in the pool was a combination of green, black, and blue. Just a horrible experience !!!!! The Budget Host Sierra Inn was a great place to stay. If you are on a budget (sorry for the pun) and want a quiet, clean, and convenient location this is it. Just needed a bed to sleep in after Kayaking at Watson lake in Prescott. This hotel was just that and not much more. There is a little mexican food place across the street and cab ride to Whiskey Row was $5 plus I tipped $5.

While this is a very old hotel - appears that Budget has recently purchased. They need to do some updating and they really need to get the muskly smells out - I think that the rooms used to be smoking rooms! All in all it was OK - we were just there basically for sleeping and were only there 2 nights. Clean.
