We spent two days at the Beaumont over Thanksgiving. What a beautiful restoration of an historic building! The owners were very attentive and the whole staff went out of their way to be helpful. Beautiful room (308)!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A MUST STAY"
I have been to many hotels, I have been to many so called 5 star hotels...The Beaumont Hotel has to be one of the nicest, cleanest, well staffed places I have EVER visited, just the history alone and how well the hotel has been restored, maybe better than its former glory??!!. I wished that my stay was for more than one day...the bed was the most comfortable […] and the attention to detail was really quite brilliant - 1st time I have ever seen a beautifully presented 'rag box' in the bathroom ...for those dirty jobs ie don't use our beautiful towels to wipe down your shoes!! I will be back again soon (fortunately we live just 2 hours away) - If you are reading this and are unsure whether to go...you should GO, you will not be disappointed. "Great couples get away"
We were treated to a great stay, our room and a whole hotel was just wonderful. The building is beautiful, so glad the King's saved it. Great little town. The dining in the hotel was very good. Thanks for a great time.Genuine Expedia guest review
Beautiful historic hotel in great location. Excellent service. Have eaten at restaurant several times previously and food has always been great. Only negative thing I could say is the bed could be a little softer as it was too firm for my taste. Would stay somewhere else next time just because of the beds.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful, Beautiful Beaumont"
Perfect grand old hotel for a romantic getaway. Outstanding in every way.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great property, beautifully restored, perfect location. Would book it again if I ever make it back to Ouray.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beaumont Hotel - great spot on the Western Slope"
We loved our stay at the Beaumont. The town is friendly and the views gorgeous. The hotel itself was an experience with lots of history and the room was beautiful with lots of space and a great bathroom. Being off season, the fine dining was unavailable so we ate across the street at the Bon Ton which was a delight. This was a great way to spend our […] 25th anniversary! "Beaumont Hotel in Ouray -- historic gem"
The Beaumont is a small hotel that exudes historic, classic beauty. It was masterfully restored about ten years ago. The rooms are outfitted with period furniture befitting an upscale century-old establishment. Even today, this is the place to stay in Ouray. A newspaper clipping in the lobby reports that Oprah was a guest some five months earlier. Don't […] expect room service or WiFi. Think of Beaumont Hotel more as an elegant bed and breakfast featuring grand ballroom, piano, and staircase. It is charming, quaint, and classy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel, great restaurant"
02/27/14 Nancy W Menlo Park, California
The staff at this western hotel was very accomodating and helpful. The room was pleasantly vintage and had high end towels. But the real surprise of this hotel was the restaurant. After walking the town looking for a likely spot for dinner, we decided that the hotel might be our best bet. We were not disappointed. It was small and cozy, (we were there when the daytime temperatures were in the teens, so eating out in their patio was not an option), and it had an interesting menu that was well executed. This restaurant will definitely be our go-to place when we revisit Ouray.

What a wonderful and beautiful historic hotel. The ambiance was so romantic. Our room was super clean and the old fashioned claw tub was so relaxing. The view from our room was of main street and the spectacular Ouray mountains. We loved looking at the moon from the skylights too! Breakfast the next morning was so yummy. Chad and Jennifer were marvelous hosts and so accommodating. They have such a passion for their home and make it your home away from home. We can't wait to return and stay in another charming room!

My husband and I stayed here for my 50th Birthday. It was SO worth it! I felt special being in such beautiful surroundings. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. The hotel is the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in! The hospitality was great. Jennifer gave us suggestions where to eat breakfast and informed us of the history of the hotel. I highly recommend for a special experience!
"The Magical Mountain Hotel and Spa"
01/29/14 AE A Ridgway, CO
No... that's not the name of the Beaumont, but it should be... because everything happens apparently effortlessly on the part of the owners and staff - like magic. It is spotlessly clean, very quiet, incredibly tranquil and restful. I had the good fortune to stay in both a luxury room and a sweet suite, and I loved both. I also had a wonderful massage in the spa which made me feel appropriately "noodled." I came to the Beaumont on a self-imposed writing retreat and I was able to concentrate on my work and rest and rejuvenate at the same time. All thanks to Jen, Chad, Morgan and Liz... and the other staff who are so quiet and careful... you would think they were magical elves who do magical things just as a matter of course because they can. Thank you! I will be back.

Our stay here was a rich and unique experience. I was slightly concerned about staying in an old hotel but this one has been impeccably restored and I would recommend to all. The bathroom fixtures were Kohler and the water was specially softened. This combined with utmost cleanliness made our bathroom feel like a spa itself. The breakfast was of superbe quality. Morgan and Elizabeth were two employees who made the history come alive for us. A very special hotel!

Everything about our stay was excellent. Our room was first class, dining was very good, bar was fun in the evening. Good location. Street parking right next to the hotel. Hotel was quiet and relaxing in the evening. Recommended to our friends.
"Amazing hotel, Great trip"
01/05/14 Kevin K Ord, Nebraska
The Beaumont is an immaculately restored elegant hotel. The service was great, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful in providing historic information about the building and in recommending activities. Dining in the Grand Ballroom exceeded our already high expectations! The food was as incredible as the environment. The spa was a great place to relax and unplug. Overall amazing experience, we will definitely be making this an annual trip!
"Thanksgiving Dinner in the Grand Ballroom"

The story of the Beaumont Hotel is an on-going saga. Some people say it should be a museum. I'm happy to report that it just keeps getting better, and we are privileged to experience this beautiful edifice as a living, active way to enjoy Ouray, CO. After having a less than satisfactory Thanksgiving Day Buffet two years ago, we were a bit hesitant to give it another try, but the place is such a perfect setting we gave it a go. I'm SO glad we did. As it was two years ago there was not a bird in sight. I asked the delightful young man who was serving, "Where's the turkey?" He pointed out that he was carving from it in a deep pan and would I like a special cut. I felt great that the bird was being used for food, not just décor. Our faith in the Beaumont Hotel is restored, and we plan to have many more dinners there,

I took my husband here as a complete surprise - we love small mountain towns, and he'd never even heard of it - except that CW McCall lives there. So I packed him into a car, and we drove to this undisclosed location - and he LOVED it. Slam dunk! This hotel was gorgeous - the most beautiful in Ouray, CO, hands down! Upon arrival, the desk attendant was pleasant, and actually walked with us up to our room. She gave a quick tour, and offered her assistance should we need anything. The accommodations were beautiful, and extremely luxurious & comfortable. We ate dinner in the grand ballroom, and spent half as much as we have been known to - and ate like kings! I'm serious - we've had some really terrible food that cost twice as much, but our compliments go out to the chef! The food was spectacular, and I wished I could eat more! The complementary breakfast was fantastic, and the only thing I would add, is some kind of protein - there were hard boiled eggs, and everything else was more carb-rich. There were ample choices, though, and the service was great. We walked around and took photographs of the really cool antiques & styles all over the hotel. We wandered into the book store downstairs, and made some purchases - they have both local books as well as current best-sellers etc. The town had a lot to offer, and we'll definitely be back! Overall, though, the hotel really made the trip!
"Not To Be Missed"

You should stay at the Beaumont Hotel if you heading to Ouray or will be anywhere near the area. The facilities are first rate and the food was great. The rooms are very comfortable and well-appointed. My wife enjoyed a massage in the spa. The service was exceptional. I had to stop the young lady working reception from going out in a snowstorm to bring our luggage in. This is one of the most unique places we have stayed.
