The pictures of the Condo was not at all what we received. The outdated accommodations definitely left us not impressed with the facility. Also, the construction was quite disruptive. We will not be returning or recommending this facility to anyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place to relax and enjoy the view"
10/13/13 Fibercoug Tacoma, Washington
We just spent 5 days in 608 and enjoyed it greatly. We have been staying at the Sand and Sea for years now and have always had a great time. The rooms have ceiling to floor windows across the entire front of the condo giving unbelievable views of the ocean and Tillamook Head. Sand and Sea is right on the prom so there is nothing to obstruct the views. The condo is well equipped including washer and dryer. The staff at the Sand and Sea are great and will do whatever it takes to make your stay great. The only negatives we had on this trip were they were doing construction on one of the elevators so they were down to one. We know the work has to be done so again it was no big deal. It also would be nice if the owner would update the TVs. They are so cheap now and the ones in the room are ancient. And add some music channels. The reception in the room was terrible and we could not get any music stations to come in clear. All in all we can't wait to get back to Seaside and the Sand and Sea.

If you want a nice comfy bed don't stay in this condo. I would guess the beds are about 15 years old. Even the egg crate toppers were so old that they are flatter than a pancake. I slept on the coach for 2 days (poor husband). The rest of the condo is not in too bad of shape. These were built in the 70's so definitely a step back in time. They have no air conditioning and circulation is poor. Need fans in the rooms. Bedroom windows face toward the outside walkways so I didn't feel safe leaving them open at night. Need window locks. I paid around$300 a night. Very disappoint ed.

The two bedroom condo my friends and I rented for a few nights was clean, well equipped and had an awesome view. I could sit and look at the ocean all day but even better was direct access to the beach. We appreciated all the HDTV's but didn't bother to turn them on, nature was way more interesting!
"Excellent value for larger accommodations"

We've stayed here a couple of times. Have stayed in Seaside many times, and I believe this is the best value for a larger unit. The one-bedroom unit we were in this time (#110) had a large living room (hide-a-bed, big recliner-rocker, additional rocking chair, and more), and there was a small but adequate dining area. Full-sized kitchen with a breakfast bar, with a nice set of supplies for cooking. The personnel have always been very friendly; this time we had a small maintenance request which was fulfilled by an extremely friendly man. You can easily accommodate 3-5 people for around $170-190/night here, with a significant amount of space. I've yet to find anyplace else in Seaside that offers that. Also, the "ocean-view" rooms have plenty of view for us. On the lower floors, like ours, you need to get on the balcony to get a good view of the coast, but once you get up to about the 3rd floor, you can get a pretty good view from inside ("ocean view" rooms are on the north side of the building, while "ocean front" face the ocean). If you want more space and have 3 or more people, this is a great value. If you want to go the cheapest possible for an ocean view, there are better choices, but I like this place very much.
"Lovely Well Equipped Unit - Lots of Light"

Our family group of 5 stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit 518-9 for 5 nights this past week. It has a partial view of the ocean to the side, and a panoramic view of mountains and city. It was very spacious, and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed to fix meals each day. There was plenty of storage places for clothing in the bedrooms, and food in the kitchen. And the unit even had its own washer and dryer. For the price we thought it was a good deal. There were only a couple of negatives: the mattress in the bedroom without bath was lumpy and hard (the other was quite firm). Also, one of the two elevators for the condos was totally dismantled and being rebuilt. The one elevator still working had been recently overhauled, yet was still very slow. We ended up taking the stairs most of the time, as did many other folks. There are carts to haul luggage, etc to and from the units which was helpful and saved a lot of trips up and down. Management and cleaning staff were pleasant when we needed something or had questions. We were told that once you stay at Sand and Sea you can come back off season at a two-for-one price, which is a good deal. If you're old enough, ask for a senior discount on the rates. We liked the location on the prom, plenty of parking, and the easy walking distance to downtown with restaurants and shops. We would stay here again, but probably get a unit on a higher floor for more privacy, as the units have ceiling to floor windows in the main living area, so you feel at times like you're in a fishbowl. It was great for the light and a view, but of course people across the street in apartments and down below could see you. Overall we really enjoyed staying at the Sand and Sea.
"Fantastic and affordable"

We ended up staying here after our room at the Seashore Hotel turned out to be an unclean, worn out disappointment. We arrived after hours and called the number on the door - the on duty attendant arrived within moments and was extremely helpful and very polite. We viewed a couple available units and chose one with a partial ocean view. Very well equipped and a well kept building. We were two couples sharing, so a full kitchen and 2 baths was very nice. We will definitely stay here again, and may even consider buying a unit in the building for the right price!
"Girls retreat from Unity Christian Ministry in Tacoma, WA"

OMG, we did not know what to expect when we opened the door to our room. All I can say is beautiful. The entire condo was nice from the bedrooms to the living room. I love how the owners decorated as well(516). Room 514 was nice, our Pastor and a few ladies stayed in that condo. As far as room 118, it needs a makeover as far as the living room furniture. All in all we had a great time riding the bikes and shopping. Thanks for everything. UNITY CHRISTIAN MINISTRY- GIRLS RETREAT
"A week in room 302.3"

Just got home from a week in Seaside. Upon entering the condo I was totally awestruck by the view. OMG. The condo has a whole wall of windows sky was a gorgeous blue and the ocean was right there! Condo is big with 2 nice size bedrooms with tons of room to put your clothes away so you're not living out of a suitcase. Nice deep jacuzzi tub in the master bath. Kitchen is very nice and well stocked with quality dishes, pans, coffee maker even a blender. No room for your food though we left ours in boxes piled in a corner. Checked in quickly received our room keys and remote controls to the 2tv's. piled our things on a luggage cart and took the elevator to the condo. Excellent view of the ocean from the third floor. And the promenade is just right in front. Pros: plenty of room, nice bathrooms and kitchen, friendly service, The View!! Cons:THE LIVINGROOM COUCH is so uncomfortable to sit on and sleep on. It's broken down so to be halfway comfortable you need to shove a couple pillows behind you and the kids slept on the floor because the hideabed was sooo uncomfortable. The king mattress in the master and the queen bed are extremely hard we woke up aching and didn't sleep much. On the day we left we found a foam pad under the queen bed sure would have come in handy! Next time I'm bringing my own but I won't stay in this condo unless they replace the couch. "Maid service" was just towel replacement. They didn't do anything else unsure if they were supposed to? Nice washer and dryer but don't forget your laundry soap our last day we went to the front desk and they gave us some no problem. The second day we found a piece of candy in the sheets that wasn't ours so we stripped the beds and the beds were made when we came back but that was the only time the beds were made except when we did them. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The second elevator was closed for repairs the whole week and the other elevator was very slow. The kids loved the indoor pool. If you want to find perfect sand dollars go out at low tide we found 40 in an hour right in front of our condo. A bbq on the balcony would have been nice. You can have fires on the beach at night. That was fun. We had dinner one night at Norma's food was excellent but a little pricey. So all in all the only disappointments were the housekeeping, broken elevator and that awful sofa oh and the beds. TV in the queen room was broken and in the closet but we didn't go there to watch tv so was ok though would have been nice to send the kids in there. the livingroom could have used some dusting around the tv it was pretty bad. Nice assortment of DVD'S. Will definitely stay again! And the weather was Beautiful the whole week.
"Perfect vacation for families"

We stayed in condo 116; a perfect one bedroom condo. The four of us had lots of room, full kitchen, bath, and laundry in the condo. We sat on the patio and could see the ocean. We were seconds from the seaside prom and the beach. It made it so easy to check in and forget about the car. We were able to play in the water and beach and come back to change and eat. It was so relaxing; the pool was warm and clean and the people were friendly. My kids are begging to go back. It fit our middle of the road budget in both price and the ability to bring our food and cook. Great, great vacation. Thank you Sand and Sea.
"Great condo on the Prom!!"
04/14/13 Cathy R Seattle, Washington
I brought my daughter and 4 granddaughters to Seaside during Spring Break. We stayed in Unit 412-13 which was the same unit I stayed in last year. The unit was just renovated prior to my stay last year. It is a spacious 2 bedroom unit with 2 bathrooms; plus a lovely living room & kitchen/dining area. Nice side view of the ocean/beach. The manager (Mary) and staff (Sarah) were so friendly and helpful!!! Also Peter in Maintenance was there within minutes to help set up the TV and Internet connection. They also offered various coupon books for some extra savings in attractions/shops. Our check-in was so easy ... we knew their hours and check-in policy. We arrived around 2 p.m. and were immediately given room keys. This is a great location - right on the Prom and minutes to the beach/shopping. The condo is nicely furnished - lots of dishes, bowls, pots & pans plus an stove/oven, microwave, large refrigerator and dishwasher. Plus a washer & dryer!! Since it was cold out, my grandchildren really loved the indoor heated pool!! No need to bring your own towels, since you can pick them up in the office, We walked to the Seaside Aquarium and local shops; plus went to the Outlet Mall. If you don't feel like cooking, there are several grocery stores nearby plus many of their favorite places -McDonald's, DQ and Subway. Know we'll be going back again next year!!!! Once you stay, they send you a promotion coupon to get 2 nights for the price of 1; this offer is for off-peak. You can also get the coupons on the Seaside Chamber of Commerce website.
