Great place. We were right on the water, and it was like we were sleeping on the beach! It was absolutely gorgeous, despite it being a rainy day. The fireplace was so nice. My boyfriend and I sat in front of it for most of the day playing board games!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Upgraded interior with ocean view"
Enjoyed the ocean views. Good price. Some construction noise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything about the hotel was positive however, when I originally booked the room online and chose the suite, it described it with a Jacuzzi style tub. There was no Jacuzzi tub in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Will definitely stay here again. Recently remodeled, and clean and very pretty furnishings, including dishwashers and microwaves in units.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Will be great some day!"
This place is still under construction, but we knew that going in. There are still some issues: no siding on the walls, no working elevators, a lot of the electrical outlets in the room not working, etc. However, the suite was large and comfortable and our family really enjoyed the views from the balcony, the location, and the pools. It will be really […] nice once they finish construction. If you like to sleep late DO NOT stay here. Our kids wake up at 6 am so the nail guns and loud construction workers didn't bother us but I can't imagine sleeping through all that!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lost my kid Ipad"
Hotel was great, beautiful room, gorgeous location. Unfortunately we checked out early, and left to visit neighboor town. Couple of hours later my 10 year old daughter find out she left her Ipad at her room. We called and turned around, but unfortunately front desk told us that nothing was found. They said they were going to do a thorough check, and […] we left our contact phones. We never got a call back on follow up. Leaves you a lot to think about how effortless they managed a delicate situation like this. In good Hotels things don't get lost. Sorry for my kid. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel is under construction and is not done yet."
The location of this hotel is great and someday it will be a wonderful place, just not yet. It is under construction and is a mud pit while you wait for the sod to get put in. The pools aren't heated yet because the plumber hasn't shown up yet. They center building is under construction so you hear the power tools and hammers at 7am monday - saturday. […] The parking lot is a mess because of all the construction equipment and the poor design so you might not get a spot when you arrive. Wait another year before taking a look here. At check-in had an issue - two room suite room image shown online clearly shows a king in one room and twins in another. We get in room, two kings. When I went back to front desk, described issue to clerk, she understood and verified online. Manager did not agree, saying it was not their website - which it clearly was. They did find us another room […] in another property. The Property Manager was not cooperative and kept putting it back on us for looking at the wrong website. Needless to say the room was nice, there are not alot of chairs available on beach and it was rough as compared to other nearby properties. On check out there was further confusion with charges - again manager was a little rough an uninformed. The place has nice rooms, it was perfect for our needs with the correct bed configuration. The website still shows the room as incorrect, call first to confirm. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the beach1"
Had a pleasant stay, booked a one bedroom standard, when we got to our room it was a loft with a spiral staircase to the bedroom. There was a fireplace and big screen tv in the living room, small kitchen area with full size refrigerator, apt size dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster etc, no cooktop though. The bathroom was large but what seemed […] strange the only mirror in the loft was the one in the bathroom. There should have been one in the bedroom. There was construction going on (next to our room), but it really didn't matter to us since we weren't in the room during the day) It was nice to go out the door and in a few steps you were on the beach, nice quiet, not crowded. The staff was nice, friendly. There was no wifi in the room, had to go the the lobby or on the front or back porch to use. We have stayed at The Soundings the last 3 years and it has been enjoyable every time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
For the 2 bedroom unit it sleeps 6 but living room way too small! No where to sit and relax at night to watch tv cuz kids needed bed to sleep in. Kitchen was fully stocked with huge fridge but no stove to cook on. Rooms would definitely benefit with stove!!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Day trip to Nantucket"
In October in Cape Cod find a different hotel. This is a timeshare facility and while the room was nice - it only had a full size bed and the bathroom was very small with no where to set anything. For the price of the room, I was expecting a more deluxe room. The location was not close to anything else and checking prices at other hotesl this one was […] 3 times the price. Under new management. The rooms were wonderful and we would stay again.....needs a tiki bar and it would be heaven!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I choose this hotel totally out of instinct, since I wanted to make my wife's birthday special. The previous reviews were helpfull, but outdated since all of them talked about some renovations. The place is gorgeous and the decor in the room was nothing short of excellent. The closeness to the beach was awesome and the view priceless (even though it […] was an ocean view room and not ocean front). I heard the new management was working on the liquor-license which I honestly thought was the only thing missing. The staff where very helpfull, rooms very well stocked with cutlery and all the necessary, the indoor pool was appropriately warmed. The sea had too much weed, but that's probably a seasonal thing, if not natural. We plan to become regulars at this place if the management can maintain the standard they have set currently. Thanks to the staff and management for making our stay memorable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Before we left I read so many reviews about The Soundings being under construction. Well, we must be the lucky ones who heard zero construction, and had an amazing room/area that already had undergone the repairs. The rooms are decorated beautifully - and are large enough and built with enough comforts (kitchen, sitting area, balcony, bedroom, pull-out […] couch) that you would stay with your family for an extended stay. My bf and I only stayed for a long weekend but our room opened up right onto the beach, where we fell asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore every single night. This place is fabulous! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Off-season one night stay"
We were in Cape Cod for a family event and only stayed one night. Scored a nice deal since it was the off-season. We liked our room and bathroom -- reno was done very nicely; lots of higher-end touches. The gas fireplace is a really nice touch. Due to our schedule, we weren't able to make use of the pool/spa but I believe the spa was under maintenance […] anyway. The grounds were nice and right off the beach. Enjoyed our breakfast out on the lawn in the Adirondack chairs, looking at the water and enjoying the sun and wind. Would definitely come back if an opportunity arises. "Makes me Want to Go Back!"

My Husband and I went to Cape Cod for the first time this past weekend (1/9/15-1/11/15) and we stayed at The Soundings after finding it online. From the moment we arrived until leaving the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We rented a studio and I was not expecting much based on the description and pictures we found online. We were so surprised when we arrived at how clean, spacious and nice the room actually was. As soon as you walk into the studio there was a fridge, counter, dishwasher, and sink. There was a full set of dishes, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. On the other side of the room was a couch, two tables and an end table with the phone. Between the two areas there is a tv mounted on the wall and a fireplace. The bed was big enough for two and there was tables on each side. There was also a wardrobe in the bedroom area. The bathroom was big! When you walked in there is the sink and counter space with lots of drawers. There was a shelves filled with towels. To the other side there was the toilet and bathtub. The bathroom was very clean. Since were were there during cold weather we didn't have much use for the beach, but we did take a walk down. The hotel owns a really nice size beach and it would be wonderful in the summer! The downside to the hotel was that our room did not overlook the ocean, but it was a short walk away. The site advertises an indoor pool, but it was not open during our stay. Also, the ice machine was not working. Not the end of the world, but it would have been nice! I would recommend staying at this hotel.
"Great Location Fantastic Accomodation"
11/11/14 Martynjw Henley-on-Thames, United Kingdom
We stayed in a 2 bed apartment in the main block of this small Beach side complex. Accommodation was first class really nice Kitchen/diner/living area plus 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen had everything you would need and was clean bright and new, some more coffee sachets would have been nice, only 1 provided. Bedrooms good size and again clean and bright, you wont be surprised bathrooms were also high standard. Be aware when you book some rooms are up stairs, which may be a struggle with large bags (didnt appear to be a porter service). Location is fantastic right on the beach and a short drive into town. Facilities in resort are ok (we were out of season so weren't really looking for beach fun) Kids used the hot tub but outdoor pool was closed when we were there. NOTE some websites (including their own) say there is an indoor pool, there isn't. We had a problem on checking out, rate the hotel had on file was different to what we had booked (booking.com), this was quickly and efficiently sorted by the reception staff (to our expectation). Good free Wifi in the complex. Would certainly stay again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a beautiful view from our clean room. Everyone was friendly. It was easy to get to. I enjoyed being able to walk right out to the beach or hit the pool. The table in the unit was not very family friendly. It would be nice to have a little more seating in the living room and a normal-height table and chairs. I do still look forward to coming back!
"Great location, nice place to stay."

The staff was very friendly. The units are very clean and comfortable with coastal decor. We loved the location. Right on the ocean. It has two pools and a separate hot tub. The negatives are there is no elevator and the town rolls up the sidewalks at 5:00. (because we went during the end of the summer season)

We were on the Cape for a wedding and selected The Soundings, was very pleased with the facility. 1 bedroom suite, with fireplace and a great ocean view from living area and the bedroom. Large deck with plenty of seating. The bed was amazing, the décor was nautical and well done. Would highly recommend and would stay there again without question. The staff was awesome
"A bit disappointing...."

I booked my reservation for one night with American Express Travel, as it was offered on their website. My stay was not part of any timeshare program. Compared to other properties in the Cape Cod area, I feel that this one missed the mark. Although it was in a beautiful location there were several features that reflected poor planning and design. First, there is only one parking lot in the front which is crammed full of cars; totally inadequate, hard to maneuver through and in many cases - far from the front door of your unit. The one double bed/one sofa bed suite that we had was long and narrow-- a rather unwieldly layout with a small galley kitchen between the 2 sleeping areas. The desk staff seemed unaccustomed to non-time share guests as they had our billing arrangement totally mixed up. Although I had pre-paid with American Express, they actually billed me a separate time and I had to work though the annoyance of chasing down a refund due to their desk error. The pools however, looking inviting for a summer stay, and the proximity to a beach were definite plusses. Overall though, as a frequent guest at various Cape Cod resorts over past several years, I would not recommend this one.
"Cape Cod Escape"

We had a wonderful vacation and stay at the surroundings and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked a one bedroom unit with a balcony on the third floor with an amazing view of the beach and pool. We were very lucky that we did not hear the construction noise and enjoyed the pool and beach. The unit was very clean, large refrigerator and very comfortable bed and the pillows were fluffy. The location is amazing and has several good restaurants. This is a timeshare property but they do not have owners meetings or try to sell you, which is a major plus.
"On the beach--nice escape"

We are BlueGreen owners, and this was our first experience with this property. We booked a two bedroom unit since the single bedroom units were already full. Our unit was spacious and freshly remodeled with a stainless steel fridge in the kitchen. The master bedroom had a neat octagonal shape. The beach was nearby and private. Two swimming pools were available. The staff was mostly helpful, except for one male who was not very congenial. We had a running toilet which the maintenance department took care of. They are still in the process of updating and with lots of supplies and storage units in the parking lot, finding a negotiating a space was challenging. It will be worth the inconvenience when it is done.

The Soundings is a nice, small resort right on the ocean in Dennis Port, MA. They were working on remodeling the resort during our visit, but it didn't bother us one bit. We stayed in a one bedroom Presidential unit which was wonderful! It was right on the beach with a private balcony. We spent hours in those Adirondack chairs on the balcony! In addition to being right on the beach, the Presidential units have stove tops (no oven), full sized refrigerators, and dishwashers. Our unit looked newly refurbished and was decorated very nicely. We did not interact with the staff much but those we did speak with were very friendly. There are lounge chairs available to resort guests on the beach. Can't wait to go back!
"Great Cape Escape"

The resort is right on the water. Also has both indoor and outdoor pools. As with many cape resorts the rooms do not have a stove but our 2bd 2 ba had a full sized refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. There is laundry on site and they give you two packs of detergent. Free towel exchange can be arranged. Dish detergent and toiletries are also provided along with paper towels, TP, coffee and a package of popcorn. Coffee is made daily in the lobby. Free internet in the lobby. Can sometimes be picked up in your room. Rooms are well done with private decks looking out over the ocean. Sliders to the decks from both bedrooms and the living room. Crew is friendly. No sales pitches. Maintained very well.
