Nice time

Great location for walking the strip. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.
"Great Price, Poor Hotel Upkeep"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The room was a steal at the price, and it was right on the strip. Only complaints /i had were poor lobby lay-out (had to ask where the check in desk was) and poor room and elevator maintenance, the elevators shook so bad i thought we could plunge to the bottom at any moment.

This area has more lodging variety than The Strip. East of the Strip features both gaming and non-gaming properties that range from budget to luxury accommodations. Key attractions here include the Las Vegas Convention Center, the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the McCarran International Airport, several office parks, and the Restaurant Row along Flamingo and Paradise roads.

I was working a tradeshow at the Convention Center. What a phenomenol location and ultra-reasonable price. The place is past its prime, but it's as well maintained as one could expect...especially for the price.

"Good Over All"
The hotel was good over all - restaurant, pool, cleanliness, location, room except for the front desk lady Becky who is not very friendly and who seems to be irritated with her job. Other than that, it's worth the stay & comfort it brings. We could have also use the shower stall if there was door with it.
"It did the job"
The hotel was conveniently close to the strip but still set back enough to "get away" from the strip. The staff was super friendly and very helpful, the hotel could maybe use a fresh coat of paint but overall good. Great views of the hotels on the strip. However the "entertainer" Tommy Wind was inconveniently parked in front in a "20 min only" spot, […] all weekend (fri night- sun morning), makes it kinda hard to check in, etc. Read more
"Clarion Hotel & Casino Las Vegas Convention Ctr Dr"
Front dest was welcoming & worked with us on our room request. Changed rooms 3 x (third room a charm). Rooms are older. Restaurant waitress was rude, food was good. Excerise room was nice, quite & had working TV :) Location was good for not wanting to be on strip. I would come back only if I get the same room I was in previously. Thank you
I've stayed at nicer places for less than what I paid for each night. Nothing special. A little worn down. Beds were comfortable. Can easily walk to the strip. I would not pick this hotel again.
"Good value near the conventon center"
nothing fancy and the casino is a bit of a joke, but is a great location for conventioneers on a budget. has fridge and free internet, Walgreen's and convenience stores nearby. 10 minute walk to the strip.
"Clarion Hotel"
The Clarion is a real hotel. It is a small hotel and parking is convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful; they really appreciate your business. The Clarion is in a great location, it is in the middle of everything while being off the beaten path. You probably would want to have a car if you stay here. It is walking distance to the convention […] center. The immediate neighborhood is quiet at night and I was able to sleep undisturbed. The room was huge and well furnished and with the free wi-fi, I was able to keep up with my work. The room was clean and well maintained. The house keeping staff was very responsive to my requests. If you are looking for a good room at a great price, this is the place. The hotel is much nicer than any motel for the same price. The Clarion was formerly the “Debbie Reynolds Hotel & Casino” and built in the early 80’s and long before anyone imagined the mega-hotels that were built much later. The facility is well maintained, modest and is a nice place to stay. I recommend the Clarion to anyone who asks me where to stay in Las Vegas. I will stay here again. Read more
I got a room in 12th floor, there was lot of noise from the A/C in the night,so they moved me from 12th to 3rd floor.Moving in the middle of the night was a pain.Make sure you don't take on the 12th floor if you book the room here.
"Room, Bar, Restaurant & Service"
We went for Hunting Show in the convention. Found the location of hotel walking distance to convention center(if you want to walk). The staff very helpful, respectful, always a kind tone of voice. It looks like an older hotel but yet the quality of service and room decore - great. Would recommend the hotel. The restaurant and server's are great! Thank […] you again!! Read more

"Clairon Hotel, Las Vegas"
Hotel was in the heart of the convention center, but the property was very run down, old and dirty, the coffee shop was horrible, the carpets in our room were so dirty and stained, and there was a big dirty recliner in the room, kinda of disgusting. One positive thing was the beds were very comfortable. Tim, at the front desk was very helpful and friendly, […] we were there to visit my daughter who was in the hospital at UMC and we needed directions to get around. Read more

"Good Price & Friendly Staff"
I love staying at this hotel because it's always a good price, I get a good view, the staff is always friendly and it's usually pretty close to the casino, I am planning on going to like the Wynn :)

Although the price was good, it's a very old hotel that has not been taken care of. Carpet was old and stained. Mildew in shower and basically not a very nice place. Should have known better for the low price. Smelled of smoke and other odors.
"Customer mistake corrected"
I booked the wrong month, even after the booking date passed. The Reservation lady Raquel, was able to cancel my booking and I was able to rebook for the correct month. Completely my mistake. They were very easy to work with.

"Clarion Las Vegas"
Everyone at the front desk was great and our room was fantastic......But the service downstairs at the resturant and bar was really bad...They need to clean up and get rid of some employes
"Clarion in Las Vegas"
Very nice hotel , nice helpful staff , clean rooms
"close to convention center"
We could walk to the convention center or Las Vegas BVLD. The carpet in the room was old, the curtains were water stained from the window being left open during a storm, the room had a slight odor and the air conditioning really did not make the room cold and the day time high was only 85F. We staid on the 11 th floor, the view was nice and the room […] was large. we did not go to Vegas to spend time in the room, it was better than camping. Read more
"Not bad!"
Older hotel, not bad, but the rooms should be cheaper for the area.
"Convention Hotel"
You get what you pay for. I selected this hotel because it's within walking distance of the Convention Center and was 2/3 the price of surrounding hotels. As you arrive, the "Theater" sign overhead tells it all. Someone ordered a sign too big so it won't fit in the sign holder. So it's stretched outside the holder and the last letter of the sign is […] taped to the wall! Very old run down hotel and you can see no money is being spent in maintenance. Service was marginal at best (extra slow in the restaurant) and if you do need a taxi, the front desk must call and you hope one will show. Location is great, price is okay so just know what you're getting. Read more
"Great for business at the convention center"
I was there for a convention at LVCC. The hotel location is great, just a 5 minute walk from the convention center. The hotel is nothing like the big strip casinos and that was a good thing. I did not have to wait in a big line to check-in, I could park for free just outside the lobby, and I did not have to walk a mile to my room! It's nothing fancy, […] but the bedding was very comfortable, my room was spotless with new carpeting and linens. The Clarion was perfect for a quick business trip to the convention center and very reasonably priced. Read more

"Good value"
With an event at the conference center, this hotel worked out great because we could walk since it was only about a block away. Rooms were plenty comfortable and the rate was great. Really small casino area and a restaurant made getting around and up to the room easy, rather than walking a long distance. Cobb salad I had was really good and front desk […] sold sodas, snacks and other items. Perfect for Vegas on a budget with in house entertainment as well in an adjoining theater. Read more
"Worst hotel ever!!!"
We had a really bad experience at this hotel, dirty ans smelly carpets, we arrived on friday and left on sunday and they never runned a vacuum on the hallway. There were bugs on the pool. the carperts on the elevators and room are disgusting, overall the worst hotel ever, we are never going back.
"Clarion - Excellent Location for Convention Center"
This is certainly not the fanciest hotel in Vegas, but it is very nice, well maintained and an easy walk to the Convention Center. Can't beat it at the price.

"Clarion Las Vegas"
It is in a great location for the convention center but fairly run down. A good price for the money but expect it to be a two star stay. I had a long wait to check in, outer bedding was ancient and carpet needed to be replaced years ago.
Strictly business, it was convenient, clean room, and quiet. Not plush, but I would stay again.
"Not for the normal person to stay at...."
Hotel lobby and carpeting needs a good cleaning. Rooms were not as dirty as lobby and hallways. Elevators were old and flooring needs repair.

"the Clarion.....what a great value!"
We were amazed at how easy it was to find, park and avoid traffic on "The Strip". This is an older hotel and doesn't have the food courts and shops a lot of the others have, but well worth the money. Our room was spacious, convenient, clean and quiet. The 'queen bed' in our room was surprisingly comfortable. Staff was gracious, courteous and attentive. […] I will definitely stay here again and do feel confident that others will find my recommendation warranted. Read more

"Great hotel...."
A lil smaller and more conveinent to stay at than the places on the strip. check in 2 min, check out 1 min,,,, Compared to an hour on the strip, much nicer people as well..... Small little cafe, nice little bar... Pool was a little small, but that added to the private aspect of it..... Only negative the pool filters needed changed, thus the water had […] palm tree pollen on it. A great place if ur a person who checks in, and wants to go c several diff places on the strip... If you want the mirage atmosphere, Then you better go saty there. A good spot for a good price and a good time and very easy to access everything.... Read more
"Close to strip, good value for money."
The Clarion hotel is located close to the Las Vegas strip. Both the bus stop and tram stop are at a walkable distance. So, reaching strip or downtown is very easy. Considering the proximity to the strip and low cost of stay per night, it is a very good option to stay when in Las Vegas. All employees in the hotel were very good and friendly. They provided […] me with all the support that they could. I give a 5 for their service. I do have some negatives: The hotel carpets, walls and decor look very old and shabby. A little bit of investment on the decor and new carpets could improve the hotel's staying experience. The second negative is the slow internet speed. This is not a flashy hotel when compared to other hotels on the strip. But, it is good value for money if you need a hotel just to rest. Read more

"Convenient and OK"
The reviews for this hotel are just about right. As a business person, I don't mind staying in less-than-luxurious hotels because I am by myself. I had a convention at the convention center which was less than a block away so it was perfect. The hallway carpets are pretty dingy but the room was fine and bed was comfortable. Staff were wonderful. Inexpensive […] breakfast ($5.99) was great. They advertise a casino but it is just a few slot machines. This is NOT your typical vegas hotel but I would recommend it for business or a cheap place to stay off the strip (only a couple of blocks walk away). Read more
its ok but reasonable costs

"Close to Las Vegas Convention Center"
Great lower priced alternative to staying at the hotel adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Restaurant served good food. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Wireless internet was slow at times on the 10th floor. Within walking distance to tram and full service casinos (less than 0.5 miles away). Friendly and helpful front desk with convenient and […] complimentary hotel parking. Read more

"Great for staying on a budget"
Stayed here because it was walking distance to the convention center and the strip. Room was large, but no padding under the carpet. But For what I paid I thought I got a great deal. If you want luxury, then pay to stay somewhere more expensive. I'll probably stay here next time I visit Vegas.
"Great weekend spot on a budget"
Close to all of the shops, great service, clean rooms which include a fridge and a late check out with no additional fees :)
"clairion"
this hotel was worth the money
