"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

"The Trump-another great night"
While pricey, I always have a great experience at the Trump Soho. And the location can't be beat. It is always my first choice.

"Amazing Hotel"
There's nothing quite the same as the Trump Soho. The bed was so fluffy, the room was super clean, and the staff were all very friendly. Excellent stay, even though it was a short one.

"TRUMP HAS JUST GOTTEN IT ALL RIGHT!"
I travel the world and no one does it like the Trump family... I wish I could do a commercial for them. Every time the experience is better and better. No it is not inexpensive by Hotel.com standards, but worth every penny, peso, yen, or euro. Staff treats you like family, perfect location, and truly a home away from home.
"The trump experience"
This was our wedding anniversary.the staff was cordial and inviting.we received an upgrade to our room and champagne glasses were waiting for us.the view was spectacular.the sad part was that we couldn't stay longer.will be back next year.
"Everything the reviews promised!"
Friendly staff from the front door forward; no New York attitude and when our room was not ready (at 6 pm!), we received a complimentary upgrade. We will return.
"amazing stay"
our stay at the Trump soho was perfect from start to finish, downside was that we had to leave

The view from our suite was perfect. Up town and bright. The windows were huge and allowed you to view the entire uptown portion of NYC in an amazing way. great views and comfortable room. Staff was very friendly and courteous. 2 problems... 1. There was coffee service in the room but no tea bags. When I called to get a tea bag it too 45 minutes to get "tea service" with a significant room service charge and after the service person left there was no tea bag...just hot water , lemon and sweeteners. 2. "Trump Soho"
I had been in Midtown at the St. Regis on business three days prior to staying at the Trump. We switched as my wide was joining me for a few days to explore Soho. I'm an avid reader of Hotel reviews and was somewhat concerned about comments regarding the quality of the room / furnishings, as well as negative feedback on regarding noise from adjacent […] rooms (paper thin walls). As for the first concern, I was not disappointed. While it isn't the St. Regis, I found the quality of the room furnishings and lay out to be comparable to most higher end hotels. Not St. Regis or Four Seasons quality, but appropriate and in relatively good condition. As for the reviews about adjacent noise issues, we did experience one minor issue as our neighbors coupled in the bath, which was directly behind the headboard of our bed. I made a very low level comment to my wife and it was clear they could hear us as well. I suppose we were lucky they were somewhat subdued. While the walls are not paper thin, noise seemed to carry more than other high end rooms I've stayed in. Aside from this minor issue (in our experience), we had a wonderful time. I've made nearly a hundred trips to Manhattan over the years and have stayed at most of the high end hotels from the Ritz at Battery Park to the St Regis. None have a view like the Trump Soho. In general, I suspect the average room at the Trump has better views than any other hotel in the city, given the zoning in Soho has not previously allowed anything near the height of the Trump. We had an expansive view from the Brooklyn bridge around ground Zero and up the Hudson past the park. Absolutely spectacular! As for the hotel staff, every interaction we had was professional and personal. I have a very high standard of service expectation and was not displeased in any fashion. We will be back! The area is so much more fun than the giant masses and canned retail in Midtown. We spent hours wondering around Soho, the East Village and other adjacent Read more

"Trump Soho in New York"
I booked this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary and I was very impressed. We had a 1 br suite which overlooked the Hudson and the NYC skyline. The room was on the corner 24th floor and it was well worth it. I thought I would need a higher floor to get a good view...I was wrong. Service and location were excellent. I read that a guest complained […] about the elevator service. Well, I only waited for the elevator once for a few minutes. If that's all there is to complain about then this must be a great hotel! "Trump Soho"
We were able to upgrade to a corner suite upon arrival, which was great, except that the first suite we were given had malfunctioning (ie, non-opening) drapes so the fabulous view we'd paid for couldn't be enjoyed. We moved to another suite, which was great except that the TV in the bedroom never worked and the drain in the bathroom sink was slow, neither […] of which were fixed despite our complaints-- plus the espresso machine stopped functioning by the 3rd day. It's a great-looking hotel, with stupendous views and a super-courteous staff, but for the amount of money we paid we shouldn't have had to deal with such Mickey Mouse malfunctions. Read more

THE LOBBY WHILE INTERESTING IS TOO DARK. AT LEAST ONE OR 2 ELEVATORS OUT OF 4 WERE NOT WORKING FOR THE 5 DAYS OF OUR VISIT. WORKOUT AREA IS SURPRISINGLY SPARTAN AND SMALL. "Hotel Beautfiul- location slightly off"
Ok, so the hotel is beautiful and everything in the room was wonderful. My only complaint is I could not maintain cell service either on my personal cell (Sprint) or work blackberry (AT&T) while at the hotel. Ended up having to give people the hotel room number because of the lack of cell coverage. Also, the hotel is not in the heart of Soho. It is […] about 5 blocks from the hub and there is not much around the hotel except for a Starbucks. Rooms are great, staff very friendly and responsive, but, if you want to be in the heart of SoHo, this may not be the best option for you. Read more
"Trump Soho in New York - awesome experience"
I would recommend this hotel just about to everybody. If you like Soho and surrounding areas this is definitively the place to stay: high tech & huge size rooms for NY standard, amazing bath with oversize tub overlooking NY --I stayed in the 34th fllor and the skyline view was unbelievable!

"Trump Soho - worth the walk"
My husband and I recently enjoyed two nights in NYC. We opted to stay in Soho and chose the Trump Soho because it sounded like the best hotel that would give us a deal on the room rate. We had a corner room on the 17th floor. It is very nicely appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom has two sinks and a separate tub and shower. Very […] nice. Everything was clean and happily the room had no smell of smoke. I am SUPER picky about that. Ask my kids...we have walked out of lots of hotel rooms that smell of smoke! There was a strange, periodic, metallic noise that woke us both several times the first night. We mentioned it to the front desk in the AM and they immediately both apologized and said they would try to move us. They called us on our mobile within the hour to tell us they were giving us a suite on the 21st floor. It was much more room than we needed but it was great to be at a hotel that was very responsive to the issue. The hotel is conveniently located within a block of the subway system. We also enjoyed walking uptown (probably 60 blocks to Times Square) to get some exercise. I would recommend this both to friends and my parents. One thing we notice in the corner room is that it could easily connect to two other rooms which would allow families with more than 2 kids to have 3 rooms between them all connected. You do not see that every day. Also, very close by was a little corner market where we picked up fruit and yogurt, etc. Who wants to pay mini bar prices in NYC? When we return to NYC we will definitely consider this hotel as a great option. Read more

"Not tacky like you've come to expect from Trump"
Overall a fabulous hotel experience...probably one of the best I've had after staying at most NYC hotels. "Trump Soho Terrific Hotel"
Very clean, handsome hotel very relaxing environment, friendly staff. Hotel is a couple short blocks to the subway, you will need it, not much in the surrounding neighborhood. Would book again.
"Trump Soho"
The staff of the hotel was excellent. Location was excellent. Room size was small, I booked a deluxe one bedroom suite - expedia rate. The room was suppose to be 682 - 905 sq.ft. not even close. We had room #3904 and it was small, like 400 sq. ft. at most. Everything else about the hotel was great.
"Trump Hotel in SoHo - fabulous hotel, rude service"
I travel to NY at least 15-20 times year, mainly on business. This was my first time staying in SoHo and at this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, high-quality (although the gym was just ok), great size rooms and bathrooms, amazing bed, deep bathtub, complementary espresso in the room (awesome!), and various other features that show how well thought-through […] the concept was. The restaurant was nice, I am not a fan of Italian cuisine, but once or twice is ok; service at the restaurant and lounge was impeccable. Prices at the lounge are outrageous though, I am used to $10 drinks in Atlanta, $15 drinks in NY and LA, but $24 a drink is just plain greedy (just a martini, not highly-rated wine or anything). Negative: rude front desk personnel. Perhaps, my still being in my 20s gave them the wrong impression (BTW, this hotel seems to be mainly for older people, i.e. over 40, and mostly couples) -- when I asked for change, they would check a $20 bill to see if it was fake; I had to come down to the front desk multiple times throughout my stay (5 days) to get my key card recharged as there was something wrong with the battery on my door lock -so frustrating, especially if you come out of the gym, have to go downstairs only to come back up and realize that you still can't get into the room. Security guards that came up to help me get into my room were helpful sometimes, other times rude and sarcastic - one time, when I recharged my card at the front desk and went back upstairs, a security guard was waiting (I guess, one of the nicer front desk people called him) and since I had just recharged my key card, it was working - he acted like I was out of my mind or drunk. Another night my friend forgot her credit card at the lounge, they told me they didn't have it at closing, only to tell her the next day that they did when she called one last time to check before cancelling the card. At check-out, I was informed that if you leave at any time past noon, you are charged a half Read more

Our Front Desk team is often rated very highly by our guests. I will be sure to mention your experience so that we can make improvements in the future. By checking the authenticity of currency, the Front Office team is simply doing their jobs. We are proud to welcome guests of all ages and believe that different elements of the hotel cater to a diverse number of age groups. Our check-in time is 3:00 PM and our check-out time is 12:00PM. Thank you for pointing out the ways we can improve. We hope to see you on another trip to New York.
