"Nothing short of Amazing"
Its almost like being at home, except of course the service, pool, beach, restaurant, and the condominium. Oh wait, it is different than being at home. A LOT DIFFERENT!

"Old but comfortable"
I was a little concerned when I first saw the outside of the building, it's old and a little rough around the edges. Once we got inside though all was wonderful! It is right on the prominade, steps away from the beach. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel. The beds were a bit small but comfy. The customer service was fantastic! Everyone was very nice and accommodating. We were there with kids and grandparents and all had a great time! Would stay again.

"Great hotel at a good price."
Great location. The 5th floor partial ocean view room was great. Our unit was semi newly remodeled, with a very modern kitchen and furniture and gas fireplace. The carpets need to be replaced, but everything else was newish. It sounds like the units vary in terms of how updated they are, so we are fortunate to have gotten a newer one. Excellent location. The weather was very cold and rainy and windy, so we spent most of the time in the hotel, but still felt like a vacation with the great ocean view and full wall of glass. We liked the washer and dryer in the unit too.

"Last minute booking just after Christmas"
We booked this condo just four days in advance for two days after Christmas. Given the last minute availability, we were very pleased! I imagine if we booked earlier, the (unit) scores would be even better! These condos are individually owned, so I imagine there is some variance. Regardless, they are spacious, functional and great for a family trip to the beach. Everything was clean and well kept. It is a block off the main downtown area, and on a great beach. Great family spot!

The pictures of the Condo was not at all what we received. The outdated accommodations definitely left us not impressed with the facility. Also, the construction was quite disruptive. We will not be returning or recommending this facility to anyone.

"Old and run down condo"
12/29/15 AnyK11 Seattle, Washington
Sand & Sea Condominiums in Vacasa website has not more than very nice pictures and good reviews but what an unpleasant surprise when we arrived to a very old and run down furniture with dirty and old appliances. The unpleasant surprise started a soon as we open the door a musty smell came out. Therefore, here are few things to consider: 1. The media center to our surprised was all messed up. All the HDMIs were mixed and we were unable to watch cable TV so we went out and rented a movie but the DVD didn’t work either. it seems to skip the movie every few minutes. We had to spend a few hours to understand how the cable/TV system was connected, for some reason It wasn’t connected the way it says on labels. 2. The kitchen is out dated and when I say out dated: The kitchen drawers are not property working. The silverware drawer drops every single time you open it. 3. The sink faucet is hard to open. 4. The stove is damage and dirty. 5. The countertop is old and damage. 6. It took some time to make the dishwasher door to work. The door doesn’t properly close anymore. 7. The wood cutting board in between the refrigerator and the stove was full of crumbs and dirty. 8. Once you open the unit front door, an intense, awful smell comes out. 9. The balcony light was out. 10. Few of the outlets in the living room were damage or not working. 11. There was no laundry soap provided. 12. Amenities were closed on Christmas Day and not conveniently accessible. 13. One of the elevator is not working at all and the one working, the door gets stuck all the time. 14. Very unpleasant to listen to unwelcoming comments from employees passing by and inside the only functioning elevator. I will say this property is in need of a major renovation from the kitchen to the bedrooms. But also I strongly believe Sand and Sea Condominiums are desperately in need of a new management company that truly cares about customers and strive to please and make your stay memorable and leave with the feeling of coming back soon. But to open the door and walk into this awful place it is not only bad business but also very disrespectful to customers. While there all you want is to get out of there, and this shouldn’t be the case. I will not stay here again or recommend this property. One of the reason people go away on vacation is to stop thinking about the daily activities and responsibilities, when you arrived to your condo/hotel the last thing you want to do is to stress out or worry about anything. Rather be around in a worry free environment. This is not the case at the Vacasa: Sand and Sea Condos.

"Off site property management doesn't care about local business"
11/23/15 Mike L
We are the coaches of an instate basketball team that ends our season with a trip to Seaside every year. We went to book a room for this seasons stay, and found out that it had been taken over by a property management company. We explained how we had been staying here for YEARS, and how they people there would always offer a "basketball team" special rate that included buy one night get one free. We would always make sure that our team stayed here as it was convenient and they took such good care of us. We also made sure that other teams from our school booked here to give them as much business as we could. The person on the phone not only acted like they knew nothing of the deal, which surprises me as I'm sure this was a huge part of their February business, but they just didn't care. They not only didn't offer a special, they hiked the rates way up! As we expressed our discontent, the only thing they could say is "we will make an note of your concern" This is a real shame, We have passed the word on to the other 7 teams from our school, none of us will return, I encourage all other basketball teams from out of town to do the same. An unfortunate mistake on their part.

"Shouldn't have switched to Property Mgmt"
11/01/15 Annie B Portland, Oregon
We have been going to Sand and Sea since I was a child. Because we always travel in a group, it suits us perfectly. Yes, some of the units can be dated as they are privately owned but it never took away from our experience. Even the small pool brought us great joy. A few months ago, I was looking into rates and such for a last minute trip we were going to be going on. I was devastated to learn they had switched to property management. During that time, (Sept), they were requiring a two night stay. I just looked, hoping for some sort of change and while it does look like you can book one night, that one night stay in a room that rents for $165 is going to cost you $297!!!!!! What hotel charges a cleaning fee?? $107 in fees total. That is the price of a room in November!!! I understand they are privately owned but come on! During the winter months, just about every year, we took advantage of their buy one night, get one free deal. Well, not anymore. Even if they were to offer it again, It would be more expensive than paying full price at another hotel. This is so upsetting to me as it feels like the end of an era but we will no longer be going there.

"Great Location - Poor Property Condition"
09/21/15 deblively Federal Way, Washington
My husband and I have been staying at this property for 25+ years and each visit we see the property in more and more disrepair. It's becoming real obvious that profits are not being reinvested into property maintenance issues. With the price to stay, it is unacceptable to arrive to peeling paint, rust, mold and other basic deferred maintenance issues that are commonly displayed around the property. And each unit we have stayed in has been seriously outdated, circa 1960-1970’s. The location is highly desirable and therefore the property probably enjoys full occupancy regardless of the condition thereby not feeling the necessity to maintain to attract business. Personally, we felt as though we were staying in substandard conditions and with newer properties and/or better kept properties with similar accommodations, we will most likely consider alternatives for our next stay. Additionally, Unit 604 was permeated by ethnic cooking smells and spices. We found this to be most unpleasant and the use of candles, air freshener and keeping the slider door cracked for our entire visit, provided little to no relief. With that being said, the new management was very friendly and enjoyable to talk with and the location and view can't be beat. Highly recommend Sea Star Gelato…it’s a must!

"Great location, very spacious, very convenient"

We stayed in #316. Although dated in appearance (blue carpets, older appliances and fixtures) it was a great space to anchor ourselves during our 5 day stay to Seaside. Centrally located only a few minutes walk from downtown and on the promenade with an easy 5 minute walk to the beach. Some of the baseboards and drywall needed work, but overall the unit was clean and when we needed additional towels, sheets or other supplies the staff was attentive. The mattresses were very comfortable. Parking was a little scarce but the overflow lot was just across the street and had sufficient space. Overall a great place to stay.

"Great location"
08/26/15 spbos14 boston, ma
We stayed in 302, which is an oceanfront 2 bedroom. It was well-appointed and comfortable, if a little dated. We were here for the view and the proximity to the beach, restaurants, and the prom and Broadway, the main drag. It suited our needs very well, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a washer/dryer. Having a full size fridge was great. Linens, TP and paper towel are provided as are soaps and small shampoos. They also provide daily maid service. The property is very clean, maintenance seemed to be always working, however the appearance from the outside is quite dated. The front desk staff was friendly. They do provide trolleys to get your things to your condo. The elevators are quite slow. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the people go by on the prom. It was a great value for us, and a great home base from which to explore the area.

"Make sure it is 414"
08/25/15 Howieboy Seattle, Washington
Each condo is maintained by the owners. This is by far the nicest one, modern clean and bright and cheerful. Side view of the ocean and view of mountains. You can sit in the living room and look out at the ocean or on the deck. My mom had 302, front view of the ocean, nice but, old interior needs help. 414 had everything you need in the kitchen, it was well stocked. Conveniently located by the main road " Broadway" in Seaside. Vacasa Rentals now handles the rentals they are new to this complex and our just leaning the ropes, a little patience is needed.

"Good ocean view, sub par condo"
08/18/15 JenninSeattle
This was my first trip to Seaside. Positives: We stayed in #400 which was clean inside and the view was good. That's it other than items we asked for arrived promptly. Negatives: Upon arrival the building looks like a prison during day from the East side where you pull up. This was probably the ugliest building on the beach. Parking was not abundant, so you will likely need to park across the street in the dimly lit chain linked lot. There was a big digger doing some construction at the time. The pool is small and next to the slow elevators, pretty unattractive lobby all of which do not give you a good feeling. Yikes! I thought to myself, I dropped over a grand for 3 nights for this? which I was not happy about :( The couch was sinking so low you had to use your large leg muscles to get out of it. The kitchen had no blender and the pots/pans were minimalistic. The air is untouchable, no fans anywhere not even in bathroom to defog shower. I tried locking the deadbolt and the screws sticking up cut my finger! Beach water + cut = ouch !Ugh, disappointing all around. Partial refund please?

"Pet Friendly & Ocean Front"
08/16/15 kijoma
We wanted a pet friendly location that was ocean front - Sand & Sea Condos filled that ticket. Our room was on the third floor with picture windows & a balcony facing the ocean. The interior was a bit dated but clean. Located on the boardwalk and about two blocks from the promenade, we had easy walking access to most everything. This is our "go to" place when hitting Seaside.

"Double Booked"
08/02/15 Sylvana2600 Seattle, Washington
The rental management company confirmed our reservation on the 17th. We called to add 2 more people on to our reservation a day before our arrival. The rental management company and the front desk staff both okayed the additional people and noted the reservation. We drove in from out of state to reach our destination, only to hear from the front desk that our reservation had been cancelled 3 days earlier (not by us). This "cancellation" was odd since we never received an email, refund or notice even when we called to add the 2 additional people to our reservation. The front desk staff made reference that they had extended the prior guest stay because our reservation was "cancelled". The front desk told us they didn't have any rooms for us and were not going to let us stay in the room we had paid for. Rather than resolving this issue, they had the rental management company call us directly to solve the problem they created. The management company wouldn't help us find another place to stay anywhere in Seaside. In the end neither the front desk staff or management company made the situation right. We told them to give us a refund and we were left trying to find last minute accommodations.
