"Great hotel next to the Allen Event Center"
We loved it! We attended the Bryan Adams concert @ the Allen Event Center and this hotel is across the street from the Center. There are lots of shops and restaurants that are in walking distance. After the show, we strolled back across the street to our room. It was a great night!

"Nice hotel, smelly room"
Unfortunately we stayed the same weekend as several tennis teams and soccer teams, two weddings and a cheer competition. It was extremely busy! The hotel itself is beautiful, but I immediately noticed a musty smell when I entered my room. The bed was very uncomfortable, but I'm also used to sleeping on a very soft foam mattress. My only other complaint was the tile around the indoor pool. VERY slippery and dangerous for anyone walking around it.

"Rude reception"
I don't know if there was other grips or just other people but when it was my turn to check in , they told us to come back at 230. Now I know that is normal check in time but everyone before me checked in. Would of been nice if they said something about that.

"Allen courtyard"
3/day 2/night was great in Allen. Always plenty to do around there. The hotel was super nice, breakfast was good, pool was exceptional. One down side with the room;the room had an odd musky smell like dirty laundry. Second downside was the shower in the bathroom. The style created a problem with water collecting on the floor.

"Great hotel for family vacation"
We stayed for 2 nights in a room with double beds (5 adults, 3 kids). The room was very nice. The indoor pool was also wonderful for the kids--especially since it was raining during our stay.

"A shocking disappointment."
Very disappointed. Have always enjoyed Courtyard hotels, but not this time. Bed was the worst. The television was situated so that you couldn't watch it while in bed. When arising and going to breakfast, there was the worst smell of sewage in the hotel. For the price, not a fair exchange.

"Tremendous service in a really nice Courtyard"
My colleagues and I stayed in this Courtyard for a coupe of days and had some meetings planned. We were just going to meet a potential customer in the lobby but asked for a meeting room at the last minute. The staff was amazingly quick to respond and help accommodate the request. Best service I have had in a hotel in ages. In addition, the overall hotel is much nicer than a standard Courtyard (I have stayed in a lot of them) and is easy walking distance to several restaurants. Great staff, nice facility, clean.

"Inconvienent room change"
I stayed for 2 nights. The first night was a bit chilly. Outside temp dropped to below freezing and I set the heater to 80. Woke up in room that was not 80. I mentioned it to the front desk the next morning on my way out. When I returned, I was told that I was moving to another room. The new rooms heater worked much better. Not what I expected from a Marriott hotel.

"Disappointing"
I have a few problems with this hotel, all of which began with the check-in. The clerk was completely disinterested in the whole ordeal. When I asked for a rollaway bed, he gave me the standard: "We have many requests for these, but I'll ask and if there is one, I'll make sure to send it to your room." He didn't ask and put it out of his mind immediately. The reason why I know is that I asked the following day and the manager told me they had a few available up until this morning, when they gave them all out. Continuing with the check-in process, he gave me the keys without saying a word. I had to ask what room we were in, at which point he pointed to the room # on the key holder. Then he waved the next person over. Wait, I said, I paid for the breakfast option - how does that work. Now he's really annoyed as he reached into the little plastic box, searched around for some paper, then pulled out something, then wrote us two vouchers for breakfast. Moving right along, I got the "executive suite" which was supposed to come with a king sized bed and a double foldout couch for a total room capacity of 4. The foldout couch was probably the narrowest double bed ever. Two kids, one is the size of an adult, had hard time sleeping on it. The breakfast place opens at 7 and stays open for whole 3 hours. Having to leave and be somewhere at 7:20, the breakfast place was totally useless for us for the first day we stayed there.

"Great place due to convenience!"
Busy Valentine's weekend when the wife and I stayed. All about shops, shops, and more shops. Shower, WINDOWS, and couch were not clean in room. That was our only complaint. Overall experience was great considering. Do not eat at Paradise Bakery next door. Yuk! Do eat at Kelly's next door for dinner. Awesome!

"Wedding Weekend"
The hotel was in great shape and the clerks were helpful. The hotel is decorated well and the courtyard is pretty. The only thing I would change is adding more mirrors in the room. A little cramped to get ready with only one mirror and two people.

"Nice stay!"
The hotel was very nice and upscale. We did not get a chance to experience all the amenities the hotel offered but the staff was pleasant to talk to and our room was very nice and clean. This is going to sound weird but some of you will know what I am talking about when I say the hotel smelled nice as well.

"Nice and clean hotel."
My Experience was OK . However The hotel provided no brochures or travel information for visitors to the area. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful.

"Above Average"
The rooms were nice but we were gone an entire day and had to call to have the room freshened up. In all honesty the front desk sent people up right away after we called. The pillows are not good for sleeping - I am not sure what the problem is because they are soft. Finally for some reason both my wife and myself had our eyes puff up after sleeping in their bed. The rooms were nice and it may have been an isolated incident. The pool was nice and towels were clean.

Our second time here and it's still the best hotel surrounded by lots of shopping, restaurants and things to do. The staff is so kind and courteous. Beautiful hotel, will stay there again.

"More like a Motel 6"
No room service, no valet, moldy showers, hair all over bathroom floor. Bedding didn't smell clean and the towels were so starchy you'd think they'd never of been washed.

"giant courtyard; lousy gym & pillows"
The nicest place to stay in Allen. Tons of good shopping and restaurants near by. Extensive meeting space but the rooms are a bit worn, smelly and the worst polyester wad pillows ever. The equipment was super cheat and two of the three treadmills didn't even work. Not much equipment either which was surprising given how large this Courtyard was. The largest I have ever seen. Staff was nice, but told me they didn't have mouthwash because it didn't sell well. I was thinking-- because most hotels at $150/night have it complimentary in the room.

"Bug bites"
First room smelled terribly. Second room was less smelly but during the night, I was bitten five or six times by something unpleasant. I have stayed at rooms for half of the price in the area that were better. I will say, the staff is top notch. Incredibly polite and accommodating. Had documents to print, scan, and email. Very helpful. I'm sure it was just the particular room(s).

Sort of a personal problem, but for a little bit more, you could have reclining couches, or a recliner in the room...or available. I cannot sleep lying flat and pillows don't quite do it. My request at the desk was given attention and a laid back hard chair was furnished for the last night. Was better, but no comfortable place to put my feet. It got real hard before the night was through, hence, I used a lot of pillows. A Laz-e-boy would have been perfect.

"Perfect Shopping Location"
Excellent location by outlet mall and many other stores, restaurants and bars. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was courteous and helpful. Our room had a balcony and it was great to sip a drink outside in the evening overlooking the city lights. I definitely will stay here again.

"Very disappointed."
We had booked for 3 nights, had to check out after the first night. The first room we were given smelled like cat liter box. The second room was slightly better, but still smelled of pets. I know this is a pet friendly hotel, but now I know never to stay at one. You just can't get the smell of dogs or cats out. The lobby is nice & kept clean. The staff was very accomadating & understanding about our dissatifaction. The breakfast was not very good, eggs were dry & tasteless. overall not my kind of hotel. Sorry.
