It was our first time at the Royal Park but second time in Kyoto. Really great location. Right off Kawaramachi on Sanjo. Lots of buses and also a very short walk to both Sanjo subway stations (just down the street on other side of bridge). Karasuma is also only 1 big ave away from Kawaramachi (Citibank is on Kawarasuma and Shijo; lots of buses stop around there too and it is very walkable to Royal Park even with a stroller). On rainy days, Teramachi (covered arcade) is also just 1/2 short block away, and leads directly to Nishiki Market. Shinshindo Boulangerie downstairs makes a great variety of delicious pastries and sandwiches for takeouts, and is a great cafe for sit down service. Hotel rooms are not big. Many face the back alley, so it was hard to tell if it's morning or not yet. Not much space to hang clothes or store bulky luggages. We traveled with a 2 year old and a stroller. It was very comfortable for all of us, but we made an effort to stay organized so our child has enough space to play.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were on the larger side when compared with typical Japanese hotels. The front desk was very helpful and the breakfasts were good.

The hotel is directly across from Kyoto Station, making it extremely convenient, especially if you have been traveling for a long time. The sign for the hotel is not large, however, but not difficult to find. The staff is polite and speaks enough English to communicate, and is very helpful with directions. Buses are available across the street to virtually any location in the area. The hotel is clean, though the rooms are small (as is typical in Japan). We were pleasantly surprised to have strong wifi in our room. We were disappointed that there was no Japanese bath.

We wanted to stay at a traditional ryokan, with the tatami mats and food service. We got freezing cold rooms, and although we had the room service for supper and the following morning breakfast, we felt rushed by our server. She basically hurled our food at us, as she had a large group (of teenagers, it turned out) to also serve. I could not use the […] bathing room for women because there were teenage boys in there. Management told my husband to go to the convenience store on the corner to get ice.　　While eating,　ｔｈｅｒｅ was no music piped in, and also none available on the tv. Atmosphere needs work. Tatami rooms were very traditional. location awesome for downtown kyoto. Futons were not as good as other tatami rooms I've stayed in. The onsen seems to be fed from normal water and then chlorinated. Could do with some cleaning there. The bath and shower in room were a great size. The best of both worlds, the communal bath experience but with the privacy also of your own bathroom and wc in your room. The tatami mats with the sleeping mattresses but quite comfortable. 場所は駅からも近く、錦市場からも近いので、すごく便利で良いと思います。指摘事項は、各階のトイレが臭いので、廊下やエレベーターホールまで匂いがしたことです。トイレの消臭剤を変えていただいたり、廊下にお香を焚くなりしていただければ、快適と思います。朝食の湯どうふのおばんざいは、おいしかったです。

非常に便利な場所にあり，買い物にも観光にも不自由はありませんが，部屋の洗面台が非常に狭くて使いにくいこと，アメニティが最小限で大浴場には何も置かれていないこと，大浴場の清掃がやや行き届いていないこと，エントランス以外のフロアの共用部分が古く暗い印象であること･･･など，いくつか残念な点がありました。細かいことを気にしない方ならば問題ないと思いますが・・・。

여러 온천을 가 보았지만 가격대비 최악의 온천이라 여겨진다. 아마도 교토라는 지역적 특성과 주변 고가의 료칸대비 저렴한 곳을 선택했기 때문이라 여겨진다. 염두에 두고 있는 료칸은 다른 지역을 이용하는 편이 좋을 듯 싶다. 한국의 대중탕을 지하에 하나 설치 해 놓았을 뿐...온천을 기대했다면 절대 비추.

這是我住過服務最棒的飯店,飯店房間乾淨又可體驗塌塌米傳統日式房間,還有大澡堂。飯店人員很主動細心提供資訊,英文也能溝通. 如果是要逛京都的各大名寺,買公車一日券，飯店外面的馬路上就有公車10分鐘就能到達清水寺,到京都車站也很快，附近又很多好吃的店,生活機能非常方便，位置鬧中取靜。這絕對是個我會想要再住一次的飯店

Diese traditionelle japanische Unterkunft/Hotel liegt sehr zentral und in unmittelbarer Naehe der Haupteinkaufsstrasse und mehrerer Buslinien. Mit dem japanischen Fruehstueck waren wir sehr zufrieden und das Angebot hat bereits am 2. Tag variiert ! Sehr freundliches Personal und saubere Zimmer.

Trevligt om än lite neutral framtoning. Det hade gärna fått vara lite mysigare. Dock var all service bra och hotellet var funktionellt. Plus för närhet till centrum och tex. matmarknaden på Nishiki road. Jag kan rekommendera hotellet även om det var i dyraste laget.

je m'attendais à un "vrai" ryokan (style maison traditionnelle en bois) alors que c'est un petit immeuble en dur où les chambres sont construites dans le style japonais avec les tatamis par terre. Même chose pour les bains, tabouret et baquets en plastic, faux bois.
