This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in recently. The hotel was clean, the pool was not cold, the whirlpool was hot and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Homewood Suites in Pittsburgh (Southpointe) appears to be fairly new. The rooms and common areas were imaculate. The pool & spa were super. The breakfast was very very good. My wife and I stayed there for the weekend when we visited our three year old grandson. We enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tub. Hotel is close to Tanger outlets. Inferior quality of service and I do not recommend this hotel for the following reasons: 1) they charged my credit card in full when I booked the reservation 3 months in advance, which, in my long experience of traveling, is the first time I have been charged BEFORE I checked in; 2) the supposedly HOT daily buffet breakfast and week night dinner was […] tepid (at best) to COLD--never even approaching warm; 3) our room was never vacuumed --not even once--during our 5-night stay (tell-tale piece of red paper under desk was the evidence); 4) only had bath mat for first day, and did not have wash cloths or hand towels for last 2 days; toilet paper was also not refilled; 5) shower door was broken and water leaked on floor; 6) no ventilation fan in shower/toilet combo room!!!! ; 7) $200 usage fee was placed on my credit card WITHOUT my knowledge or authorization (we used no services or placed any charges from our room; ice machine remote location. The Homewood Suites by Hilton in Southpointe is a very clean and up to date hotel. The breakfast is a warm one with eggs, sausage, and potatoes. There is cereal, fruit,yogurt,muffins, and different bagels also. The personnel is helpful and is willing to help even later in the evening. I love the full size kitchen and the rooms are a nice size. I would rate this hotel with an A+. If you have trouble finding this hotel within the Southpointe complex just call the hotel and ask for directions from the point you are at. Perfect for travelers stop over. Great for corporate meetings and business professionals. Only one thing was very annoying; the difficulty finding the hotel after exiting the thruway ( specifically at night ). Clear signs would be a great help. All in all you could not ask for anything better.

My husband and I stayed at Homewood Suites for a few days while taking our daughter to Carnegie Mellon. The room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. There were two large windows in the room and the bed was very comfortable. It was easy getting into the city. Very nice hotel. We didn't get good cell service, but that's not the hotel's fault! We had to drive a bit to get to a restaurant, but we were out and around Pittsburgh, anyway. There was a mix-up as to the room layout, but they corrected it immediately. The maid didn't take all our trash the first day, but that wasn't really a big deal.

The hotel made me feel at home, I had a kitchen with a refrigerator that I could raid late at night. Microwave with popcorn at the ready for movie watching on the DVD. And a really comfortable bed. Excellent staff, very helpful. Very clean rooms, very nice kitchen / dinette area in each room. Surrounding neighborhood does not offer much locally, but short drives should get you what you want. Will definitely stay there on upcoming business!

The hotel was very clean, comfortable and spacious. Great location in regards to the Southpointe Business Park. Only about 10 miles from the Tanger Outlets. Nothing really near by in terms of places to eat - have to drive about 5-10 miles. Only about 15 miles from downtown Pittsburgh.
