"7/10 - okay for a for quiet vacation"
For: a helpful English-speaking reception (though most other staff don't speak any English), okay food (fish and pasta). Room interior 3.5/5 (TV out of order), but quite clean and a good internet connection. Great weddings at night. Against: boulder-strewn beach - those who don't walking on sharp stones are confined to the pool (the pool isn't crowded […] though). Also, It is best to be car-based to be able to go to Syracusa for sight seeing or to Augusta close by for shopping. Booked very early so the price was reasonable. hôtel très correct, belle piscine au bord de la mer mais pas de plage (pierre volcanique avec des vagues, impossible de se baigner), personnel très sympathique, grande chambre avec balcon. hôtel situé au calme au bord de mer, un peu perdu si on veut sortir, il faut une voiture.

Struttura nuova, curata e pulita. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Gradevole la piscina e l'area circostante. Cucina apprezzabile. Ben segnalato e facile da trovare (località Brucoli, fuori Augusta). Note dolenti: niente spiaggia e isolamento dal paese. Per qualsiasi acquisto è necessario recarsi ad Augusta in auto. "One night OK"
07/05/14 Salt_City_Sue Salt Lake City, Utah
This hotel seemed to cater to weddings and weekly renters but we stayed only 1 night. We had an attic-style room with extreme slanting celing that adult heads bump into. The room had a porch but not so much as a chair on it. The bed was OK and the bath was large, but the upscale rectangular toilet had gotten an uncomfortable round replacement seat. We had a terrific dinner from the chef, but a terrible breakfast that might be offered in a cheap Interstate motel without coffee/espresso refills! The property is not in the town of Brucoli, but up on a cape of meandering suburban roads, rather difficult to find. The incredibly rough coastal lava along the shore was fascinating: it seems to be the backdrop for their many weddings. Staff varied wildly from couldn't care less rude to very helpful and polite.
"Average hotel, worse restaurant ever !!"
06/30/14 Laetitia M Geneva, Switzerland
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, my husband and we do not understand how the reviews for this hotel are so good !! I did not really enjoyed my stay there, At the first time we were pretty happy as the outsides are really well kept. The room we had was stinking, it was dark, and sticky ( badly clean!) we had to ask for another room, then it was ok. As we had to wait until our room was ready( the first one!) we decided to try the hotel restaurant... A REAL DISASTER !! We've been waiting for ages, HOURS ! until we had the menu... well there is no such thing as a card or a menu, just a thin sheet of paper with 3 things written on it and the best surprise: ABSOLUTELY NO PRICE ON IT!! We asked the waitress were where the prices and he said we had to go to the reception at the end of our lunch.Fine, we were hungry... After waiting for more than 1 hour, my husband had pasta that were completely uncooked, after an other hour we had a breaded veal ( escalope panée)... In the plate was ONLY the escalope panée, nothing with it ( no pasta or vegetable , not even a little piece of lemon!!)... plus it was dry.. terribly poor food. We finally went to the reception to pay and I was about to say how unhappy I was. The guy at the reception looked at us, thought, and then wrotte down 30 euros !!! I said: " NO WAY!!" and he asked me: " Then how much?" I looked at him so badly crossed he finally wrapped his piece of paper and we did not pay anything.
"Friendly hotel in peaceful location"

Spent a week here whilst visiting the east of Sicily. We booked an apartment which was very spacious and well equipped. It would have been possible to cook your own meals ( we didn't!) But it was nice to be able to make cups of tea. Staff were very welcoming and most spoke some English. Restaurant was OK but with a very limited menu and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent, especially the orange juice which we made ourselves from the local oranges As others have said this is a popular venue for weddings. There were 4 during the week we were there. There seemed to be very few other hotel guests. Lovely swimming pool with views of Mount Etna. The hotel is in a remote location, so you definitely need a car. There are several restaurants within 10 minutes drive, especially in Brucoli village. We visited Syracuse, Ragusa, Taormina and Mount Etna. All easily driveable in a day. Also about 30 mins to Catania airport.
"Rustic resort with fantastic views"
09/05/13 Maria K Mechelen, Antwerpen, Belgium
Located at sea side, this large territory residence hotel is like a resort: swimming pool, relax areas, restaurant..all is nice, clean and comfortable. There were so many other guests around, so it was very quiet and peaceful. The staff is friendly and speaks best English we heard on our 16-day stip in Sicily. The room is actually a little 2-store home with large terrace, sitting room, bathroom and sleeping room.
"not long enough!"

Myself, husband and daughter stayed here for a week,as our friend's son was getting married here. What a fabulous place! We stayed in an apartment (114) which was very clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The gardens and outside facilities were beautifully kept. The pool was safe and very clean. The food was very good but as we only ate dinner twice here, once in the restaurant and once at the wedding I can honestly say it was good and varied. The breakfasts were a good value continental fare and the coffee was simply superb. AS we stayed a week we got a good deal on the price by booking direct. The staff were efficient, unobtrusive and very nice. We will be returning here next year to continue our exploration of Sicily. You will need a car and distances are longer than you think and there are a few facilities in Brucoli and a fabulous bakery!!!!
"Fantastic wedding location!"
06/04/13 PasiGlobeTrotter Zurich, Switzerland
Our friends got married in this hotel and I have to say the hotel is absolutely perfect for romantic weddings. We stayed three nights and stayed in room 119 (second floor, more like an apartment than a standard hotel room). Rooms were really nice and clean. Few minus points: Hotel restaurant doesn't mention the meal prices, they just add them in your room price. We asked about the prices and the answer was really vague. You just have to wait until you check out to see what you paid. Food was pretty good though. We ironed two shirts as they were just a bit wrinkled, and they charged 5€ per shirt. That was a big overkill. Overall, we really loved the hotel. It was easy to find thanks to those hundreds of signs starting the moment you leave the highway.
"Great but depends on what you want"
11/10/12 JB30 UK
My wife and I wanted a relaxing time before going to Taormina and that is exactly what we got. We had a residence room which was huge for the two of us. There was a kitchen and lounge area which were not very usable mainly because it was so hot we kept the outside doors closed and air con on, this made it a bit dark inside. But that wasn't the point of staying here, the pool area was very nice and spacious with plenty of beds and a great view out to sea. Breakfast was fine for continental style, the evening meals were good but a bit repetitive. You need a car as the location is very remote, but there are plenty of places within 10 minutes including a must if you like Pizza - the Red Lion (of all names!) in Augusta. This area of Sicily is not as touristy as others, but that made it more of an adventure. I can't write this review without mentioning the weddings. Yes there was one almost every day, but these added rather than detracted from our visit as the rooms are far enough away from the noise (fireworks excepted!) but you get to see everyone in their sunday best. The fact the place is so popular for weddings should tell you something about the quality of the setting and service levels. Finally all the staff were helpful in particular the manager Stefano. If we wanted another relaxing break then we would return.

We booked for three and turned up in four... they accommodated us in a larger apartment, with kitchen and garden! Wonderful. The complex is kept very clean, staff is friendly, polite and would do anything to make you feel welcomed. I have read other reviews complaining about a poor breakfast, but I don't see the point, lunch and dinner food at the hotel restaurant is delicious and affordable, and you can go out in the morning to the near by village of Brucoli to get your fresh fish (off the road, from the local fishermen!) and other local delicacies. There is a small fruit and veg shop where we found dates tomato, salad onions and local cetrangoli, which are to die for. Mix that with seasoning and Sicilian oregano, and you will never want to go back home. You do need to hire a car if you stay for a week or so as the residence is very easy to get to but not central to any large resort. We did not use the SPA so I can't comment on that, but anything else made our stay absolutely idyllic. Finally, do make an effort to get up early in the morning to watch the sunrise, it is just mind blowing! I can't wait to go back.
"Very good stay"

"It's a resort!!"
05/21/12 DJoan2012 Sacramento, California
We spent 1 week at Capo Campolato and I wished I had booked more time there. It is a few miles out of the town and the views are spectacular. Our room was a small apartment, full kitchen and bedroom. It is quiet, feels remote, and the grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff was awesome. Dinning is four course meals but since we're not used to eating late we had the option of fixing something in our room. When we did eat in the dinning room they were wonderful about letting us order only the amount of courses we wanted. Most sights to see on that side of the island are less than an hour away and after a day of sightseeing it was great to return to this apartment and not a hotel room.
