Simple and cheap in the downtown area. Perfect for getaway weekend. It has a free parking and free wifi. Easy to chill out in the good condition there. The service is good. No complains.Genuine Expedia guest review
"difficult to get there"
Hotel was fine. In an area being renovated, rerouting of streets under construction made locating more difficult than it should have been. Traffic not hotel's fault, i would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was there for the conference I'm a licensed missionary I feel the prices were high due to the Conf. The hotel did. Offer anything to the guest for free even the shuttles were parked They made a lot of money from the event they should show some AppreciationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close enough to the city center"
The room was ok, it was updated and comfortable. The carpet could have been cleaner, but it seemed ok over all. The area is a little sketchy, but its in an industrial part of the city so there isn't any foot traffic around the hotel. We were in town for the Ram/Packers game, so we took a taxi into the city which only cost around $10. The breakfast was […] great and the service was really nice. I would stay here again. "Disappointing Continental Breakfast"
The hotel was clean and smoke free. The young lady at the desk when we checked in, Serena was her name, is very personable and helpful. She explained all the rules of the hotel and also pointed out all the amenities. On the morning of Oct 16th, we went down to breakfast about 8:30 am. It is my understanding the breakfast was available until 10:00 am. […] The breakfast was to feature bisquits and gravy. When we got down to the breakfast room, the gravy was gone and when my friend approached the gentleman at the desk, he informed her he was not going to put any more gravy out. We weren't the only ones that wanted the bisquits and gravy either. Also the breakfast bar was running low on the pastries and he made no attempt to replenish those either. All in all, the breakfast was very disappointing. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close to most sights"
Mostly difficult getting to and from the hotel with the layout of the streets, constantly changing names without any notice. The carpets were stained in the elevator down the hallways and in the room. Reusing the same gravy mix for several days ( not good).Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not So Bad"
The hotel is right off the highway and within 5 minutes from Downtown if you are driving. The location is not the best but my friends and I felt safe. It was lite up very well at night and they did have security on site. We were in the city for the Joyce Meyers conference and it served the purpose. What I did not like was the complimentary breakfast. […] The first morning biscuits and gravy was served and the next day it looked like the remainder of the biscuits and gravy were set out. What happened to yogurt, banana's, boiled eggs? Those are just a few suggestions. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"This is not Downtown.."
This hotel is not downtown. It is about 2 miles north. There is nothing near the hotel except for an adult entertainment store with live shows in it. It is a very scary neighborhood. My brother and I were travelling and went to check in. They did not have rooms with 2 beds in it for us even though we made the reservation 2 months in advance. We had […] to share a bed for the weekend. We asked if they could provide a roll a bed and were informed that it would cost $20 per night extra. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Cheap but Dirty!"
The room was at a great rate. The outside of the hotel was nice and look fairly new. The room was gross! Windows, curtains, carpets, bedding, dressers and walls had a variety of stains on them, looked as they never cleaned them. Carpet and floors were dirty, we wore sandals in the room and while we showered. Thanks goodness we brought our own pillows […] and blankets! We had a non-smoking room, but there were plenty of burns on carpet and bedding, big burns not just little ones. Will not be staying here again! I am willing to pay the extra money to stay in walking distance from Bush Stadium and in a clean room. We usually stay at the Millennium, but we thought about saving some cash this trip, but it was not worth it. I was very uncomfortable staying in that room! "Not a great stay for families"
The Carpet in our room and in the hallways and elevators looked filthy. A fight broke out in the middle of the might in the hallway and woke our children up. I dislike hotel rooms where the bathroom sink is in with the main part of the hotel room. I'd definitely would not stay at a days inn again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great stay, don't be scared of location"
The staff was great, humorous and quick to help. When you first realize where you're located, you will freak out. But the hotel is brand new and we didn't have any problems. It's the abandoned side of downtown St. Louis, so it's actually pretty quiet. You cannot walk to anywhere, but a taxi will take you to the stadium for 7-10 dollars, 2 min drive […] tops. Overall, I was happy. I would try to pay more and stay right next to everything next time if I can, but if I had to use this place again I would. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was ok. In a horrible area. The bed spread had holes in it. The breakfast was pretty decent. I just wish there were eggs and a little more variety of cereal.Genuine Expedia guest review
"do not stay here"
HORRIBLE. Cigarette burns in the blankets, pulled back the blanket and there were cigarette burns in the fitted sheet. Nice... and to top it off, it appeared as if the sheets were not changed from the last occupant, (even though the beds were made). Nasty stains in the carpet, and walls needed painting badly. Desk personel were pleasant, but the reviews […] i read before booking this hotel were not honest. Neighborhood was scary. Oh, and clientelle was beyond questionable. noise in the room above us went on all night, tromping, yelling, etc. And seriously, pretty sure I saw a hooker in the hallway. "Dissatisfied with attempted scammer"
The service and rooms were great, but a guest from another room called my room and my parent's room trying to scam us out of our money. The person said that he was calling from the front desk and the hotel's system went down and all payment information was lost. He stated that I needed to give him my credit card information over the phone if I wanted […] to remain in the room. I declined and when I told him that I was coming down to talk to him face to face, he hung up. I went to the front desk and the lady didn't know what I was talking about. Hotel was located in very bad area of town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location is dreadful. It's not far from the arch, but most everything around the hotel is abandoned or industrial. The room itself was nice but the a/c was not turned on when we arrived (106 degrees outside) and the room didn't cool off until after midnight. I wouldn't recommend this hotel because of the location. The staff were friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not really downtown"
The hotel is not in a great location. It really is not in downtown St. Louis but rather a 5 or so minute drive from downtown. The room was clean but housekeeping didn't come until 5 or 6 every afternoon to clean. This usually fell right in the timeframe when I had come back from my conference and was getting ready to go out for the night. I'd stay again […] if I couldn't get something closer to downtown. "Not bad for the price"
The hotel itself is pretty nice. The area surrounding the hotel is a slightly run down industrial area. But, the hotel more than makes up for the area. "Days Inn Downtown"
We stayed at the Days Inn Downtown for two nights on Memorial Day weekend. No, it's not really downtown, but if you have a car it's about a two minute drive. I wouldn't want to walk to the downtown area from there, but I don't really feel like there's too much to do downtown anyway (we were planning on visiting other areas). The area IS weird, as other […] reviewers have said, but not once did I feel threatened or afraid. It's an industrial area, and completely desolate--we saw MAYBE two people around during the day and at night. The only thing that's creepy is how deserted it is. The room was clean and looked fine. We didn't see any bugs or the hairs of previous guests or anything. The hallway was a little gross and smelled like smoke (I guess the smoking rooms are not confined to a certain floor) and the elevator was kind of junky, but those are really my only complaints. It's not like I had to sleep in the elevator or hallway, so it didn't really matter. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel, not so nice location"
The hotel itself was very nice. It looked like it was new, or at least recently renovated. It is not located in downtown...It is an $8-12 cab ride to downtown/Busch/The Landing, so don't think you can walk home. It is located in a bit of a shady area as well, but I did not feel unsafe while in the hotel itself or in the parking lot.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Days Inn Downtown - not "downtown""
This hotel should NEVER have been listed on Hotels.com. It's in a bombed-out neighborhood of St Louis, with no surrounding amenities. Its only reason for existence is to draw travelers off the nearby Interstate. The money I "saved" staying here was eaten up by paying taxi fare, since it was too dangerous to be out walking at night. It turned out to […] be four miles from the venue I was working, so that was a lot of taxi fare. My last night I had to leave my room because of partying in the room next door. "Days Inn Downtown St. Louis"
The location of the hotel is NOT safe. You should provide shuttle bus service to connect the hotel with downtown. Because of my conference schedule, I had to return to the hotel in the evening, and I was very worried and scared every time I had to get out of the car to enter the hotel. It would make a big difference knowing that there is someone there- […] the bus driver- while you are entering the hotel in the evening. In addition, you would create a job for someone in need, which is a good thing to do. I would definetely stay at the hotel again and recommend it to others if I knew that there is a shuttle bus and more security around the hotel. The person at the front desk was extremely nice and efficient. The room was clean. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A solid hotel in a not so solid neighborhood"
Pulling up to the Days Inn in St. Louis, I thought I had made a gigantic mistake. It looks like the hotel was dropped in the middle of an industrial park--long, grey buildings that could be the set of a horror movie. We ended up being pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and new looking. The staff was very polite and accomidating. The breakfast […] wasn't bad either. I would recommend this to someone looking to head to St. Louis where they need a place to lay their head for an affordable price--not necessarily for a weekend on the town. "Days Inn St. Louis Downtown"
Will not go back, and cannot recommend. The hotel staff was friendly and competent, but the facility is sub-par even for a Days Inn. This hotel is NOT downtown. "not quite downtown"
Hotel is a decent midrange hotel, hard-working staff. Hotel is near I-70 access but a mile or two from downtown in a gritty industrial area. But if you think you can take a cab there and walk to eateries, you will […] be very disappointed. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Days Inn Downtown St Louis not in great area"
We booked here because it was supposedly close to the Children's hospital & go decent rate. The hotel was well maintained and clean. It's not a very good neighborhood and as a woman, I would have been anxious to drive there if I didn't have someone with me. Next to rail and trucking lines, and metal recycling & lots of delapidated buildings around. […] The usual breakfast fare was provided - though biscuits were somewhat hard & gravy was runny & bland. But waffle maker, cereal & juices were fine. I would not book here again just because of the location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Too Far Away"
I was in St. Louis for the Gateway Classic and the convenience of the hotel was not very good. It was too far and not easy to find. The cab drivers had a hard time finding it. Only reason why I chose it was because it was one of the cheapest rates I could find at the last minute.Genuine Expedia guest review
Accomodating. Pleasant Staff. Had to change our comfortor...there were at least 10 cigarette burn marks on it in our non-smoking room. The room was fairly clean. The elevator was broken. It was close to the cardinals stadium but in a kinda scary part of town. It's close to downtown, but not so close that you could really walk anywhere. Plus the surrounding […] area isn't exactly the kind of neighborhood you want to stroll through. The decor inside the hotel was nice and it looked new. "Sketchy Area, but Great Hotel & Value"
My mom & I stayed here for 2 days during a Women's conference in Sept. The hotel is in a really funky, industrial area. There is an adult bookstore & tatoo place down the street, but really didn't see any cars or people around. However, we did see 2 wild dogs in the middle of the street as we were driving about a block away for the hotel. Despite how […] bad this area sounds, it's really not that bad & super convenient & close to downtown. I would not recommend if you don't have a car or don't plan on using cabs. Probably not safe to walk or wait for buses. Since we did have a car, i did feel totally safe. The lobby & room were super clean & the staff very nice. The room was also very modern & new. It had a dorm size refridgerator w/freezer, microwave & coffee maker. They also provide a continental breakfast, mostly carbs, bread, muffins, cereal. No meat or fresh fruit. They do have a "business center" which consists of a really slow computer with no printer so i couldn't print out my boarding pass, but I had my husbad check me in online and fax it and it was waiting for me at the front desk the next morning. All in all, a very good value if you look past the location aethetics and are more into location convenience, property & room cleanliness. I am planning on staying here again next year. "BEWARE; ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!"
PHOTO WAS VERY MISLEADING; I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED IN MY STAY AT DAY’S INN DOWNTOWN ST LOUIS. I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO BE SURROUNDED BY THE “RUN DOWN PART OF TOWN.” MY HUSBAND AND I HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS, AT 2:44 IN THE MORNING SOME DRUNKEN GRIL WAS BANGING ON EVERYONE’S DOORS TRYING TO FIND HER ROOM.
