Is an average hotel not a lot of bells and whistle. However, it is a safe place that is just walking distance outside the old city. This is helpful because you can maneuver to avoid the annoying street venders. Some of the staff spoke good English and were accomindating but the wifi was bad which was important and if you had to talk to an non English […] speaking person then thing can be difficult. Breakfast was small but free lunch was cheap and good but you had to eat the meal of the day, no menu. Swimming pool was nice on the roof and rooms had good aircondition. "NICE HOTEL CLOSE TO EVERYTHING"
The experience was very good, because the hotel is well located close to everything, the rooms are comfortable and spacious, the hotel has an elevator and hot water, which is not easy to get on the coast for the hot weather. The only problem we had is that on the third floor not making the connection to Wi Fi, only in the firstGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great little hotel for the price."
Hotel Lee is just outside the walled city, (walking distance) so the location is great. The rooms are plain but clean. The road is kind of busy so maybe a bit noisy is you're on the 1st floor near the front - not sure. I was on the 3rd near and noise was not a problem. Breakfast is included. They change the type of juice and fruit everyday but apart […] from that its scrambled eggs everyday. So if you're picky this might cause a problem, but otherwise no. Had access to internet for 3 days but then something happened and there was no internet for two days. They tried to figure it out, but couldn't. However, this was not such a big deal to me. The people at the front were very helpful with things to do, etc. It was a great place for the price, I would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good Option / Value"
This is a solid 3 Star Property. The property is very close to the walled city, restaurants and ATM. The family room was large (two floors) and the AC worked very well. The staff was exceptional and very friendly. It had a beautiful terrace with a small pool great for the kids. We liked the property and re-booked for another three nights however these […] are some observations. The internet is weak in some of the rooms. The shower pressure was also weak. The breakfast was good but it was ALWAYS the same thing...a non issue if your staying two or three nights but the kids tired of the same bfast options. Overall, we found it offered good value. "Nice hotel location."
Hotel is in a decent location in Getsemani, in front of Getsemani Mall. If you are staying in Cartagena, its best to stay in the Old Cartagena rather then Bocagrande or other sorrounding areas. It's a nice and safe hotel within walking distance of the entrance to the walled section of old Cartagena. The rooms are nice and clean. The owner seems like […] a really nice and helpful guy. He was attentive with our needs. Rooms have wifi which is nice but no available computer station in the lobby. CONS: The twin beds are not soft and comfortable, but stiff instead. There is no hot water for the shower. The breakfast is complimentary but not much of a choice. No dinning room to eat your breakfast, instead they come and bring it to your room. Don't come here for the pool, it is very small. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotel Lee - great base for Cartagena"
The hotel is lovely. The rooms have no windows but that is fine as it can be very noisy in the neighbor hood. The hotel staff are friendly but do not speak any English so be sure you know a little bit. The rooftop pool is fantastic and they even have rooftop area that gives you 360' views of Cartagena. They have hot showers however they are run by electrics […] and when change the settings it does spark. So be careful. Otherwise we used the rooftop shower by the pool after having a swim. Breakfast is limited to eggs eggs or eggs. With fruit and juice and coffee or tea. It's a secure building which is great. It is close to the old town and the red light district so everything is walking distance. Over all it is a nice place to base yourself. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Lee in Cartagena, Colombia"
The hotel service and assistance was outstanding. It is a short walk to the walled city. There are numerous night and day entertainment establishment in the area so it is not the most quiet place at night but, if you plan to be out in the night seen, this hotel is perfect. There are always taxis driving by the front entrance so transportation is very […] easy and it is not a log trip anywhere. I had an awesome stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Lee is now Hotel Innova"
The hotel changed its name to Hotel Innova so we walked by it 5 times before someone finally told us that it changed its name. The hotel was cute, but our friends stayed in a room that smelled of sewage and there were no other rooms available for them to move into. The air con worked well and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is […] perfectly located near the entrance to the walled city. The breakfast was quite good, better than expected as we were expecting just a continental breakfast, but we got eggs, toast, fruit, coffee and juice. The rooms were a fair price for the area. We only stayed one night which was ideal. There is no air con in the lobby, but there is free wifi in all parts of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great location just outside the hustle and bustle of the old town. Very accessible to some good bars and restaurants & the main port if you fancy a trip to playa blanca. The staff were cheerful and helpful. Rooms were tidy, roomy with all the facilities you need.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I Pay more than 140usd for one night. The TV does not work. The safe was closed and the hotel guy did not know how to ooen. The breakfast include egg and 2 pieces of bread and cold and hot drinks. When I asked for more bread I was asked to pay for.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Proximidade com Centro Histórico."
Perfeito.

07/26/14 MSNYC123 New York City, New York
The hotel is located in the Getsemani neighborhood which is just minutes from the old walled city. A five minute walk will get you to the entrance of the city walls where most of the tourist sites are located. We also decided to walk to the beach in Bocagrande, which was about 25 mins. from the hotel. The hotel itself was charming. Our room faced the street and I must say, it was extremely loud. Coming from NYC, it wasn't a huge deal for us but if you're a light sleeper, definitely get an interior room. The ACs worked very well (I was often cold), and the amenities were basic but all that we needed. The breakfast is basic but filling and it's nice to sit upstairs and see views of the water and the old city. My one complaint was that the "Do Not Disturb" sign was ignored. On one day when I put the sign out but was not in the room, we came back to find that someone had come in to clean. I'm not complaining about having a clean room - I just wished they hadn't done that because we hadn't put our valuables away. The second day, we wanted to sleep in and again, put the sign out but heard knocking at the door. I wasn't properly dressed (since I'd been sleeping) and was in the process of putting on appropriate clothing when I heard the door opening.
"Lovely Room, Great Amenities"

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at this hotel in August 2013. The room was big, clean and had a small refrigerator and a powerful A/C unit. The pool area on the roof was wonderful with chairs in both the sun and the shade and great views. Although it didn't bother us at all, it might be worth it to mention that the rooms surrounded an inner courtyard area and ours (like probably most) didn't have any external windows. There was plenty of natural light coming in from the courtyard window and if we wanted some views we just went up to the rooftop. The location was great and it was a quick walk to mini-marts, restaurants and the sights. Some of the staff members were in training during our stay and it was quick obvious that both the senior staff and the new members were helpful and friendly and committed to making sure we were having a nice stay. Also, everyone at the front desk seemed to speak English.
"Amazing customer service, great value & perfect location"

One of the highlights of a last minute decision to travel to Cartagena was finding this Hotel. A group of 6 of us arrived late in the evening with no hotel reservations. We wanted to be close to Old Cartagena and the walled city and Hotel Lee was exactly what we were looking for: a convenient, clean&hospitable place with an Old World air that the inner courtyard provided. We'd be remiss not to share our compliments and appreciation for Franklyn who works the night shift at Hotel Lee. After dealing with obnoxious receptionists at nearby hotels, we were fortunate to meet Franklyn who has something to teach the world about customer service! He was so accommodating and helpful! He has extensive knowledge about what to do in the city depending on your taste&he will even take care of booking any activities & tours for you so you don't have to worry about it.Just let him know what you're in the mood for&he has all the local connections. Don't forget to wake up in time for the delicious free breakfast of the traditional "arepas" with scrambled eggs, coffee and fresh fruit juice! Continental breakfast doesn't stand a chance next to arepas with eggs. We were surprised to hear that for less than 5 dollars (10,000 pesos) we could get an "Executive Lunch" including a delicious soup with our choice of meat or poultry with rice and sweet plantains, so yummy. This hotel was a bargain and when I return to Cartagena, Franklyn will be seeing me again.
"Clean and close to the city"

Hotel Lee is just a few minutes to the walled city, harbour and restaurants. We stayed in the apartment-styled room. The room's lounge, kitchen and two AC fans made up for a lack of natural light. Our room was quiet. A good mid-range hotel option for travellers. Try the local restaurant across the road and a few doors to the right. Tasty, affordable Colombian food.

Very cheap alternative in downtown Cartagena. Very good breakfast each morning included. A bit noisy inside due to the open inner courtyard. Shower is typical electric shower for hot water you find in central and south America. Each unit has a kitchenette and sitting area + the bed and bath. Great view from the top roof deck and great lounging on the pool deck. No restaurant, bar or parking onsite. Helpful staff but you need to know some Spanish to communicate effectively. Make sure to go upstairs to the decks and have cocktails in the evening.
It is a small hotel and located next to some (semi) popular nightclubs so it can be loud, but the hotel itself was excellent. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, doing what they can for two people with a limited grasp of Spanish. For the room itself, the showers weren't the hottest but the A/C was blasting, which was nice in Cartagena's heat and humidity. The location can't be beat - about 5 minutes walk from the old city, we felt extremely safe walking around even late at night. If I were ever in Cartagena, I would definitely stay here again.
"Good location but basic"

We stayed in Cartagena over New Year and there wasn't a lot of choice of accommodation when we booked in October. We had room for four (middle aged couple, son and girlfriend). The space was reasonable and room was clean. Shower was poor! Water was lukewarm and the electrical wires were exposed. We did get clean towels every day but there were no other luxuries. Breakfast was on the roof terrace; the first day there was no evidence of it being an eating area until a lady appeared from the kitchen and gave us a choice of bread and eggs and juice. It was ok - we enjoyed lunch more as a result! It was a good location as easy walking distance of the old town, harbour to get boats to the beach and there were bars and restaurants in the same street.

Stayed at Hotel Lee while attending lanuage school at Nueva Lengua for the month of July . While still in the states received prompt responses to emails regarding our accommodations. Luis, hotel manager, responded within a few hours to each and every email. When we arrived, Luis knew exactly who we were and was quick to help get our luggage from the taxi. Even though we had made arrangements for single beds, Luis took it upon himself to provide double beds to ensure our comfort given the length of our stay.Throughout our stay he was available to provide advice (restaurants, how much to pay for taxis, laundry, etc. - he even took us to the school the day we arrived to make sure we knew exactly where we were going!) Although accommodations were simple they were perfect for our needs (air conditioning in both rooms, flat screen TV, room cleaned daily with new towels, rooftop pool, microwave, fridge w/ freezer, stove,).The location was perfect!!! Five minute walk to school and nightclubs, ten minute walk to the "walled city", ten minute taxi ride to the beach. Hotel staff very attentive and helpful- patient and provided us the opportunity to practice our Spanish (even though they spoke basic English). Breaksfast provided in our room daily, although rooftop dining available. If you plan to be in Cartegena overnight or for an extended stay I strongly recommend Hotel Lee for everthing from location to price to staff attentiveness.
"Perfect for what we expected!"

I stayed at Hotel Lee while attending Nueva Lengua language school in Cartagena. It was perfect for what we wanted (comfortable, clean lodging for a month) and stayed within our budget. Luis, the manager, and the rest of the staff were extremely attentive and personable. The hotel was located 5minutes from our school and close too many of the popular bars and clubs ( within walking distance). Beds were comfortable and there was a separate room with a kitchen, table and sleeper sofa. Bathroom was small. Decent breakfast included and delivered to our room; however, coffee was not good. Small pool on roof which was nice during hot summer days. Overall, it was perfect for what we needed and wanted. I would definitely recommend it to those looking for a comfortable, affordable and clean stay.
"You get what you pay"

Hotel Lee is located close to the harbor in Cartagena. It takes 15 min from the airport to the hotel, it costs around 9500 Colombian pesos (6 USD) to get there. PLUS: Nice clean rooms. Ok beds, Tv, safety box, little balcony, AC, bathroom Breakfast ok for the price you pay, (fruit, eggs, coffee, juice, bread) Little Nice pool up on the roof, nice terrace with a very nice view to the sea Nice location close to the harbor and downtown, you can take a walk there. Close to some restaurants Reception 24 hrs MINUS: Wifi works so close to the reception as possible -No restaurant at the hotel - Cold water, but you can take a shower anyway - avoid rooms close to the street since its a lot of noice from the street - No service mind at all. The staff was no too very helpful with the booking of the tours, they promised to help us with some reservations but they never did that. We were forced to rush and fix the tours by ourselves! The breakfast was supposed to be served at 6:30 am according to the reception, the woman working at the breakfast didn't want to serve us since it was 25th of December and they do start later(?). She and the receptionist had a discussion about that. In few words, you get what you pay, no mor not less.
